Had stayed before, but due to a blizzard at home we stayed safe. Clean, quiet and comfortable. The refill of the toilet tank was a tad noisy, but short term. Breakfast was very nice. Good to know a clean quiet economical place is close by.

We have used the Gateway for several years on trips to Salida. It's a solid choice at the low end of Salida prices. Clean, typical breakfasts for the price range, good location. King bed was comfortable. Worth the reasonable cost.

Clean, nicely updated, fairly quiet considering it is on Hwy 50 in town. Lots of selections for breakfast. Good value for the price. Only real negaitive is that In-room coffee was terrible, but breakfast coffee was good. Desk help was kind and friendly.

It was a good enough room for a solo trip for a meditation retreat I attended in the area. The continental breakfast was underwhelming--the fresh apples and bananas good though. I'm disappointed when I see places still using Styrofoam plates and cups in the 21 century. I stayed Friday - Monday, and the room was nicely cleaned by the staff on Sunday--not necessary but it was nice.

Customer service was A+ It was refreshing since you don’t always get that service other places! The housekeeping lady even ran to our car after we, had left some thing in the room to catch us before we were leaving. Staff goes the extra mile!

The room was unbelievably clean. My son and I walked around kind of astonished on how nice the room was in terms of cleanliness, etc.. We will stay there again.

Had a great stay the room was very clean, the heat worked great and everything stayed pretty quiet. We were able to really enjoy watching some movies on the provided HBO. The only issue was an incredible amount of static electricity buildup while walking around on the thick carpets. Got a few pretty severe shocks while trying to plug our phones in.

Nice hotel for the price. Really wanted to take advantage of the hot tub after skiing, but could only get a couple of the jets to work so that was a big disappointment.

this hotel was very clean, but the wifi did not work at all and the tv kept going out. Also, the sauna was horrible and the hot tub being in the middle of the parking lot was not cool at all.

There are good motels and bad motels. This seems like a good one. Hotel quality room with motel prices. They have a nice little hot tub gazebo and a fitness room. My only qualm is that the front door was thin which made the noise from the close by highway quite loud. Also, the coffee was terrible. Haha. But I would definitely stay here again. The staff was quite welcoming.

Hotel lobby was tastefully decorated for Halloween. Our room was clean, toiletries were better quality and small fridge, coffee maker with coffee bags were provided. Bathroom is really compact and two queen beds were comfortable. We were impressed with large selections of foods items at complimentary continental breakfast. There are two restaurants right next door. Good choice for travelers.

Rooms and public areas were very clean. Rooms are pretty small. There is also something off-putting in this property's guest relations...from the passive aggressive comments that "your room might not be ready yet because we arrived a few minutes before check-in to the list of do's and don'ts rules sent twice before arrival. When we arrived we were told housekeeping would not be provided each day of our stay, only "every other day." We had no alternative but to say "okay." Finally, the hot tub was never opened at the 4 o' clock opening time. We had to ask each day for it to be opened. Little things that all add up to not wanting to stay there again.

Staff were friendly and always busy cleaning. Making sure trash cans around the property were empty. I liked seeing that. I give it a 4.5. -.5 only due to the fact I could hear the guy upstairs walking in the morning. Plus the price was a little high. But I guess supply and demand.
