I booked the Auburn Lodge for my wife for business travel. Upon arrival there were several men hanging around in the parking lot and on the balcony staring at her as she drove in the parking lot. She was very uncomfortable and left without checking in and went to dinner, hoping they would be gone when she returned. After she returned they were still hanging out. The all stopped and watched her as see drove through again which scared her being a female alone. She left and paid for a different hotel done the road. Hotels.com was contacted, situation explained and they said they would contact Auburn Lodge to get refund. Hotels.com sent a generic email back stating that they could not issue a refund due to policy. My wife had no way of knowing in advance of her arrival that she would be faced with an unsafe situation. I contacted the general manager and she insisted that hotels.com had not contacted her about the decision. She then gave me the runaround that she couldn’t issue the refund without hotels.com initiating it. Hotels.com has failed to respond to multiple emails. The obviously don’t care. Be aware. Don’t stay at the Auburn Lodge and don’t trust Hotels.com with your travel plans!!

I’m a young female and I was traveling solo. Stayed at the auburn lodge for a night and had no troubles at all. Comfortable space and had great sleep! Gave a 4 star for cleanliness bc the floors were slightly sticky but everything else was great. Only 5 minutes from the university

Reserved a ground floor room and was given a second floor room. Bath tub had curly black hairs. New remolded hotel...has a leaking roof over bed in room 207. Water hit me in the face ans woke me up. "CONTINENTAL breakfast" advertised. 40 minutes after it began they ran out of food, because they have long term stayers. Refused to put out more food. 3 mini muffins left and stale cereal. My husband ctackes a crown on something in the raisanbran. When i spoked to the manager she refused to help me with a refund, told me they dont put out much food and if they run out they run out (with 2 1/2 hours of breakfast time left). She went so far as to condescendingly dismiss me while i was speaking because she didnt want to hear my problems.

there was roaches everywhere in the room. when we first walked in it smelled like rotten food and cigarettes. we had to run to walmart to purchase Lysol and clorox wipes to clean the room.

Was in town for a ballgame. The room was very clean and nice could have had one more set of towels there was only 2 and there was three of us. The only bad thing was the park lot got loud late at night with young kid pregame partying being it's a motel.

When I checked in I was given my keycard I went to the room, used the keycard and the room was occupied. The woman at the front desk was great and asked for me to come back in an hour. I did the room was ready! I was told the manager would reach out to me the next day which never happened. The TV in the room did not work all weekend there was no remote when we got there. The staff tried to get a remote that worked but that was unsuccessful

The hotel and staff were excellent. The problem was the bed. The frame was evidently made of aluminum, everytime you moved it would make a clunking noise. Also room was not cool enough, like there was a control on it. We prefer to have it cool when we sleep. Rm 112

Room smells strongly of cigarette smoke. The disappointment, especially after they “waived” a surprising $100 cash smoking deposit. We are non-smokers and as soon as you open the door the room it reaks. Maids knocking on door at 8am when checkout is 11am. Phone rang from front desk shortly after. Let us rest in the room we rented people! Breakfast included was hardly nothing. Toilet seat has burns on it. Refrigerator wasn’t wiped out. Stay was like being in a run down place.

Upon reading reviews from previous visitors, I was a bit skeptical about the Auburn Lodge. However, My husband and I stayed here for a football weekend and I was beyond presently surprised. The entire motel has been completely remodeled. Our room was very clean and had all of the necessities that we needed for our short stay. After we got back from the game, we had fresh towels (which we desperately needed, as it was a hot day!) and our shower and sink area had been cleaned. The front office staff was beyond helpful and friendly. We will stay again if they are not too booked next time. Just FYI... We could not get a Lyft or an Uber at all to come get us! Use "Tiger Taxi" instead!

One thing is that the property is being renovated so that has ups and downs but the improvements are fantastic. The location is great to do everything in the Auburn area. We have stayed here multiple times and will continue to do so based on our last visit. The staff was so friendly and easy to do things with. All of the crew was friendly too and despite the work going on, not noisy or disruptive. The eagle pictures are a nice touch as well.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel. I booked a non-smoking room and was given a room that was permeated with smoke. I immediately went to the front desk to ask about a different room and was told that was the only "non-smoking" room. The were remodeling and hadn't painted the room or changed the curtains and other linens over to non-smoking. I asked for a refund and was told to go through hotels.com. Hotels.com reached out to the property and I had to call the hotel. It took them over 2 months to issue a refund and they only refunded me $79 versus the entire amount of $180. The manager said that I was charged a night due to their policy but didn't uphold the non-smoking rokm agreement. There are plenty of other hotels in the arena, I would recommend any of those.

It worked for what we needed. It's going through a renovation, which it looks like it needed, and our room was recently renovated. They did a pretty good job. There were a couple of issues. We needed to provide $100 cash at check-in for them to keep until we left and someone was to "check" our room. Nobody checked our room, but we did get our $100 cash back, so still not sure what the cash was for. We didn't know about it before check-in, so it was a little odd, but we made it work. The smoke detector for our room was on the desk, with no battery. There was no TV remote (someone had to bring and program it). Sink faucet was super loud. Overall, we just needed a place to sleep for a couple of nights and it was fine for that.
