This location is magical! Secluded on a river Bank with a geothermal stream running next to it. Unbelievable setting. Nicely located on the Golden circle ideal for day trips. The geothermal heated hot tub was a highlight, your own personal hot spring! Absolutely loved this place!
The kitchen supplies were a bit lacking (old scratched up pans, very little to work with). And the mattresses have seen better days. A lot of house flies from the vented window in the bathroom, a screen would have help...or a fly swatter.

The sheer scale of this lodge is its greatest selling point. If you are traveling with a large group or a big family, you will not feel cramped.
The Beds: Honestly, the highlight of the stay. We’re talking massive, "sink-into-them" beds that provided some of the best sleep I’ve had in a while.
The Layout: There is a fantastic abundance of rooms. Everyone had their own sanctuary, and the common areas are expansive enough that you aren't constantly stepping over luggage or each other.
The Great Outdoors: The outdoor area is nothing short of spectacular. Whether you’re enjoying a morning coffee or an evening drink, the exterior setup is clearly where the heart of this property lies. It’s well-maintained and serves as the perfect backdrop for a getaway.
While the "bones" of the lodge are excellent, the lived-in experience was dampened by some frustrating oversights and aging furniture.
The "Kitchen Paradox"
It was a bit bizarre to have such a large, beautiful space but find it lacking in basic essentials. We found ourselves constantly hunting for items:
Shortage of Cups: For a lodge designed to hold so many people, the cupboard was surprisingly bare. We were constantly washing the few mugs we had.
The Teaspoon Mystery: Not a single teaspoon to be found. It sounds like a small gripe until you’re trying to stir your coffee with the handle of a fork.
Outdated Equipment: Most of the kitchen appliances felt like relics. They worked, but they were temperamental and definitely past their prime.
The Interior Aesthetic
While the outdoors is a 10/10, the indoors is starting to show significant fatigue. The sofa in the main living area was particularly disappointing—it was visibly worn out, saggy, and didn't offer the kind of comfort you expect when you're ready to lounge after a long day.
