There was the constant sound of a pneumatic drill on the construction site next door ( should have been warned) The heating was on so high it was unbearably warm. Couldnt get the aircon working.The bed and pillows were terrible

Lovely Hotel. Staff were friendly. Room was comfortable. It was extremely warm in our room, we had to put the aircon on. But it was a deceiving warm few days in middle of February so that probably didn’t help. The room had a TV, mini fridge, kettle and a safe. We had an additional bed for our four year old it was more of a futon, which was smaller than a single bed. It took up most the space otherwise the room would have been very spacious. The bed was suitable for our four year old. We didn’t see any other families during our stay but as a sleeping hub it’s perfectly fine for families. Lots of options for breakfast including Fresh pancakes and even pizza! Brilliant location on the pest side. Surrounded by restaurants and shops. A Few of the attraction's are very close by, And the city tour bus stop is a three minute walk away, along with regular bus stops. Everything ranges from a few minutes up to a 20 minute walk away. I would happily stay here again.

Arrived early as our flight arrival was in the morning. Check in time was 3pm but the lovely staff at the reception allowed us to check in just at 10am. The staff were all friendly and helpful specially the lady who assisted us during check in. I think her name is Tina (but im not sure).There was also a complimentary drink for two. The hotel was clean and daily cleaning was done. The location is great. Everything was within walking distance. We will definitely come back. I highly recommend this place.

This hotel is in an excellent location. Walk out the door and shopping and restaurants galore. It was near a bus stop (five minute walk) to get you across the river but everything really touristy on the Pest side was within walking distance. The room itself was very nice. Comfortable bed that took up most of the room so not much floor area. The room service arrived quickly and it was decent food. Being so close to shopping meant it was loud outside especially as I had a room facing the pedestrian walk. But that was a trade off for being able to walk out the door to so many options.

Overall it was ok, nothing special with the hotel, the room or the staff. Location is good, right in the city centre. Not much options for the breakfast.

The hotel is in an excellent location. The hotel itself has a great breakfast option and the staff were so helpful and friendly. The rooms and bathroom were compact. Mattress was very soft. Cleaning could have been better. Would recommend on location and staff at breakfast alone.

Hotel is in a great spot for everything around and easy to get to .Hotel was very clean and staff excellent. We stayed in a lovely room but only one thing was a building site was right outside our window and there were working Saturday and Sunday morning at 7.30am but not to much of a problem as we were up earlier to go out and see the amazing Budapest 😀

Lovely clean hotel nice and central. Only negative side was that our room overlooked the building site with work taking place very early in the mornings. However, with the window shut it was soon rectified.

The room was a good size and very clean. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was a good size and very clean. Great location- very central to major tourist destinations. Close to trains and bus stops. Lots of restaurants around. Nice breakfast options. Would stay there again. Only con was that the coffee was not replaced in the room.

Very confortabile hotel in the center of the city, at walking distance for all main actraction points. Very good service level inside. The unique improvement atea is the size of the bathroom which is ver small. Anyhow, all the rest is more than fine

A long weekend mini break. Hotel is very central to be able to explore everything on foot. The rooms are comfortable with a smart modern decor. Lovely buffet breakfast. Nice amenities in the hotel. Good Wi-Fi. Nice Italian restaurant. The staff were lovely and so very welcoming. The room rates were very reasonable. All in all this is a lovely hotel and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Lovely spacious room although shower room a little compact. Great breakfast offered. Very clean hotel. Window didn't close properly so a little noisy at night but didn't bother us too much on the 10th floor. Building works happening next door but again that didn't bother us as we were out all day. Location is perfect for everything. Would recommend.

The AC didn’t work not only in my room in the entire building Because the systems with to outside temp don’t start or something like this So the send me a fan to my room It’s a very hi price for a night to have tropical wheater in your room

The restaurant was very poorly setup and managed. The cooked breakfast options were disgusting. The croissant was anything but. Flies noticed. No toaster. Tea and coffee tepid (not even warm). Attempting to contact the front desk from the room was impossible. However, the staff were nice and cooperative during our face to face encounters.

The Hot Water Kettle in my rom did not work. I needed hot water for my medisin. I asked the reception to fix it the first day. Nothing happened. Next day I asked why it is not fixed and the receptionist got mad and said he didnt know. Really bad service. There is also construction next to the hotel and really noisy in the morning from 7 everday.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Mercure. Was in Budapest for the World Athletics Championships 2023 and the city was a revelation. One of Europe’s unexpected gems. Great location for the hotel, friendly staff and a great breakfast available every day in a spacious dining area. Would unreservedly recommend this hotel.

Great location , all the main sights are walkable from this hotel . The hotel was clean , staff fantastic . The breakfast was great , set us up for the day , lots to choose from , even had pizza! The front entrance is shut from 10pm , you need to use the back , we arrived quite late 11.30pm , and was panicking we were not going to make check in and then when we couldn’t get in the front door it made us panic a bit more . However, we found the back entrance ( took 5mina to walk round the back ) i would recommend this hotel .

We were in Budapest to rest after a church mission trip in Slovakia. All aspects of our stay were great, but the staff (especially the restaurant staff) made the stay exceptional. I had injured my leg prior to our stay and was very uncomfortable. The staff at the restaurant gladly and cheerfully supplied me with ice to help sooth my pain each night. This allowed us to enjoy the city much better. I know it seems like a small item, but it made our stay so much better.

Location is great. Most of the staff is really good and friendly. Will be back for sure. The quality of the breakfast has fallen a bit (not our first time here). Gym really needs improvement.

Check-in was friendly and efficient. Our room fitted two comfortable twin beds, was modern, clean and tastefully appointed. Nice size bathroom provided good quality toiletries. Our booking included breakfast which was a real treat offering hot and cold food and a great coffee machine for wide range of coffees. We happened to stay during a hotel promo of free appies and beverage, once per stay per person and really enjoyed that. Hotel is centrally located to shopping and restaurants all within walkable range. Hotel has front and back entrance for late night access.
