My 5 year old found a small bottle of liquor in our room. They also didn’t have cable, breakfast, or a pool that was usable. If it hadn’t been late when we checked in we would have gone somewhere else. Not to mention someone in a room near us had a dog that barked frequently.

TV cable was not working for the whole hotel. No breakfast the day I was there. The rooms were clean and the water was hot. Thick walls so no outside noise filtering in. Wifi was high speed.

When we arrived we were informed that they no longer had cable, indoor pool was closed, there wouldn't be breakfast like advertised. Our room only had one wash cloth and one hand towel. Went to the front desk to ask for more at 10pm and was told they were being washed and that they would deliver to our room in the morning. 9am and still no towels, so went to front desk again for them to tell me they didn't have any. Many other people complained about no towels also. No toilet paper, was told they were out. Asked for printed receipt but said they didn't have access to the printer that was directly in view.

The people and room are 5-stars. No pool, breakfast, or cable(which they were honest and up-front about!) lowers it to a 4. If you are looking for just a room reasonably priced, this is your place!

There was no tv channel no pool no breakfast didnt know til we got to the hotel n it was 11pm we could cancel it but there was no time to do so n we lived out of state. The room was nice it seem to not be in a bad area. Just would have been nice to know ahead that these things werent working or open so i could have seen if there was another.

We have stayed here on previous trips to Davenport and had a great experience. So we didn’t think twice about booking a room here again.However, the hotel is under new management. They do not have breakfast or cable and the pool is not working. They were only able to give us one room key. The person at the desk said they were only able to give one key because they were busy (there were less than 10 cars the lot). The room that we were given was in the back down a long hallway and it appeared that there were not any other guests in that wing. The side guest doors to the hotel were not locked and some of the empty rooms were propped open. Anyone could have walked in the hotel. My daughter and I just didn’t feel safe. We ended up requesting out money back and staying somewhere else. We travel frequently and have never felt uncomfortable like we did here. I will say they were very nice about canceling our reservation and refunding my money.

The customer service and check in was done in a very friendly manner. The advertisement was misleading stating that the amenities consisting of a pool, wifi, fitness center, and cable TV. It was disappointing to arrive to learn that the pool was closed due to repairs, the TV didn't have a signal, the fitness center was open, but there was a couple of dumbells missing so it was partially complete. The bathroom fan wasn't working so the air was stagnant in the bathroom. The sofa hide a bed had dirt and crumbs in it when I went to use it.

The hotel was nice enough to let us know ahead of time that the TV was not working. The breakfast truck did not run so no food for tomorrow morning. And the linens vehicle didn't bring clean sheets and towels, so beds were made or bathrooms had towels. They were gracious to let us out of our reservation and we book a different hotel.

Worst hotel experience, TV didn’t work, NO SOAP in shower and no bar soap available, promised breakfast consisted of cold coffee and a couple mini muffins wrapped in cellophane. The only other food item in the breakfast area was a half used jar of jam on the counter that looked like it had been there for a while. theI reported my concerns to the Scott County department of health.

The cost per night was $50. We got what we paid for. No TV service. No decent internet connection. A facility that was beyond well worn. Just getting soap to was with was a struggle. I would strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. The staff up front were nice but not really helpful. Likely do to decisions by management who decided to pinch every penny the cold no matter how much it upset guests. The women who cleaned our room was the only genuinely helpful person. I would avoid this property at all costs.

Upon check-in...was informed of pool closed, that the included breakfast was notgoing to be offered, AND that they had no room television signals...for the price, $60ish, and since a had a game console i could still stream netflix/prime etc..
But these issuse were NOT mentioned on thier site at all...there was multiple people checking in that were cancelling their rooms..it was crazy..
The absolute wordt part..is that our hotel room door did not even lock shut from the outside...we could switch the latch from the inside...but if we was to leave the door would not lock begind us...it would shut...but all you had to do was turn the handle and it opened right up...without having to use the keycard...
We did not have time to mention this to staff..as we were on our way to a show that was about to begin in the area...and when we got back was able to just switch the latch from the inside....

1) app listed breakfast not provided, blamed "the truck didn't show up" but staff revealed they stopped breakfast 30 days ago

3) all ice machines except 1 out of service, its up to you to find it
4) NO TV SERVICE and there had been none for at least 3 days. Not a system outage, but a hotel issue
no pool & ice machines are just an inconvenience, but no TV is bad. And how hard would it be for someone to pick up fruit, pastries etc on way to work every day, and put out some coffee
Stairwells were dirty, but room was very nice. But that's a fold over from the previous owners
The young lady on the desk was very nice, felt sorry she had to field my complaints

I was unable to stay because nothing in the hotel worked. No food, no pool and no tv. They canceled my reservation but i had to call hotels.com for a refund which they could not provide without calling the hotel but their phones didnt work. After 1.5 hours i was finally offered a new hotel room but i was already at a new hotel.

