Located in Leesville, this attractive house for $335 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Sunrise Boat House (SBH) is a charming, renovated, 1960's lake-front home with numerous amenities and large water views. The updated, 1400 square foot, 3-bedroom, 2-bath home, has an inviting coastal cottage feel. The spacious lake-facing deck is a perfect spot to put your feet up, sip your coffee, watch the sunrise, and see the abundant wildlife of the area. The deck includes two chaise lounge chairs with thick, comfy cushions, two zero-gravity lounge chairs, and a hammock nearby, for you to relax and take in the lake view. At SBH, you're in store for some fun on the water, as we include four kayaks (3 singles & 1 double), two stand-up paddle boards, an 18' x 6' floating oasis pad. These water toys and numerous other smaller floats will certainly help you to enjoy lake life to the fullest! The home's new, (Fall 2023) private dock, includes a large seating/lounging area that begins at the water's edge (when lake is full). It houses 4 chairs & a coffee table as well as two lounge chairs. A rolling umbrella provides you with some extra shade wherever you'd like it! The dock also features a wide set of stairs that provide easy entry into the lake, and a dock box for storing all your favorite lake toys at arm's reach. If you bring a boat along, you won’t need to search for the nearest launch, as SBH offers a private boat launch right into the calm waters of the large cove it is situated on. The 12' x 20' floating dock has space for 2 boats to be moored on its longer sides. Security for your vehicle(s) and boat(s) is provided with two cameras that cover the driveway/parking areas at SBH. The home has central heating and air conditioning as well as ceiling fans throughout. All beds have high quality mattresses with memory foam toppers and soft, high thread count, 100% cotton sheets. Linens are washed in free & clear detergents without added fragrance. SBH is eco-friendly, using compostable trash bags, LED lighting, refillable soaps, and encouraging recycling. There are 2 full bathrooms in the home and both bathing and lake towels are provided for guest use. Showers include Hyatt Hotels Argan Oil Collection shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. A washer/dryer unit is available for any laundry needs that should arise and free and clear laundry detergent is provided. The well-equipped kitchen has all the amenities of home including a reverse osmosis drinking water system, granite countertops, new stainless steel appliances (2022), and a large selection of bakeware and ceramic coated pots & pans. For holiday meal prep, there is a large roasting pan, electric hand mixer, mixing bowls, and more. Dishes, silverware, and glassware will service 10+. Cocktail hour is also covered, as the home includes wine, beer, rocks, champagne, and martini glasses. The kitchen is open to the family room and lake view, so you can enjoy the gorgeous vistas while preparing meals; or step outside onto the deck and sear your food to perfection on the 6-burner grill. The deck also hosts two tables, each with an umbrella and seating for 4, so you can enjoy dining al fresco. If having someone else cook is more your idea of vacation, this home is a quick 5 minute boat ride to the Rusty Anchor/Catfish Johnny’s Restaurant as well as Liberty on the Lake Restaurant and Bar (and marina). Additionally, the Chapin Publix Grocery Store and Lowes Foods (6.0 miles away) will deliver pre-made deli foods and groceries to the house via Instacart. For entertainment beyond the lake, the family room has a 70” SMART TV (Roku) with Spectrum basic cable and lots of comfy seating that allows you to enjoy the tv or lake views. Each of the 3 bedrooms has a wall-mounted 32" SMART TV (Roku) as well. For additional fun, game-night awaits with a cabinet stocked full of board games, card games, and puzzles. When it’s finally time for some evening relaxation, star gazing over the lake here is incredible! A backyard fire pit and 6 Adirondack chairs are ready and waiting for you to roast marshmallows (expandable roasting sticks are in the kitchen) or enjoy your favorite beverage and swap tall tales about your fishing adventures! While we would love to say that you can truly “escape from it all” at Sunrise Boat House, we do have Spectrum Internet Ultra, Wi-Fi, and excellent cell phone coverage… but we promise not to tell anyone if you don’t!

My husband, myself and our daughter (USC Nursing Student) stayed for 4 fabulous nights. This lake house is second to none! We've rented many homes and this was by far the very best! The host is remarkable! Stephanie is so caring and thoughtful and ensured our stay was everything we hoped for. The immediate area is so quiet and peaceful. Supermarkets and restaurants are only a short drive away - but you won't want to leave once you arrive! The house itself was beyond spotless, uncluttered and had all modern equipment and technology. The TV is huge, tons of games, the beds are so comfortable, and the kitchen is very well equipped. Everything is labeled and a thorough notebook is handy to help you navigate the house and area. The section of the lake is breathtaking and the dock is incredible (my husband caught huge pike and we saw an array of beautiful birds! Many water toys are provided and we rented a Pontoon which is a must! We enjoyed our stay immensely and will definitely be back to this beautiful home!!!!

Absolutely loved our vacation to the lake house!
Probably one of the cleanest rentals we have ever been too. There’s nothing the host didn’t think of to include for the guests. We were very amazed by everything that was included with the rental. The location is perfect and the lake is just beautiful. We brought our boat and utilized the private boat ramp which I highly recommmend! The host was very attentive and kind, she cares about all her guests and easy to communicate with. We were also able to bring our pups which is a huge plus and the house was very pup friendly, they even had a toy bin that my dog helped herself to when we walked in the doors!
100% would come back to this place. Sad to leave!

We rented the sunrise boat house for the Labor Day weekend and my daughter‘s 18th birthday. The house had everything we needed, and then some. Every detail was thought of by the owners, which made our stay that much better. When we checked in we were greeted with cupcakes, balloons and flowers for my daughter, which set the tone. We loved the kayaks and the lily pad during the day and made s’mores in the evening. We were able to bring our dogs which made the weekend even better. The owners were attentive and in touch. It was a great weekend, and we will definitely rent the Sunrise Boat House again!

