The home offers 4 king bedrooms comfortably accommodating up to 8 adults, plus a bunk room with 2 full-over-full bunk beds perfect for kids (2 per bed, up to 8 total). Recommended occupancy is 10–12 adults (2 per king bed, 1 per bunk) or up to 14 guests when the bunk beds are used by children.

✅ House Rules
Guests must complete and sign a Rental Agreement within 24 hours of booking and provide names and ages of all individuals staying in the home. A $1,000 Security Deposit hold is processed on the Guest's credit card the week prior to check-in (in addition to total costs) and released about 10 days after checkout if there is no damage or excess cleaning. No unregistered guests — additional guests are $100/guest/night.
🚭 No smoking anywhere on property. Smoking inside incurs a $750 ozone cleaning fee.
🎉 No parties. Unregistered guests at a party incur $100/guest, a $600 additional cleaning fee, and immediate eviction.
🚫 No pets. A pet on the property incurs a $750 fee plus $500 ozone/cleaning fee and immediate eviction.
🔇 Quiet time: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
No wet towels or wet clothing on the furniture.
Exterior doors and sliders must stay closed at all times while the AC is running — units can freeze and shut down otherwise, and AC repairs in summer can take a week or more.
Toilet paper is the ONLY thing to be flushed.
No food or waste down the kitchen sink — there is no garbage disposal.
Please don't use the white towels for makeup removal (makeup wash cloths are provided) — stained white towels are $35/towel.
No glitter, no dye. Glitter results in a $1,000 cleaning fine. Temporary/permanent hair dye or other dye products result in a $500+ fine if there's damage to sinks, floors, or carpets.
The primary contact is responsible for all guests, and anyone else who enters the home during the stay, abiding by these rules.

No glass in or around the pool area — $1,000 charge to remove broken glass.
No diving.
Swim at your own risk.
Pool heating is an additional $600/week, available April 1–early June and Sept–Oct 31. Must notify us at least 3 days prior to arrival.
Pool tech services the pool mid-week of each stay.
A $25 late fee applies if you add pool heat within 7 days of your check-in date.

✴ Report any issues or malfunctions to the property manager immediately.
🔥 Using the Outdoor Grill
The grill is yours to use — remove food and large debris and scrub the grates with the grill brush (under the sink / in the grill tool pouch) right after use while still warm.
Empty the grease tray into the small metal bucket under the grill and close the lid. Do not pour grease down drains.
We provide: grill brush, mild dish soap, disposable gloves, and a metal bucket for grease/ash.
Please note: leaving the grill heavily soiled (grease, charred food, or pooled grease) may incur an extra cleaning charge. Message us if you need a hand — a quick clean after use keeps it safe and ready for the next guests!
CANCELLATION POLICY and SUBSTITUTIONS – Any changes, including changing dates, switching of properties, or complete cancellations will invoke the cancellation policy. Host recommends all Renters purchase travel insurance offered at time of booking to protect them in the event of an unexpected event affecting their vacation. Host cannot offer future credits or immediate refunds for unexpected cancellations due to emergencies regardless of the situation, including but not limited to weather events and acts of God, unexpected illnesses, injury or death, changing of plans, or job loss. Please do not ask. All cancellations are subject to a three hundred and fifty dollar ($350.00) cancellation fee. Cancellations must be submitted to Host in writing (email is acceptable). In the event of cancellation, no refund of monies paid will be made unless the Property is re-rented for the same price and time period of this original vacation rental agreement. If the Property is re-rented for a lesser price or time period, the original Tenant will receive a refund for the difference between the originally agreed upon rental amount and the rebooked rental amount as Owner is entitled to receive the full amount of the original rental agreement. Host will make every effort to re-rent the Property at the best of our ability. Tenant acknowledges that Host has full discretion on negotiating rental rates and number of days to book, in an effort to get the Property re-rented and make the Owner whole, while also attempting to get the Tenant the highest refund possible.

On the OCEAN, need I say more! Home is as described….would be outstanding for visiting family or families! My wife and I loved this short peaceful trip to Rodanthe! Owner Brian was on point with his communication. Beautiful home right on the beach & close to pier. The view was AMAZING! Fully stocked kitchen with an additional refrigerator on the ground floor for back up supplies. Floor plan was ideal for large group lounging on the top floor, yet bedroom suites, game room & hot tub allowed for smaller group connection. Perfect escape for our 20 something children, parents, and siblings. First time celebrating Christmas at the beach. We highly recommend booking yours! Would love to return each season.

Beach view from top floor was great. Ac was plenty cold. Parking was hazardous not enough room to maneuver the vehicles. Elevator was a great asset since some of us were elderly and a lot of help getting luggage and groceries to the kitchen and back down when we were leaving. Having the personal items provided was great. Our stay was great and we would recommend the Wave House highly

Stunning Views, but Maintenance and Communication Fell ShortThe house itself is lovely with a functional layout, and the elevator was a huge plus for our group. We really appreciated the en-suite bathrooms for every bedroom, the dolphin sightings at sunrise, and the thoughtful touches like coffee and beach towels.However, the service side of our stay was disappointing. We booked for two weeks, and despite reaching out immediately about a rusted, unusable grill and missing hand towels, it took nearly a week to resolve. The pool was our biggest issue: despite clear communication weeks in advance about wanting it heated for our second Saturday, it wasn't usable until the following Friday. The pool remained sandy and the deck was cluttered with stacked chairs throughout our stay. While the host, Brian, was responsive, the actual follow-through from his maintenance and cleaning teams was lacking. We did receive a 300 credit for the pool, but it didn't quite make up for losing a week of a paid amenity.Trisha F
