Great stay for a short weekend for a friend’s wedding. Would love to come back and stay again when we have more time. The only downside is the smell of chicken farming, that’s true for most of the region!

We stayed the weekend and must say it was perfect... nicely tucked away from everyone and yet still close to downtown Harrisonburg. We enjoyed a quiet peaceful weekend and plan on going back next year for a longer stay

The cabin was very homey and clean, and fully equipped The fireplace was ready to burn, great to enjoy in the cooler evening. Dennis was a great host, recommending places to eat and hike, and was very friendly. It was a relaxing vacation!

This lovely cabin sits up a wooded hill in a place whimsically called Glen Hill Park. The cabin is great, tiny but perfect for two, with a covered patio with a fireplace. The Park has the small Glen Hill Chapel and the tiny Country Store, as well as a long BBQ spit for grilling many chickens. Ask, and Dennis will tell you the story! It’s an easy drive to Harrisonburg and the surrounding Shenandoah Valley.

Dennis was very timely in responding to any questions I had. Some other reviews mentioned the fact that the property is on a chicken farm as if that was a drawback; that is true, but you only drive past the coops to get to the house. We were there in August, and did not notice any farm odor once we got to the house. The house was clean and Dennis was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

This property is amazing. Nice and secluded, making it very private. The host is awesome and makes sure you have everything you need before your stay commences. I would recommend to any couple looking for a romantic weekend, and we’d love to visit again.

The little house was very clean, in the woods and just what we were looking for in a spot. The gentlemen was very nice and showed us how to get there. He answered all our questions. The only thing I regret not knowing is the view and knowledge. It’s a working farm. There are 6 chicken houses right in front of the little house and three more across the street. Though the smell wasn’t as bad as I had thought it would be when I drove up, I just felt deceived, hoodwinked. We enjoyed our trip and made the best of it. Just know it’s on a working farm with many chicken coups.

Dennis is absolutely wonderful. The property is relaxing and quiet a great place to unplug and just soak up nature. The quaint cabin is simple and clean. The bed is comfy. The water pressure in the shower is fantastic and it was the hottest shower I have ever had. We have made a friend 😃

This place is an absolutely delightful and affordable option for a weekend getaway. It is conveniently located within about a 10-minute distance from downtown Harrisonburg. The cabin itself offers a charming and cozy atmosphere, equipped with all the essential amenities. You'll find a fully-equipped kitchen with utensils, spices, as well as reliable AC/heating. The cabin also features a complete bathroom, and just outside the room, there's a covered sitting area with a lovely fireplace. Dennis, our friendly and exceptional host, went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. He thoughtfully provided firewood and lighter fluid for the fireplace, and there are plenty of comfortable chairs in the outdoor sitting area. As the cabin is situated near a farm, you may occasionally hear the soothing sounds of cow calls from your room. Additionally, Dennis has even created a small hiking trail in the vicinity, allowing you to explore the area's natural beauty. Without a doubt, we are already looking forward to returning to this remarkable place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cabin and loved having a fire in the fireplace each night and listening to the cows. The cabin was so comfortable and we slept great. Dennis is a great host and recommended the Blue Stone Inn for dinner and that was amazing. Thanks for opening your cabin to VRBO.

Had a wonderful weekend in a cute little cabin on the farm. Dennis, the owner was lovely and so accommodating of our late check in and early check out. Place has everything right there, kitchen, fridge, bathroom, heat/AC. There’s also waking trails and an awesome outdoor pavilion and fireplace. Cannot wait to come back.

This cabin is in a perfect location for truly getting away. It is tucked away on the property so you have complete privacy, but is just a short (and beautiful) drive to the many historical attractions in the area. It is the perfect size for two people with all the necessities. The outdoor fireplace and covered patio were a highlight of our stay, especially given the rainy weather. Dennis was friendly, easy to communicate with and extremely helpful in recommending local places to eat. We will probably be back in the future.

Secluded, quiet, relaxing, clean. If you need to decompress from information and sensory overload this stay is for you. Nice hearing cows, roosters and seeing wildlife as well. Dennis was a great host too. 5 stars.

Cannot say enough ģood things about this cabin! It's like stepping back in time, the ambiance is unmatchable! The cabin was spotless, the owners were highly accommodating, all amenities we needed, including coffee pods and snacks, this place is paradise to us, and will always be a very special place to us, and we will certainly be returning!! The outdoor fireplace was one of our favorite things, we spent most of our time there, PLENTY of wood was supplied for us, loved the round swing, as well as the other swing, watching the sunset from this property was DIVINE! A truly heavenly experience! Loved the small chapel and old gas station and general store. If your looking for a great PRIVATE getaway, this is 4 you!!!

Perfect weekend getaway for New Year’s Eve! The property felt very secluded and had beautiful views of the surrounding farm country. We’ll definitely be staying here the next time we’re back in town!
