元気のいい、人懐っこい犬が4頭いて、犬が好きな人なら、さらにリラックスできます。
部屋の外側から鍵をかけることはできません。常にオーナーと犬たちが入口近くにいるため必要ないのですが（私たちは問題ありませんでしたが）、それが気になる人もいるでしょう。
宿にたどり着くまでの道（ 数百m ）の舗装がかなり荒れているため（あちこちに穴があります）、運転は慎重に。

The property is definitely a hidden gem, a secluded oasis perfect for a beautiful getaway. The home was cleaned and prepared for our visit. The home is located right off the beach front cliffs with exceptional sunrise/sunset views! We spent our days enjoying the pool and jacuzzi. If you ever get the opportunity to book with wild blue water do it! Thanks so much for making our stay so comfortable and a great experience!

Location was really beautiful, we liked to watch sunrises. The place has a very nice scenic spot where you can sit and look at the waives and the sky... It is also very quiet there.

Location is amazing, pristinely clean, quiet and relaxing. The owners are amazing people and you can have an amazing conversation with them. We had lovely time. the house is truly exceptional, brand new and very well maintained by the owners.
Read the description of the room, if you are not fine with dogs or want total privacy and the whole place for yourself that might not be the best option for you. It is not a typical resort/hotel vacation. We loved it, but some might have different expectations.

we loved our stay and enjoyed our time in the hilo area. the location is beautiful with a lovely yard and pool area. the 3 dogs are also a big plus and were loads of fun to have around. they were so accommodating and after forgetting something in our room they had it sent to our next destination(different island!)

The master suite has luxury settings and huge space, has excellent surrounding environment. It's a secluded place, need a good vehicle to reach it.
The property is the master suite of the owner's main residence, it's sharing unit with a door connected with the main entry though it has its owner entry. Not convenient for eating in the room. Dot no stay here if you are afraid of dogs.

My husband and I were visiting from Massachusetts and felt as if we were staying in Hawaiian Heaven. The property is beautifully maintained and our suite was stunning. The nuance Architecture in the King Room suite was detailed and beautiful. We were greeted by the welcoming committee of dogs that added immense charm to our stay. Donna and John welcomed us. There was a private entrance to our room near the pool which of course we enjoyed straight away. The owners of this house really created quite the layout to preserve the privacy of the guests. We spent hours gazing at the stunning oceanic view from the cliff 150 short feet from our room. The views were exactly what we were looking for. We couldn’t have been more pleased by our stay. This property is Breathtaking with fruit trees everywhere. Not having a television really helped us unplug. Honestly, we even appreciated the rustic road leading to the property because it ushered us into being present and aware of our surroundings. Our only complaint would be it was so wonderful to stay in this Paradise, it made it difficult to leave. Thank you for a beautiful lifelong memorable stay at your Heavenly Home.

No Breakfast was offered. Super view of ocean but nothing to sit on. Only a bed and a dresser with no chairs. The room was beautiful but really really small.
The location of the bathroom was weird It would have been nice if we had known that we needed to eat or bring food as there was no place to go that was remotely close.

The bed was super comfy!!
The room and bathroom are huge, clean and modern.
The property is very big and we had a nice sunrise directly at the cliff. There is also a pool and hot tub, which we haven’t used.
The owners are very kind and reacted prompt on messages and helped out with tips for the area.
It was so nice staying in the same house as the owners and also had our privacy all the time.
The last part of the road, about 0.5 miles, has a lot of potholes. Especially when you drive in the dark it is a bit harder to navigate.
We did not expect, that the drive from Kona airport takes around 2 hours. Overall, the location was not ideal for our trip. Also, keep in mind that restaurants are a bit far away but this means you are housing in a very quiet area (which is basically a + for us).
Verizon service was not the best down there, make sure that you have your offline maps downloaded :)

Their location is matchless. The home is located on a rocky cliff overlooking the ocean. It is surrounded by Hawaiian jungle and beautiful palm trees. The house itself is absolutely beautiful; we stayed in the smaller room and it was more than comfortable enough for the two of us! The marble flooring was gorgeous and the bathroom was luxurious. I loved the rainfall showerhead! Our room had easy private access through the back sliding door as well as a back door for access to our private bathroom. The house has a larger master guest bedroom with an attached bathroom as well. They have one of the most stunning pools I've ever seen along with a hot tub that overflows into the pool as a waterfall. The pool has a beautiful ocean view and it is only steps away from their outdoor terrace/bar with seating. The hosts were wonderful and welcoming, and we personally loved meeting all of their doggies. I really appreciated the secluded homestay and the privacy and peacefulness that it offered as opposed to a busy hotel or resort. It was the most wonderful place to celebrate my birthday!
We didn't find anything that we didn't like. Everything was perfect! Some people in the other reviews have mentioned the road that leads out to the property. It is a long public road that is narrow (one lane only) and full of potholes. But, we had no problem with it. Just drive slow and with care, and there is no issue.

