Lovely building, tasteful decor, comfortable and well appointed bedroom, super bathroom with excellent shower and friendly and helpful staff. Very nice breakfast too!

A well presented, interesting, clean and very comfortable hotel with friendly, helpful staff. And the food is very good too.
The only thing that struck me, we were in room 14 up a back staircase, was that, if that staircase had a fire, we'd be toast! The only fire exit from the rooms on this corridor is back down that stair case. There is a fire extinguisher on the landing outside the room....did I know how to use it??

Location, room, staff and breakfast were all really good. I couldn’t fault it. I also like that it is dog friendly.

Well appointed facility with pleasent staff who could not remedy the faults of management.
The online guest registration contained this statement: "Our restaurant is open every evening from 6.30 for fine dining and on Sunday we offer a traditional Sunday roast." When we arrived we were told they do not serve food on a Sunday evening. The kitchen is closed and we were told to go elsewhere. This outcome cannot be read into the e-mail we recieved. If I wanted fish and chips on Sunday night I would not have booked the Moffat House. Management has failed us and their staff.
