Our room was very clean with a lovely view towards the sea. We really enjoyed the Moonshine Bar where the food and drink was spot on and we enjoyed watching the sea and walking on the shore. There are hammocks and a few loungers available also. The main building is comfortable and nicely set out. it was super quiet when we were there which was lovely, the only downside being the bar and food service stopped at 6.30m which is very early.

My wife and I saw this hotel on HGTV beachfront bargain hunt Caribbean. We flew there from N.J. via Nassau Bahamas. Then we flew to the Stella Maris Hotel located on Long Island in the Bahamas east of Florida the beaches run from the north to south. Like most of these remote islands, the roads are in typical island condition, ie. pot holes and unpaved roads. There are rocky beaches and choppy seas on the east side, the west side are white fine sand stretches with towering palms. The water is calm and you walk a considerable distance in shallow water. There are lots of spots for beach combing. Stella Maris Hotel near the northern part of the island. The hotel has a nice bar and dining room and the staff are VERY friendly and accommodating. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. Have fun!
