The room was small but very clean. The bathroom was large and spotless. Lounge and dining area was nice but no dining options are available at this property. 5k from Portree, no bus on this route and taxis are scarce so booking is essential but the taxi drivers are really nice/helpful.
Fridge in the room contained some very basic breakfast items but online reviews suggested more substantial breakfast. These reviews are no longer relevant as I believe the property is now under new management and previous reviews/ratings are very misleading.
However, it was flagged at booking time that breakfast was not provided. I was misled by the reviews I read recently so that is not the fault of the current management.

Very quaint clean and we appreciated the snacks in the mini fridge as well as the clear directions and instructions.
The beds were extremely hard (like sleeping on plywood. None of our party (3 rooms) slept well because of bed discomfort. It wouldn’t cost much to provide pads for the mattresses to improve comfort, esp for the cost of the rooms. The other guests that were staying in the other rooms also complained of the hardness of the beds.

Comfortable rooms, nice beds, quiet place.
There was a nice area downstairs with tables and chairs for eating breakfast or other meals, but there was no microwave.

It was clean and well appointed. The countryside was very pretty.
We originally asked for a room that was on the first floor, which we did not receive. We were placed in room 6 on the second floor. Room 6 is not a large room and it has a slanted ceiling. We were unable to get in or out of bed, or use the toilet or the tiny sink without hitting our heads. The description also stated that breakfast was wonderful, however breakfast is no longer served. There were some snacks in the small refrigerator in our small room, however. The property is in the countryside a few miles from town (which is very nice), however there is no place nearby to have meals and the property does not allow hot food to be brought in. The person who managed the property was nice enough, but really not helpful.
