About this cottage rental

Located in Michiana, this attractive cottage for $525 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Come stay in our restful vacation cottage in a quiet, forested neighborhood, ¾ of a mile from Lake Michigan beaches. This tranquil getaway is just an hour drive from downtown Chicago and has parking in front for up to 5 vehicles. The home sleeps a total of 8 people, and your kids and good dogs are welcome here! There are 2 queen bedrooms and 2 twin bedrooms. The bedrooms have built-in shelves and closets for your belongings. The living room has a lovely sofa that pulls out into a queen bed. Sliding glass doors off the kitchen lead into a beautiful sun room enclosed by floor to ceiling windows, featuring an ultra-comfy full-size pull-out futon and its own entrance heading out to the patio. There is fabulous natural light, with windows and skylights throughout the house. Entering the home, there is a large great room with a stone fireplace and vaulted pine ceilings, with 2 spacious seating areas, including a 65” Smart TV + high-speed internet throughout the property. The home features an inviting open concept kitchen and dining table to seat 6. We offer coffee and teas, and include basics for cooking such as salt, pepper, spices, and oil. You are free to use the washer/dryer during your stay; detergent and bleach are provided. The yard includes a limestone patio, a built-in fire pit, lots of Adirondack chairs for lounging, and a large outdoor dining table that seats 10. There is a gas grill + utensils for your summer cookouts. Guests are welcome to use a variety of lawn games and beach chairs. The nearest public beach access is at the end of Michiana Drive at Stop 37, or at Stop 38, which is at the end of Powhatan Trail, off of Michiana Drive. Lovely location, close to beach. The house is darling inside & out. We were very comfortable for 4 nights and our pup loved it too. Easy communication with Alannah & Nick.

Very cute house. They've done a lot with a little space, to the point that it feels much bigger than it is. Open floor plan, lots of windows. Very comfortable!

Very nice cottage and yard is beautiful. Perfectly slept 6 girlfriends on a getaway. Walk to beach is long but walkable, but if you have a golf cart that's the way to go! Loved the property and the owners were very helpful and friendly. Great getaway!

We had a small family re-union at the wonderful house. House is cute as can be inside, nice comfortable furniture, nicely decorated. We had 2 couples staying at the house. Very clean and well taken care of property!

The cottage is nestled in wooded area. It is quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The accommodations are new but quaint. We had a mother/daughter/niece weekend, and the cottage offered communal areas for sharing time but also allowed for privacy. Our two dogs loved the grassy area and fire pit near the outdoor furniture. We had a lovely weekend, and the cottage definitely was one of the highlights for our trip.

This was a great vacation home which was very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The yard is private, the location is perfect for walking to the beach or driving to New Buffalo. We had a great time! Jen

Absolutely loved this cottage! It’s tucked away in a quiet, wooded neighborhood. Enjoyed a fire both nights in the beautiful stone fireplace. Relaxed by the fire pit with s’mores. Short drive to cute town, New Buffalo, MI. So happy owner allows small dogs. Definitely stay here again!

Had a great time, enjoying the local towns, Lake Michigan, and this incredible property with my husband and our two pups. Saw a ton of wildlife in our walks to the lake and left feeling rejuvenated. Highly recommend!

Perfect for our family of 5! Nice yard, nice house, and very accommodating hostess. About 1/2 - 3/4 mile walk to the beach, but we enjoyed the stroll through the neighborhood- lots of cool homes to check out. The wagon to load all of our beach gear in was a great perk!! We’ll definitely be back!!

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful house. The house was very well appointed, perfectly organized, and immaculate. We had plenty of room to spread out and all the furnishings were stylish and comfortable. We loved the use of the fire pit and lawn games. The location is close to the beaches and the owner is very responsive (though we didn’t have any problems). The neighborhood was very quiet and people were friendly. Overall, a fabulous stay.
