This Carriage House sits upon the water's edge overlooking Lake Superior and provides beautiful views of the sunrises and sunsets on the glistening waters of Lake Superior. PROPERTY This coastal white Carriage House with cedar highlights is a 3-level home that has 1-bedroom, 2 full baths, one half bath, quality linens, and is outfitted with comfortable luxury Stearns and Foster mattress for a restful night's sleep. The Carriage House has everything you need to relax and listen to the waves for a private and up-close experience. Fully air-conditioned to make your stay comfortable on those warm days and an electric fireplace for a cozy setting on a cold day. OUTDOOR PATIO & DECK A lower walkout patio offers outdoor lounge furniture, accent lighting, fire pit, a gas grill, and a gas patio flute heater to keep everyone comfortable while providing beautiful ambiance on a lake evening. Just feet from the shore, the lower grass terrace offers sparkling views of the moon rise over the water or the warm glow from the fire pit. Firewood is stacked and onsite for your use. This terrace is situated on an 8’ overlook providing stunning views with stair access to the water. On calm days, take the kayak/paddle board combos (2 available) down to the water and glide across the clear lake for a refreshing recharge. BEDROOM & SLEEP The master bedroom is located on the upper floor and is outfitted with comfortable and luxury class king size Stearns and Foster mattress for a restful night's sleep on a modern platform bed. The master bedroom has a full bathroom and TV. For additional sleeping arrangements, there is a pull-out couch located in the lower level. KITCHEN The kitchen is fully equipped with stunning views of Lake Superior from the main floor kitchen and living room. A walkout deck overlooks Lake Superior and offers a relaxing and refreshing spot for morning coffee on the lounge furniture. The kitchen is stocked with a KEURIG one-cup coffee maker with stocked variety of coffee flavors, basket of snacks, toaster, blender, silverware, glasses, ice-maker, and all your daily kitchen cooking items and dishes. LOWER LEVEL The lower level features a walkout patio, a den area with views of Lake Superior, a full bathroom, pull-out couch, board games, life vests, beaches towels, TV, and a washer and dryer. SMART TV & INTERNET The Carriage House is equipped with Roku Smart TV's to live steam free content or connect the Roku TV to your paid subscription services. The Roku Smart TV's have a "Guest Mode" that allows you to identify your check in and out dates and the Roku Smart TV will automatically log you out of your subscription services on your departure date. Once you walk into the property, table top placards will identify the passcodes to connect your device(s) to free high speed internet. LOCATION The Carriage House is located at the start of the popular North Shore of Lake Superior while located close to the canal, restaurants, entertainment, and downtown Duluth. It is located only two (2) blocks from Brighton Beach Park (Kitchi Gammi) and Lester River Park for great hiking or mountain biking. A grocery store is within two (2) blocks. The Carriage House will not disappoint! It truly is every bit as wonderful as you imagine it would be from seeing the pictures. This is by far one of the best, if not THE best, vrbos I have ever stayed in, and I have very high standards. It was impeccably clean! The layout of the home is fantastic and each level is so well-appointed. Perfect balance of bright+modern yet cozy+nostalgic. And the VIEWS! I spent one afternoon reading while watching and listening to the ice-stacking and the lake as it constantly changed throughout the day. I highly recommend this place, and am definitely planning on staying again sometime. Thank you again, Tabitha!

Everything was perfect at the Carriage House starting with communication with the host. Upon arrival, we were amazed at how unique and appealing this home was. The quality architectural design and furnishings are superior. It still has a "new home" feel. The views of the lake are spectacular and the location is convenient and safe. Every little detail is executed in a way that made us feel like we were in a luxury rental. I'll be back for sure.

