It’s good, but far from perfect and I would like if I would say I’m happy with my stay.

It was clean, and room was nice. No aircon, but bathroom and bed was amazing + no insects.

Window frame was broken, couldn’t close the window all night. To get there, you are going through slums, and I mean - a extreme poverty region where we if it would be for our guide, I wouldn’t feel safe. And definiately DO NOT WALK THERE. You also need a suv, as road is… not existing. We had Landcruiser from Safari and we STRUGGLED. Staff ? First we were welcomed in the middle of Arusha by a owner or manager - he was great. Extreme nice guy. Unfortunately staff in lodge was … confused. Never showed us around property, so I do t even know if there is a swimming pool as no one ever showed me where it is. Dinner ? I’ve ordered chicken + fries, and vegetable curry. Prices were through the roof - but you can expect that in places like that ( 85k shillings for 2 dinners, beer and juice ) Lady from reception got our order wrong. Rather than curry, we had 2x chicken with fries and small cup of veggies - altough I made sure what I’m ordering like 6 times… WiFi ? No wifi. Breakfast ? I’ve warned staff we are living at 6am, and they kindly offered breakfast on the go - which was great. Unfortunately, they somehow managed to understand that 6am is 6:30 and we were almost late for a plane…

Avoid. This place is falling apart. Way over-priced for what it is now!!

The garden.

We are very disappointed. This lodge may have been good a few years ago but now it is neglected. Especially for the expensive price. There was no hot water and the pool was not maintained. If we wanted to eat something she suggested one dish. Then we also had to wait a long time. The road to the lodge is in very poor condition and is also a real test for the back. The only positive thing is that the staff (e.g. Faith) is friendly and it is not their fault because they do their best.

Sehr empfehlenswert. Mit dieser Unterkunft macht man nichts falsch.

Sehr sehr liebes Personal, ein Riesen Service. Jeder Wunsch wurde umgehend erfüllt. Es war einfach sehr sehr sehr schön.

An der Unterkunft gibt es nicht zu kritisieren. Falls es ein Problem gibt, wird es vom Personal behoben. Uns wurde auch bei unserem Problem geholfen, was gar nichts mit der Unterkunft zu tun hatte. Sorry bei Foto Aussenbereich bin ich abgerutscht bitte löschen

A little taste of paradise up a hill amongst a real African community

The garden and swimming pool. They were amazing. just as they appear in the pictures. A little taste of paradise amongst a local area. Lovely to stray outside too and chat to the locals. We even went to 2 church service. The bungalow was basic and clean and just as expected. The food was excellent . The chips were to die for. The veggie curry excellent and the breakfast- fantastic. The food just kept coming. They made us a breakfast box the day we left as it was v early. The staff were also fantastic and really helpful. It really was a little bit of paradise walking distance from town

The location up a hill with the bumpiest road I’ve ever seen. on arrival we had a 4x4 but I was initially worried how we would be able to get a taxi back from town if we walked in. Discovered cars, taxis tuk tuks all brave the road. I had read the road was bad in reviews but didn’t appreciate how bad!!! Immediately on arrival we were asked if we wanted dinner. They had no menu or price list so difficult to decide. We asked what was on the menu- answer - fish, beef, chicken or vegetarian. We then asked how much - vegetarian $10 the rest $25 . Latter seemed v expensive so we opted for the veggie option. it was fantastic. On later enquiry we discovered the other options were only $13, which was fine. When we asked for 2 beers the bar lady had no idea how much they were and had to phone someone to ask. The arrival was very much like an episode of Fawlty Towers but after that everything was excellent. My only real criticism is that the booking.com details are incorrect. We booked a one bedroom bungalow. Even though the details said it had 7 bedrooms we assumed this was incorrect and they were describing the property. The details also said the bungalow had air con, kitchen, fridge , coffee maker and washing machine. There was no air con in the room. This didn’t bother us but others may want it. I also booked the accommodation as it had a washing machine and I planned to wash all our clothes before part 2 of our journey. We did assume the washing machine and kitchen would be communal and the info re bungalow was incorrect. However none of these facilities were available. Fortunately, only the washing machine was a problem for us as we needed some clean clothes. eventually they agreed to take a small amount of washing to do for me free of charge. Apart from misleading information the whole place was amazing. Once we had overcome the initial hurdles the place totally grew on us.

