We usually love Holiday Inn Express and Suites hotels, but this location was more like a Best Western. The front desk staff was great, the building was older, elevator wasn’t working upon arrival, and breakfast was terrible.

Wouldn't let several guests (including me) to check in until after 5 PM. Will never return.

The room was clean but not well maintained especially the bathroom with chipped tiles. The small refrigerator was not functioning well. It wasn't cold & it didn't have any type of control mechanism. Front desk said repairman will come in 15 minutes then after 30 min, she called back & said all refrigerators have the same temp. She offered change of room but that didn't make any sense if the refrigerators are the same. Breakfast isn't cook to order like the other Holiday Inns we've been to. Parking is not secure. Location is noisy even during the night. Some recording kept playing about 'police have been notified' - it's some security being breached but no idea where. Also lots of Tesla jockeying for position at the charging location which takes up most of the parking in front of the hotel.

Very comfortable stay at this Holiday Inn Express. Great reception upon check in. Delicious hot breakfast. Friendly, professional check out by Pricilla. She anticipates needs and delivers. She should be Employee of the Year. This was one of several stays at this hotel. We will definitely book this hotel again when we come to Pasadena.

The breakfast buffet was fitting for the level of service we expected at this hotel price. The fitness room and pool were clean and well kept. Rooms were nice and spacious. Overall, would stay at again

Hotel itself is older but very clean. Staff was friendly and very eager to do anything asked of them. Hotel offers a nice complimentary breakfast, but does not have any restaurants on site. Neighborhood does not offer many restaurant choices either since it is mostly retail stores. Metro train is within walking distance and is easy to use to get to Old Town Pasadena.

It was a good place to stay near Sierra Madre Station which gets to Old Pasadena and anywhere else you would like to go around LA. Shopping mall close across the highway and Amazon Fresh within walking distance. Right on Route 66 Colorado Boulevard if you want to drive into Old Pasendena. Overall excellent location. Breaskfast was good. Rooms were a little old. A few maintenance issues like shower plunger hard to pull up and door release had to push really hard to get door to open. Overall a good stay.

I like that this hotel is conveniently located to The Rose Bowl, where we were seeing a game. It seems like a safe area and it's easy to get to from the freeway. The rooms are spacious and pretty much have everything you need. The shower is hot, with good water pressure. The bedding is nice, with a well padded comforter and fluffy pillows. The thermostat made it easy to control the temperature in the room. I appreciate the double window shades, so you can darken the room at night but also let in light but still have privacy in the morning. The room smelled musty. Something like mold, or maybe cleaning products covering up a bad smell. It just didn't smell good when we entered the room. I appreciate the front desk staff giving us complimentary bottled water when we checked in. I also really appreciate the excellent service on the phone from Priscilla, who set us up with the room we wanted and an early checkin.

staff wasn't able to phone a cab for us, they said they don't do that so we registered for uber so we could do that furniture in the cafeteria badly torn and worn food in cafeteria was low quality I have taken some pictures that wold shock you all the drawers in the room were open in the morning as the building is not level and they slid open in the night no towels in the sink area, had to go into the bathroom to get a towel to wash hands and face. a simple towel rack would have eliminated the situation. garbage cans were not where they should have been so we asked for another one grab bar in shower should have been placed on the other side (left side of the tub) nothing to hold onto when getting in th shower or tub. bar was behind the curtain and beside the toilet. toilet paper roll came out of the wall used Kleenex found behind the pillows on the bed. safe deposit boxes were not safe at all. they're 4-6 small boxes as used in a bank vault that had to be opened with a key, and shared!!!! They told me they watch when people want to get things out or put in but if someone needs them at the front desk they will not be watching. And, what kind of security that you share your passport, jewellery, with total strangers. very appalling. R.DEVLIN,Vancouver, Canada

Comfortable Beds. Quiet. Easy parking. EXCELLENT Breakfast--and they let us eat cereal before it was officially open on Sunday because we had to catch a plane. Very helpful. There should always be a grab-n-go option for those who need to leave early. Thank you for that.

Nice hotel with good bfast. Hotel sits back off the street so it's a bit hard to find. Nice looking pool and hot tub but not warm enough weather to go into it. We ate at the sushi place near the street and it was great. Ask for the 10% hotel stay discount.

The first time we stayed at this property was great! This was our second stay and was very different than the first time. We had to wait several minutes at check in for someone to meet us at the front desk. Vilma cleaned our room and it seems she forgot the bathroom. There were hairs on the floor and leftover soap from a bar if soap in the shower. The rest was okay, except a few people used 2 parking spots, so finding a space was a challenge.

This is the second time ive stayed here, due to participating in the nearby San Marino Motorcar Classic. The underground parking is a plus, to safely store my vintage car. However, my room this year was stuck down a hallway...dark, no view, no balcony, and a bathroom that had only a sink...no place to put any toiletries. The AC was LOUD...I know they have better rooms, and I paid more this year. The desk clerk was sweet, although it required her to "check with mgmt" before allowing me to change my departure date w/o a fee...even though I clearly paid the extra $$ for just this option. I'll likely stay there next year, but maybe I'll get a....better room!

There was no body wash in the locked down containers in the bath room - in other words there was no soap in the bathroom. The tub drain could not be closed so the bathtub could not be filled. Also the tub needs a non-slip mat to make it safer for handicapped and elderly. And that was rhe loudest air conditioning unit I've ever heard in my life. Not easy to sleep with that thing roaring. And the sheets felt old and coarse. I'm being frank here because I expect better when I pay $240 per night for a room.
