This is a wonderful home with a deep history. We enjoyed the large rooms and convenience off Hwy 68. The hosts were so kind and welcoming especially the mascot, Tuffy!!
We would have liked to have an upholstered chair in our room to sit in for reading.

The building and furnishings were very nice. The room was very large and well appointed. We had a nice view of a tree right outside our window.
When we arrived, we immediately noticed half-eaten plates of food and left over drinks all around the common area. It appeared as though a party had happened and nobody cleaned up afterwards. Apparently, the same party returned at 2 am and made a lot of noise. This is a self-serve property. You check yourself in, there is nobody on site to clean up messes or keep guests from partying at 2 am. I texted the management and sent photos of the mess but never heard back. My partner texted at 2am and someone did come to quiet the partiers. I was expecting a much more serene and pleasant experience.
UPDATE: Since writing this post, the property has gotten back to me and has led me to feel that they understand very well that what I experienced was not up to their own standard and they are looking at ways to make sure something like that would not happen again. Very glad to have heard back from them about this!