Nette 3 Tage in entspannter Atmosphäre

Das Personal war äußerst hilfsbereit und freundlich. Als wir Probleme mit unserer Flugbuchung hatten hat sich insbesondere Faith sehr bemüht. Vielen Dank noch einmal! Die Unterkunft an sich ist sehr sauber und gut gepflegt.

Die Straße um zu der Unterkunft zu gelangen ist nicht wirklich eine Straße. Durch die immer wiederkehrenden Regenfälle gleicht Sie eher einem trockenen Flussbett. Grade für Selbstfahrer (wie uns) eine besondere Herausforderung. Zu erwähnen ist das die Inhaber ihr bestes tun um die Straßenverhältnisse zu verbessern!

Traumhafte Oase sehr zu empfehlen

Wunderschöne Oase, saubere und ausreichend große Zimmer mit Tisch, hatten im Außenbereich eine Sitzmöglichkeit, persönliche Betreuung durch Noel, dem Mitarbeiter hervorragend, er kümmert sich wirklich um alles, was das Herz begehrt, sehr großer Pool zum Bahnen schwimmen, das am Abend gezauberter Essen war hervorragend, zum Essen gibt es eine Flasche Wasser dazu, hier gibt es alles, was man für einen Wohlfühlaufenthalt in Arusha benötigt (inkl. Regenschirm), günstige und zuverlässige Reisemöglichkeiten werden organisiert

Zufahrtsstraße zum Hotel ist eine Katastrophe, vorallem nach Regen, die Personen haben es jedoch sehr gut im Griff, ich selbst hätte dort nicht fahren wollen

Staff 5 estrelas !!!

Adorámos a amabilidade do staff , principalmente do Noel . A comida é espetacular, jantámos e almoçámos muito bem ! O pequeno almoço é muito bom também . A piscina é muito agradável e os quartos muito limpos .

The lodge has the potential to be really special. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciate the helpful and kind natur

Location was quiet and relatively close to the city centre (30min walk). Wi-Fi connection was good and the staff were very helpful and attentive - they were the best part of our stay. The food was also delicious.

The bathroom was not very comfortable - as we only had curtains to separate the shower, the bathroom floors were wet after every shower. Given the price per night we expected better room facilities.

Sublime piece of paradise

The moment you walk in, the tension in your body disappears. It’s hard not to relax in a place that has the most stunning gardens. The warmest of welcomes from the wonderful Noel, which continued throughout our stay. Nothing was too much. The biggest smile with the biggest heart. The cottages are beautifully charming. The bathroom huge with an amazing shower. We ate dinner here which was freshly prepared and was delicious. Breakfast was also plentiful. A little haven to escape to when in Arusha. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

A little bit costly for the time of year, otherwise wouldn’t change a thing.

Really comfortable and peaceful stay

sanna eco lodge had beautiful gardens, very friendly and helpful staff, freshly cooked and varied foods, great wifi, comfortable room, hot water. Staff excellent giving help in the lodge and for extra jobs in the city.

I had a Wonderful Stay at Sanna Echo Lodge

The ambiance matched by the quality of the facilities in a tranquil setting surrounded by lush vegetation and nature but still within easy reach of the Arusha town centre. The pool was also well kept and excellent. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff who went out of their way to make my stay very comfortable and memorable. All together I had a great experience at Sanna Echo Lodge and wish I could have stayed longer.

It's low season and tourism hasn't fully recovered after the end of the covid pandemic so the hotel is rather empty although it deserves to be fully booked

This place is perfect

This place is amazing! It’s like a little jungle but still close enough to the city center. The location in a quiete area with some local houses with very friendly people on the street towards the city. So you can safely walk to the city or let them arrange a boda boda (scooter taxi) or Bajaji (Tuk tuk). The people are very friendly and especially Noel will do everything he can (like making amazing fruit juices for breakfast) to make your stay perfect. Thanks again Sanna team!

Keep in mind the rooms are basic

Excellent place.

The Lodge´s surrounding is really beautiful, peaceful and friendly. The staff are very kind, service-minded and professional. The food was always fresh, tasteful and just excellent. I had 5 very nice days in the lodge and I can recommend this place specially for them who likes homely atmosphere and would like to be close to the nature.

I missed som small thinks like hear dryer or coat hook on the wall. The road is not very good to the lodge, but this is just how it is in Tanzania.
