No blackout curtains and the fix was a discount vs fixing it … we did check in late so i guess less staff … we just tied sheets to the window

The food was delicious and very friendly staff

Pool area wasnt as fun as expected but it was also chilly.

This is a great hotel to stay in San Diego. Would highly recommend it. I just wish they offered more plant based meal options!
3.0
Great resort in a great location. The only negative was the long line at check-in.
3.0
It was good!

Okay so the resort is nice (pool, gym facilities, etc.). The only downside is that it is quite isolated - far from other restaurants/areas and also not close at all to transit. You are only about a 13 minute uber to downtown or Pacific Beach but again nothing in the immediate area.

Beautiful property! Enjoyed a nice weekend get away for the second time and will surely be back again!

This hotel is overpriced after all the fees and resort charges. The rooms are old and noisy with coffee machine and safe not working. No resort servicea here, but they do charge you for it. No robes or disposable cups in the room. This hotel lacks staff to keep it clean and maintained. Grounds are nice and good location. Overpriced restaurant and pool service.

Great location and fireworks were spectacular in the evening. The bed was incredibly hard and neighbors were very roudy. We had a suite with fire pit which was awesome but so did our neighbors which they used all night long. Great place to party and get crazy no doubt but not for family vacation

The grounds are beautiful . However some of the rooms are outdated they book out best rooms for events weddings etc . This was our families first time and it was loud from the hallway to the inside of the room you can hear everything from top to bottom . The A/C did not work just the fan . We had to switch rooms once due to being out in the wrong room originally . We stayed in the balboa area of the resort . The housekeeping is not the greatest floors dusty curtains stained no Kleenex just one that showed . Tv stands dusty I was disappointed for our first time .

We enjoyed our time at mission bay resort. Wasn’t as clean as I expected. Dust on counters in room, stains on bedding/curtains, discoloration of walls around tile in shower. Limited dining options. Eat at the resort only and wasn’t that good. Nothing within walking distance.

The property and people were very nice but there was a hiccup immediately upon arrival when the room wasn’t ready for an hour after check-in time. They seemed a bit understaffed during the period between Christmas and New Year, but again, the people were extremely friendly and helpful. Especially Isabel and Micah at the front desk, both very knowledgeable and helpful. Appreciate their efforts to smooth the road. Would stay here again, but most likely during a different time of the year. Great views of the Bay!!!

The view was great, food very good in restaurant and staff friendly. The only thing was our room smelled a little moldy. The interior of the room needs an update or paint.

No complimentary drinking water bottles in the room for such a fancy resort

Absolutely loved this hotel and surrounding area. There was a lot to do; we had two dogs with us, and there were plenty of areas we could walk them. Would definitely stay again.

Children were allowed to run up and down the halls very early each morning. Complaints were never addressed. About 4 A.M to 7 a.m. one morning we awoke to terrible noises coming from the room vents and water leaking from the ceiling and overhead light fixtures. Turns out the toilet in the room above had flooded the room and it was leaking down into our room. We were not offered a new room and instead of sending someone to properly clean towels were put down to absorb all the water leaking from the ceiling. Despite many calls to the front desk it was finally the maintenence man that told us about the clogged toilet. So disappointed in this so-called resort, the lack of professionalism and utter lack of concern about a clogged toilet leaking down onto my family.

Being so close to mission bay for morning walks and very dog friendly

The room was clean. The floor was filthy, we found many coal roaches , the floor was disgusting and had caps of dirt.

The room was not what we expected. It faced parking and it was noisy. It was not clean. I called and advised them that the linens smelled bad and Tom smelled like dog pee and was house keeping would come. I had to call the next morning. They did not come until 3pm in the afternoon on the following day.
The remote control did not work.
The refrigerator did not get cold.
The bathroom floor was dirty.

The property is located on Mission Bay with a beautiful 9.7 mile trail around the bay. The activities rental business is footsteps from the hotel and you can rent paddle boards, motor boats, bicycles and more. The sunsets are stunning.
The food is mediocre, nothing special. The bartenders varied from very good to meh. The waitstaff were very good all around.
The room view descriptions are very deceiving. We selected a "View" room and wound up in a hotel tower where the view was of the tops of palm trees obstructing the view of the bay.
Due to an issue with our room, the hotel upgraded us to a Bay Front room, and the views from there were spectacular.
Would we stay here again, yes, but we'll spend more time exploring off property restaurants.
Uber rides to downtown are approximately $30 - $35, to Old Town around $15. The best part is that most Uber pick-ups were within 4 minutes of requesting a ride.
The $38 / day resort fee is expensive if all you are using is the internet, but it does include the use of the fitness center.
Tack on $42 / day for parking, and it becomes ridiculously expensive.
The stay was nice but if you're looking to stay here, be prepared to overpay for items.

The hotel staff is unfriendly, and reservations are needed for the restaurants. The hotel seems outdated with nothing special.

Staff was awesome. Every person i spoke to was delightful and extremely helpful. Thank you to all!!

Parking lots are poorly lit despite $42 a night charge for parking. Large resort charge also even though it’s pretty cold and we used nothing at the resort. Expedia should explain the full price in their description.

For a 'luxury' resort this fails. Tons of little annoyances and poor maintenance of the rooms....the paint is blistering and flaking in the celling of the shower. The electrical outlet by the bed is behind the nightstand and then behind the wall....you need to peel a velcroed wall panel off to get at it. Parking is $42 a night. Bottled water in the room was $7. The wait staff was bored and hardly could be bothered for service. Skip this place.

The resort is a great place. Family and couple friendly. Theres something for everyone. The rooms are nice and give off a very chill vibe. The staff is friendly and willing to help anyway. The location of the hotel is great and close to downtown and all attractions. Theres park and nice walking paths along the inlet.

Traveled from Boston to San Diego Mission Bay resort with my family two children under the age of 13. This property was ideal for family vacations would highly recommend it to any family traveling to San Diego

We enjoyed our stay here and the restaurant had delicious food. The only negative was that we could not get a massage due to heavy bookings.

Carpet in our room is so dirty. The bathroom is outdated and the toilet bowl is so low and old. The
room that we got was old as well, we had the 2 quees with bay view. For that price, its not eeally worth it. We wish went to Bahia instead.
Lastly, I am very surprised that the parking is not free. I feel like we are in L.A.

I loved everything about this resort!

Lovely staff ( Dorthy) in Gift Shop, wonderful pool area, and nice, large guest room

I'd say the room was just average for a hotel room and not worth what I paid. there was lots of things to do, and I paid daily 'amenity' fees for things I'm too old to do! the bed was not comfortable, there was no chairs or table in the room, just a small chaise that wasn't very comfortable to sit on. the fridge and microwave were in a small cabinet that was very hard to open. this room had a 'roll-in' shower, which was nice and big, I did like that. but the water pressure wasn't good. the sink had little more than a trickle to wash hands with and the toilet didn't flush well. the room did have a very nice private patio where we could sit outside in the cool air. that was nice!

Great vacation, place a bit rundown for price, service was exceptional

I like that everything was clean and easy to get around.
Restaurant & food was not great. Not so great options.
