Siesta-Zen (2BR) - Bright, Airy, Newly Remodeled, and steps to the Village and Best Beach in the country. This is "Siesta-Zen", a Gertrude Rentals property. Leave the car behind! Beautifully decorated, set on a private street just 450 steps to best beach on the Siesta Key and five minutes walk to Siesta Key Village! Sure to provide a combination of fun, ease and relaxation you can't get in other properties. The Location - You work hard and you deserve this. The patio is 100% private and surrounded by tropical plants. Perfect for enjoying a quiet cup of coffee, good book, cocktail(s), or an al-fresco meal. We are a one minute walk to beach access 7, the best beach on Siesta Key and five minutes to the heart of the Village and the best fresh oysters, seafood, tropical drinks, ice cream, entertainment, and even gourmet donuts on the island. The beaches at this location are the widest and have panoramic views of the gulf to the North-West-and-South and are the top spot in North America for viewing sunsets. You can swim or “often” wade to Sand Dollar Island, a naturally occurring white sand cay popular with dolphin's sand-dollars and “occasionally” giant-conch. The water is shallow clear and calm with white quartz-sand tide-pools perfect for sleeping drinking or playing. This is the spot on Siesta where you can go from the water to lunch or dinner and back to the sand without putting on your shirt and shoes. Bear Gear - Correction for Air-b-n-b listings. We provide beach towels and beach chairs at every location, umbrellas and carts at most locations, and do not provide "snorkeling gear" at any locations. Sorry for the confusion. Snorkeling gear can be rented or purchased nearby. Support Post Booking - I understand vacation time is precious and I will make sure you get the most out of it. My number is the only contact information you need. My units are at the top attractions on the island. Cars are never required, but you will have private parking near the unit. Check-in any day of the week at any time using your private door-code. No requirement ever at checkout. Free early check-in when possible. Never hidden fees or solicitations. Every unit including this one is available for instant booking. When you book with me you get a fully accessible and knowledgeable owner/host and reliable advice from an approved local expert. I can recommend the best spot for fishing or fresh fish, Michigan or Ohio State games, romantic-dinners marriage-proposals or singles, Eco-tourism, family friendly activities, or safe ways to lose your kids when you need a break. For the less extroverted, every booking comes with an unabashed guidebook detailing the property, all my favorite things to do in the area, and never any advertisements or solicitations. This is the only rental offering of its kind on the key. Terms - Payments are 50% refundable when canceled at least 60 days before arrival. Payments are not refundable when canceled less than 60 days before arrival. Events or gatherings involving outside guests are only allowed with prior approval from the management. Guest agrees to hold the Property Manager and Owner harmless from any liability for injuries while on vacation. *If you prefer insured bookings, we recommend providers Generali and Rental Guardian for Trip-Protection coverage. Events - Many of our properties are wonderful locations for gatherings, unfortunately this unit cannot allow gatherings involving third party vendors or visitors outside your occupancy limit.

This pretty condo is well located between the beach and the village and has everything you would need. Owner was very responsive and made the check in/check out process easy. Kitchen has all the cooking supplies you could need just be aware need to purchase your own pantry staples. The locals are so friendly, and I recommend the sunset, bike ride, Eco kayaking, and the beef foil if you’re adventurous!

We loved our stay in Siesta Key! We could walk everywhere or take the frees shuttles. We walked to the beach every morning at 6am for sunrise, it was so worth it!! People were friendly everywhere. The house was comfortable, thought the mattresses weren't great and could be softer. There's not much room for luggage and we had large suitcases that made it difficult to find places to lay them out. The sofa sleeper was very comfortable. We enjoyed the home, the kitchen was cute and we did fix breakfast and lunch a few days. There's one bath but its roomy and very nice so it worked great with the 4 of us. Thank you for providing the beach towels and chairs!

Overall, this cottage is ideal! It is in the BEST location,making it convenient and easy to walk to the village or the beach. Everything is exceptionally clean and updated. However, there are a some things that need to be fixed. For instance, the back door in the bedroom does not lock properly. I noticed this was mentioned once before and the response back was that Siesta Key is an island free of crime and is very safe. That most certainly should not be the response, when someone is renting a place for vacation. Regardless of that, one should be able to lock the back door and comfortably sleep at night being reassured that the door is safely locked. The only way to know if it is locked, is to lock it from the outside with the code and walk around the cottage and reenter from the main door. This is a BIG issue and I am appalled that it was mentioned previously and not taken care of. As a side note, I live in an extremely safe area, yet there is still crime anywhere you go and everyone has the right to lock their doors.In addition, there is a really nice big window in the kitchen, which used to have a shade at one point because you can see the hardware is installed. When it is dark out, and the gate to the patio doesn't lock, it would be nice if a shade was installed to be able to pull down at night. The patio with all the palm trees is beautiful, but the door to the patio doesn't close properly and there should be a lock from the inside. In addition, the pavers leading to the gate, are not securely placed, making it very difficult to wheel in luggage. Not conducive for people with bad backs or anyone that is older and can't simply pick up their suitcase and carry it.The back bedroom needs another way to turn on the light and the fan. As is, if you are not tall, you need to climb onto the bench to turn on the light and fan. (not safe by any means) Also, there is no mirror in this bedroom either, which would make things more convenient when getting ready to go out, as the other bedroom has a mirror. Lastly, there is no light in the kitchen, and there was one cockroach spotted in the kitchen as well.

