A power outage forced me to choose a hotel for the evening. The price was competitive and the reservation process when well. The staff and surroundings took the edge out of being not being able to stay at my home.

Our first stay (same suite type) was in 2019 as we hosted a small kid's bday party and things were fine. I can't speak to what has transpired at the property since then (well, COVID!). The room rate then was approx. $190.00(??) and approx. $378.00 for our 12/27/23 visit. The room rates are shared only for context, not as part of our dissatisfaction, per se'. Here was our experience:
The location is awesome, the grounds are maintained and the property, as a whole, is charming. Unfortunately, we rated our room experience as a "2" out of 5.
Room #401 is a 1BR 1 1/2 BA suite w/ a terrace overlooking the golf course. It's the closest room to the bank of elevators is not near the ice machine. There's a noise issue that will disturb any light sleeper (me!) and I overheard a mom shush her child to be quiet while in the common area. I *heard* her say SHUSH... You hear all noise emanating from the hallway. I'd forgotten about this from our previous stay.
The Room ~ to our dismay, the DR table was removed. ~ We wanted to have a light dinner (carry out yummies) but there wasn't a microwave so we couldn't reheat (one is on the 1st flr.). We were told they're a fire hazard.
The space wasn't as clean as anticipated either. I'm a Hilton Honors member and expect more from the brand. I've never experienced such poor conditions at a Hilton property. I typically don't complain, but I made a point to stay at a Hilton property after Christmas before traveling out of the country. DISSAPOINTED.

We were able to receive an early check in and the noon check out is helpful. The pool was warm, some p aint peeling off the bottom of the pool and one light was broken and hanging in the water.

The room was not comfortable. We had a horrible nights sleep. The pillows were awful, you could hear every noise in the hallway. For the price they charge I was not impressed at all with the hotel.

Elevators were not operating; bathroom floor and carpet dirty in room; ordered vegan burger and asked to hold aioli - but they made my vegan burger a vegetarian burger and had to toss it.

Everything about the facility and staff were top tier.
Golf course view during fall color was excellent.
Close proximity to fine dining and shopping.
Wasn't a big fan of the drone hovering outside my 5th floor window.Reported it to staff. Hope some honeymooner

Only one working elevator out of 3, took forever to get to and from room. Used stairs but they did not seem safe due to location and seclusion. Welcomed into building by cigarette and pot smokers outside the doors. Super loud in lobby. Room right next to loud and broken ice machine.

Our stay here was great! Loved the room, our view of the golf course was beautiful! Enjoyed having a Starbucks on site! The elevators had a bit of an issue, but we made sure we never took the middle one. There are some things that could have some attention, such as our rooms floor had a floor piece that was loose and noisy. Do some paint updates and carpet cleaning. But all in all a great stay.

It’s such a ashame that they don’t do maintenance in this beautiful hotel. It’s been 3-4 years they are just letting goin to hell. The light bulb are burnt out, the inside n outdoor pool are filthy. The elevator haven’t worked properly for our last 3 stays in the last six months. The front desk manager claims they just don’t work today. Hmmmmm no responsibility no shame so so sad I used love this hotel when it was taken care of

Was my first stay and selected the hotel both to avoid Chicago hotels prices and because had a golf course. Ended to be an absolutely amazing experience and pleasant surprise! Everything from the hotel amenities, the service and the delicious food that you just don’t find in hotels restaurants, exceeded my expectations.
Parking for free with lots of places. The room was great, plenty of space. with a gorgeous view over the golf course and very clean and nicely decorated. I had a king on 5th level and only paid $160 per night. Beat that Chicago city!
The area the hotel is in is upscaled with lots of restaurants of really good quality, and very close to hotel. The shopping center in Oak Brook is top notch, very elegant and plenty of choices. I just enjoyed going in a couple store but the grounds and lunch choices were amazingly nice.
And last but not least the golf course. Before arriving I read the reviews and wish I read them before booking. Wrong! It’s a great golf course and extremely well maintained. On top of all $80 for a golf round, unbelievable.
I do want to end thanking the staff for going above and beyond on everything- welcoming, friendly, helpful and trying very hard to make the staying memorable!
I was delighted and will go back again for a long weekend very soon! How did I not know about this place before?
To those who read the complaints on rooms not being cleaned daily- true. But you can ask for it. For me was wonderful sleeping in a quiet hotel.

No microwave in room. Stay said they were told not to put one in my room!! Neighbour were in and out all night long. Loud!! Fighting!! And front desk sent security to my room!! No kleneex. Lied to about breakfast!! They tacked on a $150 deposit that I was unaware of!!

We arrived @ the hotel @ 4:30-4:45. We were told by the front desk that our room was NOT ready. It was being cleaned. We were very unhappy, since we were told check-in was @ 4:00, & I am disabled.
We were meeting friends, & were delayed. We left the hotel as they told is the would call us when the room was ready. We received a call @ 5:25 to tell us our room was finally available. Our group had a total of 6 rooms, & all of theirs were ready, (& one was able to get in early), but ours was not! There was no offer of an apology or any compensation! We were not looking for that, however, something could have been offered, even if it were a late checkout or something! Not a good business practice when people are paying for a "resort" hotel.

Our stay was a very relaxing day at the pool. The pool is lovely with the exception of the towels. The towels were very old and worn. The water temp was perfect, the food at the pool was tasteful, the service was friendly and good.
Our room was clean with comfortable bedding. The two of us enjoyed our stay and hope to be back.

The property was okay but not worth the price in my opinion. We couldn’t get breakfast room service for whatever reason. The whole property has 6 luggage carts which was definitely not enough. It was a terrible first impression having no assistance getting luggage to our room.
