Located in Otis, this lovely house for $238 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Relax in a beautiful mountain setting at this 4-season ski house within walking distance of the slopes at Otis Ridge Ski Area (the best ski area south of the Vermont border). In fact, the back-yard (actually a meadow full of wildlife and flowers) used to be part of the ski area and there are still remnants of the rope-tow on the edge of the property. The long-range views off the back porch are fantastic. The space This house has 3 bedrooms, , 4 beds, 2.5 baths, a pull-out couch in the living room, another pull-out couch in the walk-out basement, and an electric air mattress to sleep up to 7 people. There are large flat screen TV's in the living room, master bedroom, and the walk-out basement/game room (there's a shuffleboard table, darts, and chess/backgammon table down there). There's also a large deck with half of it covered and screened in. Enjoy a warm fire in the living room or a soak in a new 7-person Artesian Spas Grand Cayman hot tub with all the bells and whistles down on a stone patio overlooking the meadow. If you're looking for relaxation, this place and the surrounding area can't be beat. Tons of great hiking, numerous lakes, and other attractions like the town of Great Barrington (20 minutes away), Tanglewood, and Jacob's Pillow are just a short scenic drive away. Guest access You will have access to all parts of the house, including a washer and dryer in the basement. The walk-out basement isn't shown in photos yet because I'm still putting the final touches on it, but it's 90% finished and it has a more rustic feel than the rest of the house with warm wood throughout. It has a shuffleboard table, darts, pullout couch, reclining couch, comfortable chairs, rugs, and a 65 inch TV. It should be completely finished sometime in the spring of 2024. This house works best as a family retreat or a romantic getaway for couples. It does not work as a place to have large or loud parties as it is located within a quiet neighborhood and has new hard-wood floors. If you are considerate of other people's property, I would love to host your stay and share why my family grew up skiing Otis and why it is the best place to ski on a powder day, or just relax in nature any time of the year.

My wife and I had a great time at Lars’ retreat. Everything we needed was there. The place was clean, easy to enter, and the hot tub is grand. I recommend this place !

House was exactly as described - beds are incredibly comfortable - especially the king in the master bath. Lots of kitchen appliances, plates, cups, silverware- everything you would need. Location is peaceful with an easy semi circle driveway for multiple car parking, if needed. The enclosed deck is a great compliment to the outer deck. The hot tub looked beautiful, but we didn't get a chance to use it. Lars was very responsive and clear. The woodstove was the absolute topper - nice and relaxing while watching tv with friends!

This house was just what we needed for a peaceful and relaxing long weekend. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds were very comfortable and the hot tub was awesome! Couldn’t ask for a better place to prep for and recover from a half marathon! Lars is a great host.

Overall, we loved our stay in Otis. The house was perfect for two couples - also had a kids’ room that we didn’t use. The place is small but laid out nicely. The kitchen was well-equipped, which is a big plus for us. The view of the backyard field was lovely. The location was great for us because we have family in Otis, but others should know that it is not especially close to restaurants and shows. We drove to both Lenox and Great Barrington with no problem, though. We also took a walk around the Otis forest and saw tons of mushrooms! The AC system was a bit complex if you are used to central air, but I was glad to have it in the bedroom at night. Hot tub a real plus. I would recommend for a family or small group.

We had the best time staying at the Meadows House. The house was spacious and clean. So many Great recommendations for Lars and the locals. We definitely look forward to staying here again. The hot tub with the spectacular view was Amazing!!! 😁

A lovely view and the location is amazing—close to many beautiful hikes and you can walk to Otis Ridge. Lars was a really responsive host (we ran out of propane on the grill and he replaced the tank for us; had to leave early for a family emergency and he was very accommodating). Hot tub was a nice treat, too!

Convenient location in a quiet area. Spacious layout and cozy beds. The wood-burning stove made for relaxing ambiance at the end of the day. The host was super helpful and understanding.

Great place and very spacious. The location was perfect especially for visiting other towns in the Berkshires to shop and eat. Then to come back and enjoy the hot tub at night just made it perfect. Will be visiting again
