The hotel is right on the sea front where both parts of l’escala can be easily accessed without having to battle for parking. Beach towels and umbrellas provided which is a great extra touch. Room clean comfortable and very quiet despite the location.

Service in the bar/restaurant was slow and not very friendly

We did upgrade our room to the junior suite hence the rave reviews but lower value score. The change in room meant we could relax on the balcony in morning and evening and enjoy the day out around town. This hotel gave us the best patatas bravas within the town. Also ate in the restaurant and was very impressed.

the location was nice right next to the sea

there was brown water coming from the shower and taps: apparently this was a municipality problem not the hotel , but they didn’t communicate anything about this to the guests nor offered an apology or for example a drink to compensate a bit. The staff wasn’t particularly friendly and the room was above a road (not busy but still - on the photos it looks as if it’s right next to the sea) and rooms quite basic , nothing special.
