We had family stay with us and the space was perfect for a group dinner. Plenty of room, well stocked, clean, bright and comfortable. Easy drive to Parksville for groceries and a few restaurants in easy walking distance away. We enjoyed our week there. Thank you!

This place had it all. Easy access to the beach, vast collection of books and games, full kitchen so we could cook for the family and it was nice and clean. We hope to stay here again.

This home was fantastic. We absolutely loved our stay and will most certainly be back! We came with our 2.5 year old daughter and our dog. The home had everything we needed to be comfortable (well stocked kitchen, beach towels, etc.). We packed a wagon for our beach excursions, which was an 8 minute walk down the road. The beach is perfect for young kids! And dogs are permitted while on leashes. Back yard area has a BBQ and hose which were great! And we saw deer most mornings and evenings! Highly recommend - it's a perfect stay.

This "cabin in the woods" is exactly as the pictures describe. Spotlessly clean and quiet. A short walk to a sandy natural beach. Surrounded by trees, with a nice restaurant nearby and also close to shopping, takeout etc. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes etc and well laid out for preparing meals and snacks. There were only 2 of us plus our dog, but there is plenty of space/bed options for a larger group. There is absolutely no smoking on the property, grass, roadways etc. So, if like my husband, you enjoy an evening cigarette, you will have to stroll down to the beach. If you are more than occasional smokers, this may not be the property for you. Also, the day we arrived it was very hot. There is no aircon, but the place cooled down with doors and windows open. But there is no fenced area for a dog, so if your dog isn't well trained it would have to be leashed. All in all, highly recommended.

We loved our stay in Alexis’ Tanglewood town house during the May long weekend. Everything we needed was there, including some great extras such as fans and beach toys. We loved how close it was to Rathtrevor Beach and Riptide Lagoon mini golf. Alexis sent a great welcome letter prior to our stay that explained everything we needed to know. We’ll be back!

This area and unit are tough to beat for a both a couple or family stay on Vancouver Island. Close to the best beach in the area, great food, mini golf - the list goes on! Will definitely book this accommodation again.

My husband stayed for 4 nights at Tanglewood while he was visiting nearby family. He loved everything about the unit - super clean, well furnished, stocked kitchen, comfy bed. Such a great place made for a fantastic stay. He highly recommends.

Beautiful unit tucked in the forest, only steps away from the wonders of Rathtrevor Beach. This new home had everything we needed. It was clean, beautifully furnished and was exceptionally well stocked. Check in was easy and the property owner was extremely friendly and kind!! We will definitely be back to stay here again!!!

This was a great property for our family. The house is well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay and is very clean with nice appliances and finishings. The location is fantastic, a quick two minute drive into town or an easy bike ride. Rathtrevor Beach is a very close walk. The house feels spacious and gets a ton of natural light with huge windows and the fireplace was lovely for cozy fall evenings. The yard area is very big and well manicured. Best of all, we appreciated the property being pet friendly, even for our large breed dog. Alexis was great to communicate with and provided all of the necessary information plus lots of extra tidbits to help you plan your stay. I would highly recommend this property and will be back ourselves.

We spent Thanksgiving weekend here and it was wonderful! The kitchen was fully stocked and I was able to cook a full turkey dinner for six. The location is awesome and the kids loved playing at the beach and the nearby civic playground in Parksville. We had a great family holiday. Thanks for a great Thanksgiving!

I can’t say enough about this accommodation. Alexis was very easy to deal with and replied to us in a timely manner when needed. The cottage is very well equipped with anything you would need to be comfortable, the pictures online, in my opinion, don’t do the place justice. I would definitely rent again.

We loved this cozy near-the-beach cabin and our only complaint about our trip was that it was too short! The cabin was clean and comfortable and the setting next to the forest was peaceful and relaxing. We are coming back next year!

Our stay at the cottage exceeded expectations! It was like a home away from home. Great location, tons of amenities, well stocked, comfortable, and private. Host was very responsive and went above and beyond to ensure our every need was accommodated. The easily accessible beach was beautiful and provided hours of joy for the whole family. Will likely book again for a longer stay next summer. Highly recommend this as your next vacation destination.
