About this lodge
Our family lodge has been an annual getaway vacation spot for gathering with friends and family to relax, go horseback riding in the nearby state park, boat around on Brantingham Lake, and to gather by the campfire to tell stories. It is quiet, peaceful and serene; often inviting local wildlife such as the deer to come up to the scenic back windows early in the morning while you rest your feet just on the other side. The lodge is suited to accommodate large gatherings with 9 bedrooms and 15 beds. It has been common to have over 30 people staying comfortably all at the same time. The Lodge has plenty of other activities available, including ATV trails nearby, access to various rivers and creeks for kayaking or canoeing and even a local favorite swimming hole on Otter creek with natural rock slides that we have enjoyed over the years.

This lodge was the perfect fit for our friends group trip. The kitchen, living room, & dining room space was open concept & was perfect for allowing all of our large group to be together while not being on top of each other.We appreciated that the kitchen was fairly well stocked with typical kitchen items including a drip coffee pot and filters, blender, pots, pans, & platters for cooking & serving large meals, cutting boards, can opener, dishes, mugs, a griddle, etc. There were plenty fans for each room and a few portable AC units throughout the house. There were also games, markers & coloring books in the livingroom corner cupboard that we utilized. Of note, there were not quite enough towels for each guest in our group (we had 16 adults and 9 children). One room had towels under the bed that weren’t found until the end of the trip. We were thankful for firewood on site for the fire pit & found a functional kiddie pool/waterslide in the shed that the kids enjoyed. We found a pot in the cupboard & a few potholders with mold on them. We appreciated the washer & dryer on site, the distance from the house to the road & how it was fairly quiet road other than some ATV’s passing here and there (felt safe and secluded for little kids)Otter Creek down the road was a fun outing, we got some inner tubes from the local dollar general and enjoyed sliding down the natural water slides. This was overall a great fit for our group and we would love to return in the future.

We really enjoyed the property. My family consisting of my Mom, me and my husband and our four sons and their children, 23 total, had a great stay! The yard was perfect for Bocci Ball and Otter Creek with the natural water slides was definitely a very fun outing each day!! Thanks for the use of your lodge

This location had a great layout for our family of 21 to be together. The open kitchen/living area and spacious backyard accommodated all of us for group activities. While it's obviously a beloved family cottage, regular maintenance and upkeep is lacking. Lots to overlook in the way of basic offerings - some saggy mattresses, mildew in bathrooms, fetid odor emitting from built-in wood kitchen trash bins, warped drawers, dull knives, only one cutting board, no replacement lightbulbs, dusty fans and vent covers and two made beds upon arrival had dirty sheets that needed to be washed.There's no dishwasher, so bring paper plates and cups. Be sure to use the Deet provided as several in our group found embedded ticks :(.While we had higher expectations, there was a great set-up for outdoor fun, games, a serene, relaxing setting and beauty in the surrounding area to enjoy. We all had a great time!
