The camp is located just outside of the wildlife national park but this is not a disadvantage. As you are out on safari for sizeable parts of the day your requirements from such camps are specific. First a really comfortable bed and this camp certainly provides that. Second, interesting catering and again Maisa Mara has excellent food choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dining is buffet style but your table has a dedicated waiter/waitress who takes any queuing out of the process. Tents are huge, very clean and relaxing. Nothing is too much to help so if you are going to miss breakfast and/or lunch being on safari a customised packed meal is supplied. Pool is not huge but sufficient and the pool bar very welcoming after a dusty game drive. The staff create a safe, friendly atmosphere and we would definitely stay again. A shout out for Alex and Rita but all the staff were impressive.
I don't recall a single moan or a complaint raised in our group all week let alone one requiring the attention of the camp.

Great location, peaceful surroundings, good meals, friendly staff. The tents also have almost all comfort one could wish. Turn down service also puts hot water bottles in the beds, so even at night it stays comfortable.
While very satisfied, there were some minor issues/points that could be improved: The pool was not heated and opening hours not as advertised (they even closed it off while we were guests). There was no view from the individual tents. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room would have been great.

Hotel staff not on premises during the night and there was no way of contacting them. The night security did nothing to stop unruly guests from partying until 3-4am, despite the website explicitly stating 'no parties'. We were unable to sleep for two of the three nights, getting two hours sleep at best - not ideal when guests, ourselves included, get up for an early morning game drive. Not the experience we were hoping for, nor the wildlife sounds we were told we'd hear, which was unfortunate as we had chosen this hotel for that very reason and were looking forward to it. When management staff were told of this the following morning, there was nothing more than a "sorry", no explanation or remedial action suggested. Camp is relatively new, but they were not willing to lend a pair of binoculars, instead offering only to sell us a pair from the gift shop.
