Our favorite “STAYcation”

We stayed over Memorial weekend for a baseball tournament. The hotel and location is beautiful. However, the lobby has a bad sewer smell. Our room was a one bedroom suite with view of the lake and felt like it was missing something. No robes or glasses in the bathroom or in the bar area. There were paper Costco cups for the coffee. The hotel needs updating and the more employees. We felt like they were running on a skeleton crew. However, the Medici restaurant for breakfast had great service! I was disappointed in the pool due to not having servers and having to go into a small take out shack and order food and drinks. They were served in take out boxes and all the trash cans in the pool area were overflowing. No what I expected at this hotel.

The hotel location was great,. The amenities were good. The building needs better maintenance and simple touchup to spruce it up.
The surrounding areas, the stores and restaurants, add to the comfort level of your stay. Good place for the price point.