We were making the trip to South Carolina from Michigan to attend our son’s military graduation at Ft. Jackson. This location is about 30 minutes away from the base and was easy to get to. This lake home had everything our family needed and we really enjoyed the lake. My girls loved the paddle boarding and swimming. Stephanie was the best host we ever had - she checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and checking in was super easy. Thanks again for lending us your home.

Unbelievable lake vacation! Stephanie the host is so great to deal with and communicated every step of the way. Her home is perfect location on the lake to swim off the deck, or rent a boat. So peaceful and the neighborhood is so quiet! Would recommend to anyone looking to stay on Lake Murray and enjoy everything the lake has to offer with all the comforts of your own!

We came down to visit family that lives on lake Murray and celebrate our nephews first birthday. Amazing location with wonderful views right on the water. Owners were very helpful with the process and had the house set up so nicely for our stay. Provided a very detailed and informative house notebook and labels for everything in the house. One of our best rental experiences ever! Hopefully we have the opportunity to come again… we can’t wait!

The house is great. The area is great. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate for us to take full advantage of the lake.That being said we made the best of it with 2 awesome days in Charleston. We will definitely look to stay here in the future.

We all need a “reset” sometimes and this was ours!!! We usually drive to Florida during this week but something told us to try something different. We didn’t have far to drive and we felt at home. The house was perfect. I brought my own sheets to use, like I always do but for the first time, I didn’t even use them! I felt so confident that the sheets were clean. The linens were ALL perfectly clean and fresh. The entire house was clean and stocked with anything you would need!!!
If you are wondering if you should stay here or not, wonder no more!!! Do it!!

This place is by far the best ever! It exceeded my expectations! The Host has thought of everything you need! Communication was exceptional! Perfect for a work place as well! Very fast internet! The house could not have been any more perfect. It was clean, well organized and welcoming. The owners thought of everything you could possibly need while away from home and made sure the house has it. The view is breathtaking and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend.

Super clean which is important to me, beautiful views, best area of Lake Murray and hosts have thought of everything. Enough nice matching dishes to not have to run dishwasher after every meal, pots, pans and utensils so you can make whatever dish you want. Furniture is new and decorating is beautiful. We’ve stayed here before and will return again which is something we don’t usually do as we like to try out different places but this place truly feels like home.

My husband and I travel frequently, and we cannot express how impressed we were with this vacation home! It literally is the best place we have ever rented! The owners have thought of everything to make the stay easy and relaxing for guests, from having the most comfortable mattresses, a variety of pillow types, bedside lamps with outlets and charging ports, to having almost every type of dish and/or cookware that one could possibly need for cooking meals!
And did we mention the view?!! The lake view from this home is remarkably beautiful! The pictures truly don’t do it justice. To top it off, all the living room furniture is very comfortable, and the home is spotlessly clean! We can’t wait to come back and visit again!

This stay is everything you want from a VRBO. The lake is beautiful. The place is well supplied, even water toys. Clean. They even had an hdmi cable to hook the computer to the TV. The water was warm enough to get in, even in October. We loved kayaking and playing with the other water toys. It is about 45 mins to the national park and 30 mins to downtown/zoo/museums. Still close enough for delivery from restaurants and the grocery.. Practically perfect and felt like a home away from home. The owner was extremely reaponsive. We loved watching the views and ducks, turtles ans birds. Lately, it feels like every owner wants a 5 star review, but this one actually deserves 5 star review.

Looking for a place for a four day weekend. (Birthday weekend at that!!) So, we read the reviews and liked the location - and we booked this rental. SO GLAD WE DID! All the amenities were exact to Description. New appliances, comfortable beds, very clean house, relaxing to sit out on the deck, the furniture was comfortable to relax on and we loved the location. Very easy access in & out of the driveway with boat & trailer. It was super easy to contact/text the owner with any questions we might have had. SUPER WONDERFUL OWNERS!!! Even went as far to leave a B-day card and candy to welcome our family. My family and I will definitely be renting again!!!!
On that note…. we came home, unpacked, and scheduled again in 4weeks time. Can’t wait!!!!

This is a gem located in a particularly beautiful inlet on Lake Murray. The hosts were super nice and accommodating and the property and house were very clean as well. There were kayaks provided as well as a dock and pier for fishing access. Extremely luxurious in summary, would love to return sometime! Highly recommend for anyone including families.

We had an incredible time at the lake house. Being able to go from the house to the dock and step on the boat was just what we wanted. The Cove was perfect for swimming, fishing and watching all the nature animals with a cup of coffee in the morning. We will be back...soon!

Fun Family Vacation
We took our 6 and 8 year old grandchildren for a long weekend. They enjoyed the kayaks and board games. Beautiful view especially at sunset. Close enough to Columbia that we went to a football game. Mary Alice is a wonderful host. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at this exceptional lake house! The home is spotless and comfortable, the kitchen very well equipped with everything needed for cooking in. The views of the lake are wonderful and it’s in a very quiet, peaceful location (while also close to grocery stores, restaurants or marinas). We especially enjoyed the deck, dock, very comfortable king bed and the like-new gas grill on the deck. Mary Alice is a complete pleasure to communicate with and was very quick to answer any questions we had! We definitely hope to return soon!

We are looking to move to South Carolina and Lake Murray is at the top of our list as we immediately fell in love with it from the time we entered the home we were amazed with the hospitality from the personalized welcome sign to the owners providing all the necessities we needed. The house was absolutely perfect for the number of people we had and the personal boat ramp was a big bonus! We are already discussing returning next year during the same time of year. We would absolutely recommend this home and location to anyone. Thank you again for the wonderful hospitality.