The landscape is absolutely amazing! The owners are very nice. It's a room inside their house, but you have privacy. And they have friendly outside dogs. They were my favorite. The room and bathroom are massive. The shower and toilet are smart. Took us a minute to figure out the shower. There is a huge tub as well. The stars are so visible and bright. We sat in the backyard and stargazed. Great place if you want to get away for awhile.

The setting is beautiful – IF the weather cooperates – you never expect a nice home like this to be tucked back in here from how the road looks driving up – the grounds are nice.
We cannot imagine anyone not loving living here when weather is good, providing you have a Jeep or a ratty truck, but don’t forget this is the rainy side of the island.

The shower 🚿 (when the water is warm,) and the toilet with built-in bidet are first rate.
When we saw the big walk-in closet, I said too bad we cannot take it home with us, my wife said she would take the whole bed & bathrooms.
This is the rainy side of the island, but when the weather cooperates, it couldn’t be more beautiful.
Others have mentioned the dogs – we loved this “Welcoming Committee“, but the five of them do have free roam of the property, so be prepared for that – three of them are still puppies.
The portable A/C is noisy and inadequate, fine if you like it warm – many properties in HI do not have A/C at all.
Be advised if you show up in a street vehicle and are not comfortable trying to navigate the potholes, if you have prepaid thru booking.com, you may have a very difficult time getting a refund.
The hosts hope to improve the road, I would make sure they have and that the brush has been cut back before trying to drive here unless you have a full off-road vehicle.
We found disagreement between the son who lives in another structure and his brother on the mainland who helps w/marketing, who both bent over backwards to be great hosts, and their dad whose often sitting in the living room directly opposite the pool/hot tub wld. have discouraged my wife from using them during had the weather been sunny.
She felt that the property was somewhat misrepresented, although most of the difficulties were disclosed in other reviews, which I should have read.
The pumps in the indoor soaking tub had not been properly cleaned, after a short time the water was contaminated, also the hot water ran out so I had to take a cold shower to wash off that guck.
Hrs later, still cold, then suddenly was warm for a bit then cold again.
The terrible road forced us to cancel dinner plans, the only reason we moved from Kona.
Dilemma: The room has a fridge, coffeemaker and microwave, but no silverware, plates, or counters, sinks in bathroom, so no real way to prepare meals, yet you really can’t go get food short of a true off-road vehicle, (not a street SUV,) so we were essentially stranded w/very little to eat.
A short stay is a gamble as we were indoors w/a torrential downpour our only day there, even tho the weather was spectacular the following morn, we were rushed off by the dad, angry we were still in the room (even though all our luggage was packed in our car,) for an add’l. 4-5mins. past the official checkout time to start this review, (despite the fact that the next guests reportedly were not due for some 28hrs,) and having been told something different by his super-accommodating son, nixing any opportunity to enjoy the view we had come thous.s of mis.+paid to see, once the weather had cleared.
It would’ve been nice if our towels were left in the room until we actually checked out to use the restroom one last time.
A private kitchen like we had in our Maui/Kona condos would have been a real +!

The ocean views were amazing. The room was clean and bright, with lots of space. The host’s parents gave us some good tips that we put to good use. They even gave us a cell phone hot spot, which didn’t work well but we appreciated the effort. Nice touches like a programmable shower makes it feel a bit more luxury.
Plus or a minus depending on if you’re a dog lover—there are several friendly dogs that occupy the house and grounds. We don’t really like being barked at and licked, but the dogs were nice enough. This is a homestay without a dedicated private entrance, so you’ll be walking through the kitchen / living room of the owner’s parents to get in and out. They are very nice and helpful. Make sure to bring snacks and breakfast things, as the nearest cafes and grocery stores are 15 minutes away.

It's impossible for me to give a nasty comment to these wonderful guests. We were in family with our 1yo baby and they made all they could for us to feel comfortable, thanks for everything.
The place itself is charming, the room is comfortable (particularly the master one, where we have been upgraded for free for 2 nights) and you are 30secs walk from an AMAZING view on sea and cleef in front of the house...The perfect place to read a book or anjoy a sunrise...

The new rental Wild Blue Water is a Ma and Pa enterprise, where we rented a luxurious and spacious room with a beautiful broad view connecting to a bath with an inside whirlpool, within the complex of a modern house. There is a fridge, a coffee maker and a very practical walk-in closet.
The most exquisit thing is a spacious, irregular shaped pool right in front at the porch with an adjacent hot tub amidst the tranquillity of an untouched tropical surrounding. The premise is on the edge of the ocean, although there is no way to get into the water for a swim.
The owners are enormously friendly and trying to do their best.
Since the closest restaurants are a fifteen-minutes drive away, leading over a bumpy access road, an optional breakfast or a designated space to prepare your own meal would be desirable, as well as a water heater to make tea.
What is still missing is a WiFi connection to get into contact with the outside world.
