Please be aware that even though Hotels.com shows that there IS a daily service charge, it shows that it’s included in what you pay Hotels.com
BUT, 70 Park Avenue charged us an additional “service fee” of $86 for 3 nights for “the weight room and amenities”.
We never used the weight room and what amenities??? The boxed water that my wife and I each got one of?
Just be aware that you’ll be charged extra from what you’re told and there’s nothing you can do to get out of it.

It was good, it could’ve been great if they had coffee in the room

Great location, staff was excellent, but hotel need improvements. For example room key system does not work, you have to reprogram keys two or three times every day. Also no dining facilities, nor even vending machines to buy food.

The room was fine for the weekend. Pretty quiet building. Very small bathroom but functional. No coffee maker in the room which was a bummer. Also was supposed to get a bottle of wine for booking this room and did not receive one.

Great doorman, clean lobby, room was small but clean. I stayed for one night and it was comfortable.

Decent sized room for Manhattan, close to Grand Central and relatively quiet area on Park Ave. However, staff is not well trained. Had to go to the desk on four different occasions to extend my reservation one night. Was told each time that it had been completed but that was always a lie. No internal communication as I had to speak to 4 different sets of people, all unaware of my request. Was also quoted 3 different room rates (higher each time) and given shoddy justifications for this. Wifi was shut down for an entire day and a half - unacceptable when you are in Midtown and serving business clientele. A plethora of options in the area that provide much better customer service.

Friendly, competent staff at door, lobby and front desk. Great location. Clean and well-lit. Safe curbside Lyft Uber taxi pickup directly in front of hotel. Easy access to subway lines, Grand Central.

My stay ended before it even began. During the check-in process, the hotel ran my card for incidentals and the deposit amount was successfully authorized from my account and also reflected on my banking app ledger. The transaction did not populate to hotel’s system and the manager said he didn’t care about what I saw and the only thing he cared about was me providing a different card. The conversation became heated and as I walked away stating that it seemed to me that laziness that was the issue more than anything else, his response was, “You can get the f*ck out of my hotel you f*cking fa*got.”
I don’t think I need to say much else.

I love this hotel. The look and feel of it.
The rooms have all been extremely comfortable. And the location is terrific. Easy to walk to family, for shopping etc. but “away from the maddening crowds”!
I am an ex-New Yorker ( born and raised there). I married and moved to Washington DC, then to Michigan but continue to visit my brother who lives 2 blocks away from the hotel. Whether for work or family, this is the hotel I most prefer. Margo Judge

Overall the hotel was nice, in a good area. The staff was courteous and helpful.
The hotel showed some signs of age, tub shower needs an upgrade as it was dangerous stepping over tub side and there were no grab bars. The doors slamming from neighbors was also a bit loud.

Really enjoyed our stay. Great property and excellent service from the staff. They couldn't do enough to help. Room was big and well-equipped. Bathroom tiles could do with a little attention but did not detract from the stay.

I would absolutely try and stay at this hotel chain again.

Great location, walking distance to Times Square and Rockefeller Plaza. Clean rooms with bathrobes and umbrellas, useful for the rainy day. Environmentally conscious with recyclable water boxes that can be refilled in gym or anywhere. Would stay here again on future visits to New York.

Nice, smaller property. Very convenient to Grand Central. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was decent. The bathroom was very ! small but workable.

A great location, fantastic staff, wished there was a coffee maker or coffee on site!

This hotel is an excellent option if you are visiting NYC. It’s well located, very comfortable with excellent wifi and a fabulous fitness center.
This location doesn’t have any dining, but the neighborhood has plenty of great options. I highly recommend the rooftop bar at The Kitano across the street if you’re looking for small bites and a quality cocktail.

It was very good. But we had some bites of bed bugs. We realize that only at the end of our stay. And we have seen a insect on the floor in the last day. I don t know which one because it has hidden under the bed. I think that the room could more clean. The others things were very good.

Beware of the toilet in 1105 you have no room.

The hotel has a very nice lobby and the rooms are relatively bigger that what is commonly seen in NYC.
What I liked the most is the staff friendliness and hospitality. I thank them for how nice and welcoming they are. We plan on staying at this hotel in the future.

The hotel was nice and clean. Zero amenities. I'm sure at one time this was a very nice hotel.

the location and conditions are pretty good. people at the front desk and service are friendly and helpful. We are happy during our 5 days stay. The only annoying thing was the imposed charge of $27/day of service fee, thought we did not use any additional service and only allowed house keeping once during 5 days.

Watch out for hidden/excess fees! What I purchased did NOT reflect the outcome of the fees

The staff at this hotel were so friendly and accommodating! The hotel itself was in the perfect location for our trip. Will definitely be staying here again!

We had a bad room , the ceiling light was leaking dirty toilet water from above, the first night there was no hot water, the refrigerator didn’t work and the air conditioner sounded like a washing machine with a wrench in it. Manager didn’t seem to care to much , one night they decided they would switch our room but never told us , we arrived after 10pm and they hadn’t cleaned the room or left toilet paper or towels because they thought we would have moved but they said “we arrived back to late” wow. It a shame because it could have been a nice stay. But that room everything was wrong and I’m sure they knew about it.

Small but good. Good room service, door man, front desk and concierge. Close to everything.

The room was very warm, and even when we adjusted the AC, it wasn’t working. The water also didn’t seem to heat up properly in the shower.
The towels smelled a little like mold, and there were some stains on the pillowcases.
The location is great, because the rooms are quite small and I wouldn’t say they’re very comfortable.

The staff were fabulous and the facility was very clean and convenient. We had an issue with no hot water for the duration of our stay. Although we reported it on our first day, the issue was not resolved completely. In all fairness, the hotel did waive the resort fee for our stay as compensation for this issue.

The Eco-friendliness was to the extreme. I like a bar soap, less likely to have preservatives. There is only ONE ice machine for the whole hotel and it’s on 2, for “your convenience” We were on 15. Only stayed one night, didn’t use any facilities. Fees should only be for those that do IMO. Small bottle of wine not sparkling as requested so there is that. Staff was very pleasant when we did interact.

The room was very large and comfortable.
I was able to check in a little early. The staff were all very friendly.

The staff is unfriendly. They always decline upgrades based on my Expedia VIP status. Shower was broken. They fixed it while I was out for dinner but they left behind a dirty bathroom.
The door to the room doesn’t close well: you hear everything in the hallway and you see light coming through the door frame.
Don’t count on getting back any items you may forget in the room. Answer is always the same: we found nothing.
Overall, tired hotel with tired staff.

First trip to New York, so happy we stayed at Iberostar, GREAT location, safe, clean and super friendly staff. My boyfriend and I would definitely stay here again!