First they put me into a dirty room. There was hair all in the sink like someone cut their hair in it. The second room was nice but smaller. It also didnt have a microwave. The resturant and all food was closed down. I was not notified of any of that before. And jus to top it off the morning of my last day at 7am i walked out of my room to meet with my friend to walk them upstairs. When we got back to the room the key didnt work. So then i had to wait well over 20 minutes for a cleaning lady because nobody else came in till 9. Luckily she was able to open my door for me unless i would have been locked out for multiple hours.

I made a reservation online and it was fast and easy. I get to the hotel and everything was either under construction or not offered at the time. Like breakfast and the pool. And other things weren't working like the television. I mean not even a channel. I truly thought I was going to relax. And that's not to mention the smell of marijuana on my way to my room. It's been a trying week for me so I was exhausted and didn't want to hunt down another room so I stayed. I asked the clerk for a discount and was told absolutely not. So I just checked out. I've stayed there multiple times and enjoyed my stay but the place is obviously under new management and or ownership.

First, 3:30, and my room wasn't ready. Gave me another room, had a 4:00 event. Second, the front desk gal was hard to understand, I had her repeat several times. Accent, Very soft voice. She needs to speak UP. Third, She gave me my card... no directions as to where my room was.....I looked at her a couple seconds, finally asked where my room was, SHE POINTED!!!!!😐😑. Fourth, no extra TP, or kleenex, ran out and had to use TP.....sparingly as very little left on roll. Tried calling front desk 3 times starting at 7:30, no answer!!!!!! Room was clean, bed was very comfortable, nice and Quiet. I give housekeeping a 5, front desk 1. I will come back, with my own TP and kleenex😊

good low priced option. rooms well appointed, clean, comfortable. grounds need some care, e.g., cigarette butler by door in pieces with butts scattered, outside door key-lock non-functioning. Room was nicely quiet in face of good occupancy based on number of cars in lot.

Main reasons we booked this hotel - Indoor Pool, breakfast Included. And the high star ratings this hotel supposedly has. We’ll STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE… It should be a MUCH LOWER STAR RATING.
First of all. We were never told the pool room was closed for maintenance - and we got up to go to breakfast and there was none, when I asked at the desk she said “they didnt tell you that when you checked in?”
I said. - ‘Do you think I would have gotten up and come down here for breakfast if they had?’
When we got to our room, there were NO towels, Not a single towel… went to the front desk to get towels, we went to the “linen storage” closets and came out with a small stack… the guy gave me one big towel, two hand towels and a floor towel, I said, there are two adults in the room I need another big towel, he said “that is the only towels we have, I have no other towels to give”
NO OTHER TOWELS ?
And when i got it back to the room… it was all torn up.
Our door handle is broken.
The coffee pot is DISGUSTING - look how dirty that is! (We didn’t use it of course).
This place is a joke.
We probably slept on dirty sheets.
At least the water gets hot….
Do not book your stay here.

There was no service. When I arrived (1) cleaning person for a 3 level Hotel. I had to wait to check in. No swimming pool, breakfast as advertised. They did have coffee but it was cold. Hallways, elevator were dirty and carpet was stained very bad. My tub would not drain. It had hair in the bottom of the tub. Had to ask for toilet paper after 1 day.

Have stayed at this location several times. Last year breakfast was great for a Continental breakfast. Typical choices of eggs, sausage in warmers, and a pancake machine that in theory is awesome but wasn't quick and required staff to change batter, they had Greek yogurt, fruit, bagels etc. I appreciated they had lactose free milk as an option. Then last several months they said they frequently would say they are waiting on weekend shipment so it was cereal, bagels, apples kind of deal. This last stay it looks like they may have gotten new owners? Being an early riser I went to see if they had hot coffee an hour before breakfast hours, they had yesterday's, as well as over flowing trash, filthy tables, leftover bagels. The only thing that came out after was coffee, because front desk was kind enough to make it, previous bagels and 8 half defrosted muffins. This stay all trashes were overfilled, check in and man working 3 rd shift weren't friendly, morning lady with coffee was stellar, I recognized her from previous stay. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Common woman's restroom was trashed, I waited and walked back to my room. For the price, if they fixed previous mentioned problems, would have been a great deal. It looks like they are transitioning management of some sort but unfriendly staff and gross common areas is ridiculous. We will stay here again in the near future and hoping new management takes roles seriously and this doesn't become another super 8

I booked this hotel based on its reviews. As a male, I typically book low cost hotels but decided to treat myself this time. Boy, was I unimpressed. The hotel was mostly clean and, upon arrival, was promising. Thankfully the bed sheets were clean but I did have some issues. Again, I typically stay in some shady hotels and these following items are things I expect at a lower end hotel reservation. So I was a bit disappointed with this stay because:
-There was a long black piece of hair dangling from
the bathroom faucet.
-The room has no tissue. The only paper source was the half roll of toilet paper.
-Want to use the ice machine? The ONLY working one is the one on the first floor. There are two ice machines on the first floor but only one works. My experience from my third floor room was “sorry. Please use ice machine on two or first floor”. The second floor ice machine wasn’t working. On the first floor I went to use the first ice machine that, again, apologized and directed me towards the “exit 4” ice machine. Ugh.
-The room had not book detailing the location of nearby restaurants or event the included amentities of laundry, pool, etc. If you wanted to find them you had to go exploring.
-Don’t be seduced by alleged perk of “breakfast included”. Breakfast was individually wrapped bagels and spreads (butter, cream cheese, or PB). Frankly, breakfast was laughable.
-The “shop” was completely empty. Frankly closed. So not snacks, drinks, or emergency personals available.

