The Good
Great location just a 4 min walk from the main street in Corralejo
Nice pool which Villa Plus cleaned/maintained twice during our 1 week stay.
Large, comfy lounge area leading into the pool area.
Pool table! (Really nice to have this but TBH looking a little battered)
Nice BBQ.
Good response times to email and WhatsApp messages. (10 minutes in one case!)
The Not So Good
Looking a little tired and in need of some TLC: Minor maintenance needed all round. For example;
Front gate got so hot one day it wouldn’t shut as the metal latch plates had expanded and were catching. They need re-fitting so they don't rub together by default.
Door handle in the bathroom came away on first touch. Villa Plus sent maintenance round the first working day to repair.
Bathroom door rubs against floor so is noisy and sticky. Needs trimming.
Loose lid on bidet in bathroom.
Microwave plate gear is broken so food does not rotate.
Parasol outside has a tear in the fabric on one of the arms which we had to temporary fix with a peg.
Body jets in shower not working.
AC in one bedroom not as good as the other two.
Improvements Villa Plus Could Make
A spare key would be good so a family can split up while in town and return to the villa independently.
Confusion over what can be flushed. Signs in the toilets contradict the Villa manual. VP advised not to flush anything other than human waste ;)
For self catering I thought the kitchen is not best stocked. For example;
1 chef's knife and 1 peeler. Both very blunt and no knife sharpener.
Only 2 dishwasher tablets and we needed to hand wash every day. I don't mind this except there is no draining board so items had to be left on the counter to dry or dried immediately by hand. This would be easier with a simple draining board.
No placemats and only one small cork mat to protect outside table from hot dishes
There is only a single chopping board, so needs cleaning between food types
Loose seal on oven.
Broken microwave as noted above.
A daily bin empty is requested but only 1 extra large bag provided so we had to buy large and small bags.
On the last point, this is the first place I've stayed where there is nothing left from previous customers. We left nearly full rolls of both types of bin bag for the next guests but it looks like everything left behind gets removed?

Beautiful villa. Fantastic central location, walking distance to the beach, shops, and restaurants. Great size and space. Felt secure and safe which is important with a family stay. Great to have the pool table. The swimming pool was great. Queries were answered very promptly and we were kept well informed throughout our stay.
Some of the amenities need replacing or fixing - oven door rubber seal fell off, pool balls are well worn, umbrella was broken but replaced very quickly, though it fell out of the base a number of times, coffee pot lid was broken - potential for a scolding accident. Downstairs air conditioner leaked twice. We would have liked enough bin bags and cleaning supplies to last our stay. All quite minor things that absolutely do not dampen the villa stay, but the little details matter and could be easily rectified.
