I’ve stayed at the JW Marriott Palm Desert multiple times, and overall it continues to be a fun and enjoyable experience. The property is beautiful, the grounds are well maintained, and the staff throughout the resort were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful.
That said, the pool area was a bit underwhelming during this visit. There were four plastic cups sitting on the ground near the edge of the pool directly in front of me. Several staff members walked by them multiple times without addressing the issue. The cups were eventually removed, but only after I brought it to someone’s attention. At a resort of this caliber, I’d expect a bit more attentiveness in maintaining the pool area throughout the day.
Despite that, the service from the team was excellent overall, and we still had a great time. The JW Marriott remains one of our favorite desert getaways, and we look forward to returning.

Everything was great but the room was not as clean as a five star hotel. There was dust and dirt by the main door.
