Wonderful weekend. We stayed for the PGA tournament. It’s a very nice place to stay with easy access to the tournament. Very enjoyable facilities, excellent restaurants and good service around.

The PGA is a lovely hotel but the service was awful. I waited two hours for a lunch that was never delivered. They have all the right offerings but not enough staff to support the guests.

Room was ok. Not having a nite lite of some description in the rooms is extremely dangerous. During our stay my wife cut herself twice on the large glass shower door in the bathroom when using the restrooms on 2 consecutive nights. The food quality and presentation in Honneybelle was very poor. We actually left and ended up not finishing our breakfast that we were looking forward to. After that experience we cancelled our reservation at the steakhouse in anticipation of a potentially similar issue. During our stay the fire alarm triggered twice prompting anxiety and two trips to the lobby, one of which was an alarm at 7am on New Years morning. Upon checkout there were several items on our bill that were not for our room. We are waiting to receive a refund for those items. Overall the experience was average and we won’t be returning to the property. We have stayed at many many 5 star resorts worldwide and were not expecting this type of experience.

We stayed here for my daughter to play the US Kids Holiday Classic. It was a great experience. I only make the sugestion that they should have better food at Birdies, the rest of our stay was great.

We had a terrible experience and front desk operator did not show any kind of empathy nor discounted the night. When you spend 500$ per night you don’t want ugly bugs flying on your bed while you are sleeping. We are understand these kind of bugs are very common in Florida but you can easily avoid them with pest control.

The staff was welcoming and friendly. The spa was fantastic. The dining experience at the butcher block was outstanding. This was our anniversary and we both were pleasantly surprised with the changes that we found over the last three years since our last stay. We hope to repeated again next year.

Staff need customer experience training. They are rude and do not place the customer first. This is the 2nd time I have stayed. I was hoping the first time was just a rare occurrence. Nope, it is part of their culture. The staff working at the restaurant downstairs was the same way. Lazy with no customer service experience. Be aware they will charge you an automatic gratuity to your bill. They added extra charges to the account and when asked they could explain what the extra charges were for upon arrival. Fire alarm went off over the weekend at midnight and had to evacuate the hotel. No explanation, no apologies. On a positive note it was quiet (other than the fire alarm issue), room was clean.

There were what looked like roaches and little beetles all over the master bedroom. They were all over the bed and ceilings. We were lucky to have 2 double beds because we decided not to even use the master bedroom. The screen door was another issue. It was broken and would not move on the track.

Check in was slow. The only check in person was talking for at least 10 minutes to someone about their daughter visiting them while there was a line to check in. Finally someone else came. Overnight I find out I was charged another incidental fee and another resort fee despite prepaying both and being there for less than 12 hours. I was charged the additional fees 48 minutes before check out and we’d been gone since 7 am. We only planned for one night so there was no reason to charge us again. Trying to get your money back is impossible and no one seems to know or care what happened. I’ve had to nag accounting for 3 days to get someone to tell me they’ll call me back. They were supposed to call back Monday. Don’t stay here. It’s a pretty hotel but the service is terrible and no one seems to know how to give your money back but they sure know how to take it. Even when they don’t know why they did it

We had a wonderful stay overall at the PGA National Resort. The only issue we had in our cottage was that there were ants in the bathrooms as well as some small spiders in the unit. Better pest control is needed.
