My only complaint is that it's advertised to sleep 8, but it only sleeps 6. So 2 people had to sleep on the vintage couches that were uncomfortable. Plus, there were no extra blankets for those who didn't have a bed so we had to go buy some.

We took the kids to Schlitterbahn for two days and wanted to stay overnight somewhere since we live in Houston. The house has a lot of space, it was clean and the owner communicated via e-mail very well so we would know all the necessary information. I would definetely go again. Also, we did a nightly walk and there is a main square down the street that is lit up and super nice at night time.

Property is good except cockroach problems and outside cleanliness. Outside of the house created a feeling of non living area. Of course it's non living area but owner should create the impression that it's a living property. Overall good

First impression is best impression. As soon as you step into the porch, looks very dirty.

I rented the Parlor House for my daughter's bridal party and other wedding helpers in the days surrounding her wedding. The home comfortably accommodated 8 guests and had ample space and supplies in the modernized kitchen to cook for the group, along with both indoor and outdoor dining tables. The large mounted TV provided entertainment, and when connected to our laptop, served as a karaoke machine for a couple of hours of fun. The Parlor House combines a modern refresh with the charm of a bygone era - restored wood floors, high ceilings, and vintage parlor furniture. The home was clean and each bedroom featured fresh linens and towels and a closet. Each room has a ceiling fan and an a/c unit. One bedroom has a king size bed, another a double bed, and the third has 2 twin beds. A queen airbed is also available. The home is very near the city square, with shops and restaurants in walking distance. Texas Lutheran University is a short drive, and city parks are also close by. Our host Adam was very responsive; when we had an issue, he tended to it right away. Check-in was super easy with a coded entry, and check-out was also a breeze. The home is not wheelchair accessible as it has 5 or 6 steps up to the entry at both the front and back doors.
