We had a fantastic 3-night stay at Apartment Varošino in Zadar. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well furnished, with everything we needed for our stay. Having access to a washing machine was particularly useful, especially in the hot weather when some clothes definitely needed a refresh! The air conditioning was also very welcome, as the midday heat could be intense.
The location is absolutely fantastic — right in the heart of the Old Town, close to an abundance of bars and restaurants and just a very short walk from the waterfront. We loved being able to step straight out into the atmosphere of Zadar and have everything on our doorstep.
Bruno, the host, was very helpful. The access instructions were sent on the day of arrival, although unfortunately we missed them initially due to poor phone signal. When we called Bruno, he responded straight away and helped us get in without any fuss.
The apartment is situated above a couple of restaurants, so there is some noise, particularly on Friday night when music continued into the early hours. We were aware of this before booking and expected it, and honestly, it really wasn’t an issue — a pair of earplugs did the job! In fact, we found the lively, raucous atmosphere rather endearing. Looking out from the apartment into the alleyways below, with the nightlife in full swing, felt like such a special and authentic glimpse of Zadar after dark. If you’re considering staying here, don’t let the potential for some noise put you off — for us, it was part of the charm, and if we hadn’t been quite so tired, we probably would have joined in!
Overall, we absolutely loved our stay. Fantastic location, lovely comfortable accommodation and a great base for exploring Zadar. We would happily stay at Apartment Varošino again.

Talán az óváros legautentikisabb szállása. Esténként a földszinten lévő bárban a helyi férfiak zenélnek és énekelnek. Az éttermek zaja egyáltalán nem zavaró, inkább hozzátesz a hangulathoz. Imádtuk a helyet!

The property has a great location, in the old city of Zadar, close to many restaurants and shops and 15 minutes away from Kolovare beach, the most beautiful beach in the city.
It's on the second floor, overseeing a bar and a restaurant that offer a beautiful view, but also come with music and people talking for most of the day and night.
It is a very comfortable apartment, comfy bed and dark bedroom (thumbs up for the blackout curtain), with some beautiful furniture pieces and a great atmosphere. 2 rooms: bedroom + kitchen.
Naturally cool, but also with AC if needed.
Late check-in possible, the owner was extremely friendly and kind and waited for us an extra half an hour (due to the plane having a delay).
There was music playing all the time from the bar and restaurant on the ground floor. But how I felt about it depended on the hour and mood, having background music was mostly enjoyable, created a special atmosphere, only a bit annoying in the late hours of the night (noise can go on till 2 or 3 am).
The stairs were quite narrow and steep, but not too much too climb, only till the second floor.

Líbilo se mi město, blízkost všeho kolem.
Nelíbilo se mi předání klíčů od apartmánu, špatný popis umístění klíčů, musel jsem se informovat v přilehlém baru. Dveře do chodby byli zabarikádované stolem a židlemi. Schránka na klíče byla až za vchodovými dveřmi. V místě je velký hluk, s přilehlých hospod a barů, hluk utichá až po 2.00h. Ráno v 8.00h hluk přicházejícího personálu, který začne uklízet hospody a hlasitě se bavit.
