The room was very clean and fresh. It was roomy with a desk and chair by the window for relaxing and reading. What I liked about the placement of the chair is it wasn't in front of the heating unit like it is in so many hotel rooms. The only issue was the bathroom could have been a little bigger although it was clean and did include a towel rack for hand towels which is rare in many of the hotels, I have stayed in.

When we arrived our room was stifling, the thermostat did not provide the actual temp but it was likely around 73-74. We turned down the thermostat and 30 min later it had not gotten better. Called the front desk and they said they were in “winter” mode still and could not turn off the heat. They said other guests had been opening the window, which could be cracked with no screen, and that they could bring a fan. Absolutely bootleg.

I checked in on the later side and I had to be up v early for a work meeting. I’ve stayed at this hotel many times before and have been satisfied. The bed was so soft and like a hammock. Huge dip in the middle. My back was so sore in the middle of the night I pulled the mattress cover and duvet off the bed and slept on the floor. A McDonald’s French fry bag fell out of the mattress cover (not mine!). I like this hotel and have found the staff v responsive in the past. I informed the receptionist the next day about the bed situation and she said “I’ll let the housekeeping manager know”. That was it. No apology or attempt to make things better. I prob should have let them know immediately but didn’t realize how bad the bed was until too late and I needed to be up early. Plus the French fry bag ?????….

This should have been a rave review. The hotel is very nice with an excellent restaurant. But some things should be noted. The outside of the building was a bit littered. The front desk was a mess. The desk attendants were friendly but a bit harried, and answering the phone from our room took a bit too long. The ice machine on our floor was out of order during our entire stay. Worse, after a long day out of the hotel we returned at 6 pm to find that our room had not been made up. Front desk’s excuse was they must have been short staffed. Wrong answer! Housekeeping finally brought up new towels and took out the trash but had to be called back to remove the dirty towels! None of the above was enough to ruin our stay, but these flaws made the difference between great and just average.

I always do booking through Expedia this time also I didi the same when I went to the check In staff ask me to to pay first which is so embarrassing. I check my transactions it says already paid but the staff said I can’t see here you paid you need to pay fist. Then again I paid with other card and I hope I won’t do booking through Expedia next time thanks

They never cleaned my room and when I returned at 5:30 pm could not clean it because the cleaning crews left at 4 pm. I then asked for 2 each of coffee, creamer and artificial sweetener for the next morning and someone came to the room and gave me a bag with at least a dozen of each but with about 50 packets of sugar and no artificial sweetener. Then the cleaning crew knocked on my door at 7:30 the next morning and woke me up.

Hotel location is a short (walking) distance from Northlight Playhouse in Skokie. It’s a perfect location for us. Jamesons for dinner after the theatre was also excellent! We’ll be back!

The pool was very small, which was my son’s only complaint. We loved the fitness center and great location next to old Orchard mall. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The room was so warm and there was nothing we could do. We slept horrible for 2 nights. The music from a wedding echo'd all the way upstairs but silent in the room. Nothing wrong with a great wedding if its quite in the room.

Stayed here a few years ago for a funeral and was really impressed with the place. This most recent trip was a big letdown. Firstly, our room had no toilet paper. Secondly, our AC unit was not working - only the fan. We were told by a rude engineer "we turn off all AC units in the fall, so we'll get you a $10 Walmart fan" and that's what they did. LOL, what? The front desk was mostly very nice, but an overall bad and hot experience. Won't be back.

For 3days they didn’t take the trash out or make the beds had to complain to front desk and then they took care of it. You pay all that money for hotel room to complain.

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights for wedding my husband and myself . We are from Canada but unfortunately the hotel wasn’t what I expected because i had to pay for the wifi usage which was weird because i have stayed at many hotel all over the world never charge and also the bottle water were for $5 unbelievable to buy $5 where i can buy somewhere else for less . The never clean the room and change the towel unless we have to notify them a head if time where i have stay in so many hotels they usually clean the room and have new towels to be honest I was disappointed. Only thing that the staff were friendly

I stayed in this hotel several times because of proximity to my location, comfortable rooms, reasonable nightly rates and free parking. The room I stayed in this time appears to be among the older rooms, not renovated in a while. Despite that, the bed and pillows were great and the air conditioning/heating worked smoothly maintaining a pleasant temperature. For several years now many hotels, including this one, did not offer regular daily room housekeeping service. Apparently it recently restarted. The housekeeper forgot to refill the coffee service but the front desk immediately sent some coffee upstairs when I called. Overall I will likely continue to stay there.

The first room we were given was the handicap accessible one because we can’t manage a tub. It was terrible very dark limited lighting and no lights in the hall or the closet in the hall. The rod for the hangers was in a dark corner and the rod was 3 ft from the floor. Convenient location, easy parking. A shining light was David who worked with engineering. Stellar employee.
