Nestled in Nelson Lake, this lovely cabin for $270 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Open Floor Plan - Sleeps Up To 9 - 2700 acre lake! Enjoy a lot of recreation, fall colors, snowmobiling, ATV, fishing, cross country skiing, mountain biking, ice fishing, and much more. Come and relax and have some fun in our custom-built, beautiful log-accented cabin on the shores of Nelson Lake in Hayward, Wisconsin. Just 8 minutes from town, this retreat has everything you need to feed your senses! Gorgeous log and knotty pine interior, large and spacious rooms to sleep one - ten people, grand open concept with a magnificent vault! The kitchen is stocked with everything you need in dinnerware, glasses, coffee cups, utensils, bakeware, serving dishes, and so much more. Come and sleep in one of our many log beds from twins to a King bed in the master bedroom! Brand new linens, pillows and comforters as well as all new bath towels are there for you to use! Why should you have to do anything when you're on vacation, but simply show up and begin having fun! We have games, cards, puzzles, books, coloring books, and magazines here to help make your time here even more enjoyable. We have a DVD player and a library of movies to choose from. Free WIFI, Apple TV, smart tv with Netflix and many other channels and programs too. Want to have some time to bake?? This is a great getaway for that as the kitchen is huge and allows for many people to be in there at one time. The dining room table opens up to five feet by five feet and holds tons of food and/or treats! We've seen it happen so many times! It's a great gathering place for friends and family to come! The snowmobiling and 4-wheeling trails are literally RIGHT OUT THE FRONT DOOR! You can head in numerous directions and play in the thousands of acres of forest and trail systems for days on end. All with great stopping points for food, drink, conversation and more! Do you like to fish?? Nelson Lake boasts 2716 acres, right here in Sawyer County. It's a wonderful fishing lake any time of the year. "Outstanding Bluegill and Bass action. Weeds, bogs, cribs and river channels offer countless angling opportunities including Crappie and Northern Pike," according to The DNR will tell you that Panfish and Largemouth Bass are common"

Great property for a weekend getaway with friends. Our intent was to just hang out, play games, etc. The kitchen was nicely stocked for our chili cook off. We enjoyed the view of the lake, fireplace, and watching our Packers beat the Cowboys on the massive TV. The host was very responsive to questions. Highly recommend.

Overall very impressed with the cabin, it was very clean and the perfect space for a weekend getaway. The host was amazing and very accommodating. Only downside is the 4th bedroom is only separated by a curtain which is not pictured or in the description of the room.

The cabin was beautiful, so well decorated and well stocked. Large deck looking out on the water. Beds are comfortable. Great location to meet a large variety of interests in activities. The place is located in a resort so be prepared to have multiple neighbors. On a beautiful lake and found it to be a quiet, scenic location overall. I would come back again.

Days of leisure and fishing
We arrived to find a beautiful cabin that was meticulously clean and had a great view of the lake. It was nice to find quality dishes and cookware, comfy beds and linens.
We had no problems, but Kevin was always available to answer questions. My only suggestion is that the pontoon's upholstery be replaced. We highly recommend this property and hope to return next summer.

They property was very nice. The owner’s take care of the inside very well. Very well equipped with everything you need. The outside needs a little work 3 grills on deck not sure why, picnic table didn’t like and chairs not in great condition. Screen door need to be fixed the screen was damaged when we got there. We would definitely stay there again

The cabin itself is gorgeous, all wood and super cozy. Arrived and everything was clean, which was important to us due to COVID. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked with every cooking pot, pan, and accessory you could want! And I mean EVERYTHING. We made every meal here during our week stay and we’re never caught off guard hunting for a spatula or vegetable peeler or anything else. And they even had little poop bags and a headlamp by the door for emergency trips outside with our dog. Morning views of the lake were perfect, and the area is incredibly quiet. Would recommend highly to anyone looking to getaway with their dog for a quiet escape.

Family vacation
The lake home and Nelson Lake were beautiful. Our family made a week of great memories. Fishing, kayaking, pontooning and swimming in the lake. Able to relax by the fire at night, able to bring our dogs. Inside of home was big enough for all 7 of us, loved the central air and big kitchen. We were very pleased. Thank you Jacki and Mike.

Beautiful property. Beds very comfortable. Owners thought of everything you might need or use. All items excellent quality. Nice to have a large yard for playing games and our grand dog to explore. Water very hard and rusty but that is the area, we were informed by the neighbors. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Hayward vacation
Hello,
We enjoyed our stay but have a few recommendations:
We rented pontoon and had to call to find out where it was, the door wasn't working properly and said it would be full of gas and we just had to fill again when done. It was half full so only filled back to half full. Finding the pontoon was a hunt but found it.
Cleaning of cabin. When we moved in there were empty and partially filled Mountain Dew bottles under the bed along with solo cups, a hat and slippers. Would have liked to have access to a vacuum or broom even to sweep up. No laundry was a slight problem but went to town to do laundry. Just helpful to have it onsite is all.
Bathroom - Very rusty water and had a very heavy iron smell to it.
Chairs - Told at last minute to bring our own chairs for the deck.
No anchor for the pontoon - had to reach out to owner to find one.
Overall, thank you. It was a beautiful location, weather was great. We had a good time. Above is something that can be addressed for future renters.

Skiing in the New Year
We had an active yet relaxing time skiing in the north woods and returning to the cozy yet spacious cabin to cook, laugh and rest. Serene winter get away 20 minutes to OO Birkie chalet! Kids loved the loft, adults had their own space and we all could hang out in the kitchen and great room. Great place!

Perfect for our needs.
This was a perfect location for us and another family. We were in Hayward for the Chequamegon mountain bike race and the accommodations were ideal for the race location. The sleeping arrangements were also perfect for 2 families. It was very clean, homey and welcoming. Communication with the owner was timely and easy. We all enjoyed the games and puzzles they had on hand!

Couldn't have asked for a better week!!!
Our family stayed during the week of July 19 - 26 and we had a WONDERFUL time! The cabin was beautiful, the weather was beautiful, the lake was refreshing. The cabin itself had everything you could possibly need and more. Boredom was not an option. Everyone, including myself even commented on how comfortable all the beds were. (more comfortable than my own...lol )
And although this privately owned cabin is located on a resort, it was really quiet the entire week... and the resort owners welcomed us to use the beach. Which the kids did and loved. This was our 3rd year renting a cabin using VRBO, and this one was so far definitely our favorite. Mike was super responsive to any questions we had. Thank you to both Mike and Jackie for sharing your cabin with us. We're on a mission to do a different location every year, otherwise, we would DEFinitely consider this one again.
