This is heartbreaking to write because we’ve stayed here since I was 14, and I’m 40 now. But this was truly awful. The place has gone downhill quickly. 1. We had cockroaches in our room. 2. Their social media post said all rooms have been renovated, but that’s clearly not true. We had an old room that had actual in the curtains and no lock on the patio door. 3. The resort was severely understaffed. There are two options to eat outside: the poolside cafe, and the turtle bar. All week, their wasn’t a cashier available to operate the poolside cafe, so you couldn’t order food or drinks there. Instead, everyone had to order anything from the bar on the other side of the pool, which had only two bartenders. If you ordered food, you then had to walk back over to the cafe to pick it up. The lines were insanely long. I waited in line for FORTY MINUTES to order a Coke. Also, the bar routinely opened late, but as much as 30 minutes. 4. They are now letting anyone who pays $25 to park there use the pool and private beach, which meant it was overcrowded and overrun with the public. Why are you letting in non-guests when you’re not even staffed adequately and it’s your busiest time of year? 5. I wrote to the hotel via email on the second day of our stay with my concerns. No one ever responded or acknowledged my complaints. Again, we’ve been going there for 26 years. Seriously?! We will not be coming back again. It’s a shame.

Ground floor for single woman. Trash outside my terrace. Peeling wallpaper. Mold in bathroom. Gap on bottom of door lighting up the room. Giant roach. View is maintenance lot with construction equip. Right next to wedding tent had to listen to gangster rap when trying to rest. Cleaning crew would put lock in door instead of propping open - letting door slam at least 20 times PER ROOM. Went there to recover from surgery. Did not get a single nights sleep. 2600.00 + for 4 days.

Room with a balcony over looking an enormous generator the size of a block. They should never charge the price they do for that type of view. Terrible

Beautiful hotel - disappointed them at the fitness center was closed for our entire trip Also the cleaning person did an excellent job but forgot little things like restocking the hand soap and TP Overall nice place - excellent buffet breakfast

When I hooked it showed 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa but it was a rollaway bed. Very tight fit

This hotel was in a prime location for sure, with the beautiful beach stretching right behind the property. The room I stayed was fully renovated and I loved the automatic light in the closet. One problem I had was the noise level in my room. I heard the next door neighbors’ coughing and hair blow dry so clearly I got nervous for a second thinking they were in my room! There was also a big party going on somewhere outside well after midnight and so I had trouble falling asleep. Other than that the whole stay was nice.

Property is under construction so this will be newly remodeled. I love that it is quiet and not overcrowded. The views are beautiful and the perfect place to go for peace and calm.

Renovations meant no relaxation. Despite being advised I didn’t appreciate there would be noise all around the hotel and hammering next door from 7am plus crane operations outside the window

weather was nice love that this time of the year not crowded at the hotel.very happy this hotel is doing renovation it need it but I hope prices won't go up to much I just love this hotel the convenience of the pool and the beach so nice wish pool was bigger.

Renovations in progress, so there was construction noise from 7am - midnight, but the renewed rooms are great and the property could use a refresh. Love this location - best beach in the area in my opinion.

Beautiful location, that’s for sure. Nice pool, walk to the beach is a little longer but still - the beach is nice and the water is just perfect When we arrived we got the room with a wall and AC units views. We were told “because you booked through Expedia”. There’s a construction work going on and they start at 6:30am. I said I didn’t know and heard again “because you booked through Expedia” . We were able to change the room for a more quiet room. To be honest I don’t know why this hotel is 4⭐️, probably because of 2 restaurants and some shops at the property. Rooms are much smaller than you would expect,the shower room is much smaller than avarage powder room. Are we going to stay here again? I don’t know, the beach is just perfect

The staff is very pleasant and helpful! We stayed in this property after we were evacuated from a different property during Hurricane Idalia the week before for our honeymoon. We booked through a third-party provider. When we checked in, the room we were given had a view of the tennis courts which were under renovation and filled with construction materials. When we voiced our displeasure to Danielle she apologized and immediately took us to tour 3 different rooms to better our view. She also had a bottle of champagne delivered to our room and gave us a complimentary breakfast. The breakfast buffet was a little pricey, but the food was good. Although we enjoyed our stay, we were disappointed that the gym was also under renovation and the beach was off limits due to standing water from Idalia. Opt for a pool view on the higher floors for a balcony with tables and chairs. Make sure the bed is a true Queen- I think we were stuck with a double and it was pretty small (and short). We would be willing to stay again.

If you want to be bitten all over your body, you can stay at this hotel with confidence. The lady at the front desk said she would have the agency check the room and email me a report but it's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard anything from the hotel.

loved that property is on Gulf. Building showing its age, they are remodeling. Wish Travelocity had that on their site. Only problem with room was unable to lock balcony door. Busted.

It’s a beautiful and quiet resort with everything you need to have a beautiful time in the pool (on the smaller side) or the beach!! Let’s face it, we’re here for the beach and it’s spectacular!! The hotel is the perfect location to enjoy it all!

The hotel is very clean and staff were all very friendly. The location and scenery is great with amazing sunsets. The rooms are in need of some upgrades and modernization. Was disappointed with microwaves in common area and not available in room. Construction debris was left on balcony of my room for the entire week. Experienced some ants in room so kept food in refrigerator.
