Spent only one night at this hotel and in terms of positioning in relation to shops, it’s perfect. We took two rooms, one for our two kids and one for us. In terms of the room and bathroom, they aren’t in our opinion befitting of a 5 star hotel. Old, smell of people having previously smoked in them but most importantly, the two rooms we stayed in did not have any USB ports in the room. We called reception to ask if it’s possible and they said no so they sent someone up to show us where they were but she also recognised that they have no USB ports so it was very difficult to charge our devices. At a minimum in this day and age I believe that 5 star hotels should have UB ports next to the bed for device charging or at the very least somewhere in the room.

The hotel is professional. Check in and out was easy and fast.
The room is clean and tidy. But i didnt get the king or queen bed, so the sleep wasnt comfortable because we had to move 2 beds close.
Spa, gym, relaxation room and a pool are available.
The concierge are top notch.
Lication is fantastic.

Exceptionally well located hotel within the Osaka Namba station. Easy access to high end shopping in the same building, as well as important train lines there. Non-stop train from Kansai airport as well. The rooms were relatively spacious. Easy walking distance to the famous Fish Market. Decent service from the front desk staff. Definitely would book again.

The bathroom in our suite needed refurbishing. Stepping into a bath to take a shower is very old fashioned. We need a wet room instead. Some USB ports would be a useful addition to the room although the concierge provided us with adapters.
Breakfast was excellent. The views towards Shinsaibashi from our room were tremendous.
The location, above Namba station is very central and transit around the city was easy.
It didn’t match my experience at Swissotel Tallinn which is a lot more modern, but on balance it was good enough.

Hotel is good location by train direct from airport. Also come with onsen service within the hotel but for some reason, my booking was not entitled and friend booked elsewhere with the same type of room entitled. Overall service from hotel is good

We last minute booked this hotel and walked from the Namba Oriental Hotel (highly do not recommend) and are so happy that we did because this hotel was perfection! Nothing negative to report. All staff were very accommodating and friendly. The hotel is ideally located within a transit station for quick access to shopping, food, transit, whatever you may want. Ideal location in regards to placement in Osaka as well. Beds and room was clean and comfortable. The view was beautiful from our room. Room service food was good when we chose to order in. The hotel has several restaurants on the 10th floor to dine in. They offer an extensive list of service options via a QR code within the hotel room. Everything was great.

The location is awesome. Easy access to the train and bus systems. Very close to lots of shopping and Dotonbori. The staff were super helpful and the amenities were good.

The property is aging and for a five star hotel I found the carpet in my room to be old and spotted, also the bathroom lacked in quality, very clunky outdated shower head and low ceiling.

Swissotel Nankai Osaka may very well be the nicest hotel my wife and I have ever stayed at. The staff were all incredible from arrival to leaving and the rooms were immaculate! The location of the hotel is fantastic with Dotonbori and its famous food just a short walk away as well as the train station being right below the hotel for easy access. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Osaka

The hotel is very old, worn off situation of interior decoration could be seen everywhere including the fixtures in the cafe of main lobby. The room was pretty dusty and sanitary stuffs not refilled daily during our 3 nights stay. The staff's services were not as good as before. The check in counter staff was not familiar with the benefits offered to hotel guests (e.g She insisted 'Hello Kitty card' is no longer offered to guest without checking with Manager until the guest strongly requested). Except for the convienent location, it is absolutely not worth the money.

The hotel was great and would work if you are traveling alone. However we booked our rooms for 3 people in each room. (3 adults and 3 kids total). Our kids are teenagers which we stated at booking. They expected all 3 people to sleep in the same bed! Acted put out that I wanted a rollaway bed. And then charged me 10000 yen ($75) per bed per room per night!! That adds up fast. And then didn’t even deliver the beds until almost 11pm. Felt like a trick!!! Beware!!

A hotel of choice if you want convenient, but no wow factor

Hotel location in Namba cannot be beat. Super convenient. Hotel is not new but well maintained. Housekeeping was excellent and the rooms were kept very clean throughout our stay. We slept well and I liked the smaller pillows provided compared to the huge pillows that major hotels tend to offer.
One complaint would be surprisingly thin walls and ceilings as we could hear loud guests around and above us late into the nights. Luckily, we were so tired when we returned to the hotel each night that it didn’t bother us overly.
When we left, we were laden with luggage. We didn’t ask for porter assistance as we could still manage. Nevertheless, it was a disappointment that no staff offered to help even when they saw us at the lobby as we checked out and waited for airport pickup.

Stayed 2 nights with breakfast. Breakfast was superb with both Japanese and Western options. The view and spacious dining area was much appreciated.
Single room was very spacious. While others have commented that the orange wood furniture looked dated, they are still in very well-kept condition.
Probably because it was an international hotel, the concierge told us that the hotel did not have a microwave for guests to use. We realised that when we wanted to eat frozen dumplings from the nearby Horai 551.
Location is very convenient and connected to the mall. Many other shopping malls nearby.

Lovely stay. Great service. Comfortable.
Only issues are that reading light over the writing desk is connected to room lights so can't switch on reading light without switching on room lights. Also king bed was pushed to the wall on one side. Made it difficult to get out of bed on one side.
Also security not that great as lift is common to outsiders using hotel facilities. Noticed you can press any guest room floors without card as long as a guest has used the card and you quickly press another floor and it is activated. Perhaps cards can be programmed to be floor specific.
