Chose this hotel based on location, amenities and overall value. This is definitely an older hotel, as they are opening a new location about a mile north, next to the Tru hotel. Signage is a little hard to see from the road, it's right next to the Sam's Club lot and behind Cracker Barrel. Check-in is normally at 3 pm, but I called 2 hours prior and they not only accommodated that request, but asked if I had a floor preference, which I requested west facing (rear of the building, facing west and the woods) as opposed to the parking lot. Stayed on Friday-Monday. Room 305. I would say it was good on cleanliness. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful at all times. Had an issue with a loud guest directly next to us, but they took care of it within a timely fashion. The breakfast area was clean and had a decent selection, not bad for an all-inclusive breakfast. The pool was smaller than most hotel pools, but not a big deal. The hot tub was available for use, but all the jets were not working, so it was hard to get the full effect. I didn't get to use the workout room, but that is available on the third floor as well. I like how they offer coffee throughout the day for guests and fresh water in the lobby. The worst part of this hotel was the lack of comfort from the beds, especially the pillows. Woke up with a stiff neck a few nights, but they did at least give a few extra pillows, although it didn't really help.

Mostly Satisfied but not impressed! 20 m after check in a women worker enter the room with a master key, apparently not knowing the room was rented. There was a dirty wash cloth hanging in the shower as well. The noise level of the upstairs folks walking and room doors closing loudly was more than most hotels. As well as the neighbors tv could be heard all nite long. I travel for business and have back issues so went to use hot tub only to find the jets don’t work. So it’s a public bath. My summary is the cost to stay here in combo with being kept up all night was not worth it. Breakfast was prepackaged items, with no fresh fruit available so coffee was the only amenity I enjoyed unfortunately.

Staff were very pleasant and offered me my choice of floors. Because of an injury, I preferred the first floor and it had great access to the parking lot. Despite this, it was very quiet. The room was extremely clean and temp was easy to regulate. Bed super comfy and everything worked properly in the room. Only downside was the hot tub. It worked in terms of temperature but no jets due to repair. We at least got to soak. Breakfast was OK, basic spread with microwave egg sandwiches and quiches. Overall very pleasant stay.

This is a nice hotel in a convenient location close to town, however, the room was above the pool and there was a vibration on the floor. the vibration was strong enough that you felt it all the time. I asked the front desk to have a different room, but they told me they didn't have any available. they told me that the vibration was the result of them doing laundry at that it would stop at 10:00PM. Needless to say, the vibration never stopped.

The receptionist man was very helpful and understanding of the need of the customer. He provided us with the rolling extra bed upon my request. Unfortunately, the rolling bed has bed buds which we did not notice until we reached home. My husband was full of bud bites all over his back.

Nice place. Odd location. Very hard to get on and off the highway. Poor signage to find the drive in, so keep yours eyes open. Nice breakfast. Nice pool and hot tub.

This was our second time staying here for Christmas night and the staff was beyond amazing. They made us feel comfortable and even gave each of my kids a special snack to go with their hot cocoa bar.

Strong damp, musty smell and upon reading reviews, it seems that there is presence of black mold. A member of our party was experiencing symptoms of black mold allergies just a few hours after we left- not thrilled

Room was very clean. ‘Communal’ shampoo, conditioner and body wash leave much to be desired. Staff very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was not very appealing and wasn’t replenished as needed.

Cleanliness is of the utmost importance to me for a hotel. This one was probably the cleanest I've been in in a long time...even the hallways were very clean. The only negative was the counter size in the vanity area. Not a lot of room around the sink. Not a major thing and can't be remedied at this point.

We had a great stay at the Fairfield Inn in Traverse City! Our room was clean and very nice. The beds were very comfortable, and it was quiet. The hotel seemed very up to date and modern. We will definitely stay there again!
