The long time home of an old Ocracoke family, who still owns the property, CanalHouse sits on a canal which leads to Oyster Creek and Pamlico Sound through a picturesque salt water marsh. The large back yard includes many live oak, bald cypress, and cedar trees. Enjoy the exceptional privacy on three large decks, including one on the back of the house with an outdoor shower and one surrounding an outbuilding right on the canal. NO power boat access. The heart of the house is a large room that combines kitchen, dining room and sitting room with TV. There is also a larger living room with sofa, chairs, and TV that adjoins a small sunroom with writing desk. The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerator, electric range, dishwasher and open shelving to make everything you need easy to find. The house has central heating and AC, WiFi, washer/dryer combination, and cable TV. The smaller bathroom has a standing shower only, the larger has a tub/shower combination.
