We had an exceptional week regarding the weather but unfortunately my husband was housebound, this however did not detract from his enjoyment of the cottage and garden.
I enjoyed the local walks particularly along the estuary to Parrog. We have been staying at the cottage for many years and have never been disappointed with local restaurants, shops , galleries and of course the cottage.
We would have benefited from a garden umbrella because the weather was so unseasonably hot!

. Excellent location at short walk from town centre in quiet side road . It was fitted out as the owners' second /holiday home so was very well appointed in all respects . Storage heaters much appreciated for background heating during unseasonably chilly June week. Very comfortable plushy carpet on stairs and landing. Comfortable beds and furnishings. Welcome bottle of prosecco and welcome note from owners much appreciated. Lovely sunny patio area and spacious pretty garden. Lockable shed for bikes. Coastal Cottages in Market Street were extremely helpful with any small snags , especially the lovely Alison ( you can drop in any time).
TV was difficult to operate particularly tuning in basic channels . Shower pump in en suite was occasionally intermittent....never failed but might need attention. Care needed at top of stairs as turn is very tight. All the knives were blunt ...knife sharpener wool be useful. Not easy to immediately identify the right cottage on arrival.WHAT3WORDS is the best guide .

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tyddyn Bac. The cottage is very homely with all the facilities that anyone would need. It is within easy walking distance of all the excellent pubs and restaurants in Newport.
It is not possible to park right outside the cottage, but parking is easy just around the corner in LLain yr Eglwys. No more than 20 yards from the cottage's front door.