On Hotels.com, it said that this hotel provides free breakfast and there was no breakfast available! Asked to replace the iron that didn't work. Customer service didn't provide a new iron that works! I would not go back if they don't have breakfast in the morning when hotels.com mentioned that they have free breakfast!

The check-in staff was exceptional, however, the facility is extremely dirty, and the parking lot was unsafe as it was not cleared away of any snow, or ice that had become accumulated at the entries to the hotel. When I went to check out this morning, there was no staff and the number that was left to inquire of any issues was not answered. And the door was left unlocked and open with no one to staff the front. That is completely unsafe situation. It was such an unsatisfactory stay that I would like to seek my money back.

My stay started badly and became horrible.
There was no attendant when I arrived to check in and I waited in the lobby for 10 minutes until a staff member was dropped off at the front drive and returned to their post.
The room was not well cleaned and not stocked completely.
The following morning when I prepared to load my car, there was glare ice which had not been addressed even with salt or de-icer, and I fell, smashing my arm against the driveway.
When I reentered the lobby to have my injury addressed, the staff response was that they were new and didn't know what to do. An additional response was that the front drive wasn't made safe because (something or someone) had not been paid.
Ultimately the front desk called paramedics to check me out. My arm was already very swollen and had been impacted all the way from the base of my fingers to my elbow.
Some time later salt was applied to a portion of the walkway but was thin on one side. When I pointed this out, the staff mentioned that they had depleted the salt and maintenance had gone to purchase more. This was on an occasion when an ice storm had been expected and preparations for sufficient materials or staff could easily have been planned.
At no point during this sequence or since did the staff express concern over my wellbeing, regret over the incident, or any other consideration of me as a customer subject to the unsatisfactory safety and response of the staff.
Absolutely recommend this location be avoided.

The staff was very pleasant and accommodating, however the large amounts of snow from a storm several days prior, made parking very limited and difficult.

The staff was friendly, but seemed to be severely understaffed and didn’t have a lot of resources available to them to help make their guests stay a good one. Nothing seemed to work either. The pool was closed, the ice machine didn’t work, the orange juice at “breakfast” was room temperature, and I attempted to check out at the desk 4 different times and nobody was ever there. The exhaust fan in the bathroom didn’t work, and since they put us up in a handicap room with with a roll-in shower basically every surface of the bathroom had moisture on it after a quick 5 minute shower. One of our bath towels also had some blood on it, that wasn’t discovered until we were ready to use it. Overall it’s not a great place to stay, but I wouldn’t pin it on the day to day staff. It looks like an ownership issue, and it needs to be taken care of.

We arrived after dark and could not find the building because the building sign was not lit up and there were no lights in the parking lot. Our visit was for 2 nights and the sidewalks were never cleared of snow. There was also a downed tree that I believe belonged to the adjoining property but partially blocked the Sonesta driveway.

I stayed last year everything went good so i booked again this year mind u i called and checked on everything first so we get to hotel first room no heat,promise of breakfast we got it first day they tell us no food truck so we are out on food,then jacuzzi dont work heated pool dont work we asked for our money back wont stay here ever again n whenbwe first walked in cols are there for an employes family member with warrants thatvwas staying there

I don't normally write up this kind of review. This property is in real need of an update. The bed was comfortable. There was hot water. So it was OK. The staff was friendly, but there were never enough towels. As in NO TOWELS at the gym or the pool. Even after we asked about towels...none showed up. We stayed over Christmas, so I get it that most of the staff is not working. The hot tub was not working. The food was sparse or non existent. Ice machines were not working. The pool was in good shape but the key card would not let us in. Lot's of people smoking weed. Overall...just not a nice place given that for very similar money, we could have had a more pleasant stay elsewhere.

2 years ago my grandaughter and I started hotel nights to have fun and come swim and hot tub it was an average hotel 1st stay 2nd got a little worse 3rd worse and recently we booked 3 nights for Christmas and it was terrible. Got a room with pull out bed that was full of stains and looked 100 years old. The entire room was filthy carpet stained and nasty. The hallways were so dirty the elevator was dirty. I had to get on my knees to scrub bathroom floor because it was so dirty. There were dirty washcloths hanging up on bars. We could not find anyone to get any extra towels and we stayed 3 days. Hot tub broke. Breakfast ran out one day and no breakfast next day they said truck didn’t show. My 11 year old grandaughter even said it was a disgusting hotel and she never wanted to come back and it literally was her favorite. We will never return it was a very uncomfortable stay because of the filth and staff had their children running around the halls too and could never find them at desk for anything. I even ran into another family in hall who left early and got a refund for the remaining nights because it was so dirty. Anyone could enter building because security doors did not work. So sad this place has taken a negative slide downward because we stayed there quite often and we never will again total waste of money.
