What a unique Jordanian experience! In a beautiful quite part of Jordan. Sleeping in a cave but a luxurious and well decorated cave with electricity and even wifi. The beds are so comfy. The owner is amazingly hospitable and warm. His breakfast are perfect and served with care. Every detail is well thought! we will come back. Karl

A very unique experience staying in amazing, cozy and comfortable rooms tucked just inside a white-washed, clean and tidy cave (our room had a window, which we preferred; some are fully cave-like, but always in a neat and clean way). Comfy bed, nice lighting, and plenty of blankets and space heater to keep us warm. Wonderful staff Alex took good care of us with dinner, breakfast, blankets, and good conversation. He is a great guy who will take care of all your needs and become a friend. Close to Shobak Castle, which is definitely worth a visit. Otherwise, a bit of a remote spot, so be sure to tell them the day before you arrive that yes, you would like dinner, please! And a wonderful dinner will be served in the shared dining room.
We were there during the war with Iran, so Jordan was devoid of tourists. Great for visiting the sites, but it’s difficult for these awesome places to survive. So: go!!! It’s pretty great. Don’t expect luxury accommodations, and be prepared with extra layers. Do expect an amazing adventure, good food and conversation, a comfortable bed, and maybe a new friend.

Staying at this hotel is all about the unique experience of sleeping in a cave. We were the only guests as it was out of season, and we were looked after in the evening by the owner who was very hospitable and served us delicious food. The location for Shawbak castle is amazing as you are right at the foot with an amazing view.
This is not a good place to stay in winter. It was cold and windy and the ‘rustic’ bathroom is a walk from the room so you get cold on the way! Unfortunately the owner was called away and unable to serve us breakfast and there was no backup which I put down to it being off peak.
