I originally booked my stay at the Rising Sun Inn because I was in the area to see Van Morrison. What I didn't expect was how much I'd enjoy everything else the hotel has to offer.
The inn was comfortable, welcoming, and a great base for exploring the beautiful countryside. One of the highlights of my trip turned out to be the wonderful hiking opportunities right around the hotel. The trails and scenery were a pleasant surprise and gave me a chance to slow down and enjoy the area beyond the concert itself. And the pub and beer garden overlooking the Cotswolds were relaxing.
If you're a music fan coming for a show, or simply someone who enjoys walking and exploring nature, I can highly recommend the Rising Sun Inn. I arrived for Van Morrison, but I stayed for the hiking and the friendly staff of this family-run hotel.
p.s. thanks for the late check-in after the concert. Sorry to make you come over from the house to the hotel.