I had stumbled across this listing a while back but never able to stay here, and my family and I had been to the North Shore during warmer seasons but never during the winter. So as a Christmas gift I thought it would be fun to bring the family and enjoy Lake Superior for an extended weekend knowing that the holidays were going to be crazy busy.
The location is ideal. The house is on London Rd which can be busy especially peak season, but during the winter it’s not nearly as loud. You have easy access to everything that Duluth has to offer as well as right at the start of 61 going up the North Shore. Additionally a Super One is amazingly close to get provisions.
The house itself is beautiful! It’s extremely comfortable with a perfect view of the Lake so you can see downtown Duluth and ships day and night. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need including some basic spices and oil. There are three TVs in the house which we made good use of during the evenings with a Roku to allow you to watch movies or shows with your own streaming services, or you can also Airplay to them as well.
The bathrooms come with small bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion, along with other items you would typically expect from a high end luxury hotel stay. The beds are very comfortable, even the pullout couch which has a mattress topper.
There are lots of unexpected details throughout the house and you can’t beat Tabitha for responsiveness! Book it!

This property has it ALL! Stunning views, impeccable decor and flow and beyond. The pictures are exactly what you should expect and more. My husband and his mother stayed for 5 days while they prepared her local property For Sale and it was perfect. All the amenities, even fresh coffee pods! Tabitha was available to answer all my questions, which were very few, promptly. We HIGHLY recommend this house and will for sure be back soon. Thank You!

In a word: simply the best vacation rental we’ve ever experienced. [Ed. note: that’s actually eight words, but it doesn’t change the fact that the sentiment is absolutely true.] The views are stunning, with incredible outdoor space to enjoy them. The kitchen is exceptionally lovely, and it’s well appointed with new appliances and all of the cooking tools you’d need. The bedroom is cozy, with a wonderfully comfortable king bed. And the location is perfect, with easy access to downtown Duluth (including Canal Park, downtown restaurants, and Fitger’s… the last of which is a smidge too idiosyncratic for our liking… and I digress). It truly felt like our own cozy home for the weekend, with exquisite Lake Superior sunrise views awaiting us and our morning cup of coffee. As we left, we said to each other, “We’ve got to stay here again.” I’d recommend it to anyone… just not on the same dates as our next Duluth vacation.

The Carriage House was far enough outside of the heart of Duluth to be quiet, but close enough to make excursions a short drive away.
The houses amenities were very well thought out. We did not have to make any late night trips to the store for things we did not bring.
New London Cafe was very close by and proved a very yummy breakfast location.

This property is cozy, calming and has character galore. The interior is so well appointed and the views are incredible! Every detail is carefully curated with form and function in mind. My kids loved all of the nooks and crannies while my husband and I found relaxation in the comfortable furniture and fire ambiance. Despite the rainy weather that kept us from outdoor enjoyment, this was the perfect place to be cooped up. I absolutely loved it here and highly recommend.

The Carriage House is exactly as noted and photographed. It is evident that a lot of thought has been put into the design/layout and creature comforts. We felt at home immediately. Often it is stated that places are walkable from the property but in actuality, that is a stretch. Not the case with the Carriage House. We have stayed at many rental properties and we found the Carriage House to go above our expectations.

Great location, dining or shopping in Duluth minutes away or head up the north shore! Beautiful comfortable cozy home, tastefully decorated. Fell asleep listening to the waves nightly! Sitting out on the deck one could easily watch the waves for hours! Awesome views, and an awesome stay! Would highly recommend!

My husband and I book the carriage house for our eight anniversary it was absolutely perfect! The house itself is located close to everything in Duluth. Very clean with plenty of extra amenities, and the view is the cherry on top! Right on Lake Superior, we did venture out everyday but honestly I could have stayed on the deck the whole time! Tabitha was easy to communicate with and a wonderful host. I highly recommend this place to anyone, we will be going back very soon!!!

There was a perfect mix of sun and shade on the upper deck, overlooking the lake, that made the whole day enjoyable on the comfortable patio furniture. This is the coziest little cottage on the shores of Lake Superior. The views are spectacular from the patio, deck, and fire pit area. This was perfect for our family of four. The house sits closer to the shore than the neighboring Gales and as a result the views are even more spectacular. Our kids said the sleeper sofa was very comfy. Highly recommended for families of 3-4 that can fit into this space.