We don’t have enough great things to say about our stay here. We couldn’t have asked for more. The description was on point, and it’s not exaggerating when it said they thought of everything. Every detail was covered. The cottage was great and very very clean. The beach was a very short walk — less than a few blocks— away. We come to Siesta Key every year to visit family that live close by. We stayed almost a week on this trip. On our second day, we decided that we’d like to return to this spot. The property is fantastic. Bravo to the host!

We are always grateful when our VRBO meets our expectations and our recent stay with Gertrude Rentals fit this billing to the tee. As advertised our home was minutes from the beach and restaurants to where we never had to get in the car. Our home was more than spacious with all the amenities needed, not only for a good night sleep, but also to prepare meals and just relax in the home. Extremely clean and well organized. The puzzle left in drawer was a very nice touch. Once in our home we never had to communicate with the owner as everything was as described and worked perfect. We were very appreciative of the check-out procedure as it was made extremely easy. Thank you Gertrude rentals for being a big part of a wonderful vacation.

I would stay at this location again! Clean, close to the village and very close to beach access #8. Text landlord and got a response within minutes and he was very friendly. Love the big window with the fenced in yard. The beach chairs and cart were very helpful. I would book and will since I live only 3 hours away.

Had a lovely stay in the heart of Siesta Key. Home was immaculately kept and had a cool vibe to it. Beautifully updated and comfortable. We enjoyed coffee on the back patio and especially being able to easily walk to the beach. Big plus was having beach chairs, towels and a cart right there. Awesome time.

We had such a wonderful visit in Siesta Key! The house was the perfect size for our family of five. Location was close to beach, shops and dining…all very quick and easy walks. Everything we needed was included in the house. Cart to pull the chairs to the beach was a huge help! If we make it back to Siesta Key, we would definitely stay here again.

The house and location were absolutely amazing. Steps from both the beach and village. We would definitely stay here again. My only qualm was that the house was not ready at check-in time. The cleaners were there a good half hour past check in. The back patio was also a little overgrown so we didn’t use it at all. Other than that, would definitely recommend!

Comfortable, a little funky re room arrangement. It worked for us and we could walk to Village which we really liked and enjoyed. Really pleasant. I slept well in the front room, neither traffic nor light were a problem. Lack of hanging space a bit of an issue.

Our stay was very memorable for our family. Even though temps dropped to low 30s, the host was very quick to provide any needs. We love how close we were to to ocean and to shops/restaurants. It is a bit smaller than what we expected but it turned out to be perfect. We are looking to stay there in the future.

We rented this bungalow over thanksgiving to be near our family of 10 including grandkids. I raised my sons on siesta so the area is special and familiar to us. This was gramma’s peaceful escape. Close to walk our dog in the neighborhood & for us to catch the sunsets along the beach and walk into the village for drinks & dining. Convenient to everything. The backyard was a tropical oasis to enjoy coffee or cocktails. The local Osprey was our alarm clock roosting above in the trees. Love, love, loved it.

Siesta Zen was the perfect little beach house for the 2 of us but would have been just as comfortable for 4!Secluded patio with grill was such a nice retreat for coffee in the mornings and cocktails in the evenings! The mosquitoes were unbearable so we added citronella candle and bug spray for future guests to enjoy! The location was within walking distance to the village as well as the beach! Surrounding guests were super friendly and quiet. Only downside is the road noise from Canal Rd. If sleeping in single bed near front of house it is very loud at night as cars roar by, also, if you prefer dark room to sleep in this room does not get very dark. Thankfully, we were visiting in October and not the high season otherwise I think the street noise from Canal Road may have been annoying.Extra bonus: all the beach items were included!All that aside, I still think we would definitely stay here again!

Came here for a girls weekend and it did not disappoint! A minute walk to the beach - a wagon and beach chairs were provided and Made the whole experience so convenient! Great location - 5 minute walk to the siesta key village filled with food, shopping, music and drinks! Cottage was exactly as shown on as. Definitely will book again next year when we return!

This was a beautiful place to stay and VERY close to the beach! We had a wonderful time. I enjoy vacationing with activities planned but I also enjoy relaxing wherever I’ve rented out and this was perfect! The only thing I could mention was the location wasn’t terrific for nearby grocery stores. We rented a vehicle so it wasn’t an issue but for those who didn’t plan on renting a vehicle, it may become an issue. Otherwise, I’d give a solid 4/5 stars.
