Our stay at Motel 6 in Galveston: The clerk was very nice. The room smelled of cigarette smoke:the clerk delivered a room spray to get rid of the odor (which of course it did not) and stated there were no other 1st floor rooms available. The room desk had (food?) crumbs on it and on the floor and we saw several roaches. We have been trying one nighters at different hotels awaiting a next day cruise-we won’t ever try this one again.

Besides the front desk lady to check us in every she was very sweet and nice. Motel at night was Extremely Loud could not sleep it sound like a racetrack. Shower head had maybe two or three streams coming out needs a lot of updates will never stay there again. Got 3 hours of sleep in 2 days

2bed rooms are a little tight. Ac is right next to one of the beds. No fridge or microwave. There are no tables to eat on or set your stuff on. If you plan on showering bring your own shampoo because they only give you soap. Some outlets are hanging from wall. Probably not safe. Front office staff was friendly upon check in and checkout. Our rooms were clean. Very well lit up outside. Overall my family had a great time in Galveston and the room served its purpose. Thank you Motel6

Front desk was very friendly but room was not cleaned. Hair was found on shower walls,sink and under the sheets. Chairs were covered in dirt as well. No nightstands/shelf available for phone placement.There was also no designated area to hang clothes.

The phone in the room didnt work, heater in room didnt work other customers were outside after midnite and was cussing and loud outside couldnt sleep, faucet has a very low flowvrate aerator on took around 5 minutes to get warm water out of faucet

People were selling drugs outside. The police were called. People were asking me if I wanted to buy weed. It was horrible.

All the staff were so nice, the floors in rooms could be mopped as they’re hardwood and the sheets had some marks but yeni from house keeping helped us out she was amazing.

Filthy dusty towels thin pee stains on the sheets and blanket only get a blanket not even a comforter stayed 4 days house keeping never not one time cleaned our room nor did they change out out towels I had to walk to the office to get clean towels dog poop everywhere no mini fridge no blow dryer no microwave washers and dryers 2.50 each a soda put the vending machine 2.50 water from the shower gets all over the floor

This super 6 was awesome for an overnight stay for a cruise it was close to the port and they let us park a vehicle for 6 days without a charging us and that was a huge relief. Very happy with Galveston Super 6. Will definitely use them again and Thank you to the wonderful ladies at the desk you are amazing and helpful

This location has been updated so there is no carpet. Yay! But it goes downhill from there. There are trains right next to the property going by and honking the horn all night. My bad for not checking that. Then the air conditioning unit and the exhaust fan in the bathroom (not a separate switch from the light) sound like a jet engine when they are on. I couldn't get any hot water at the sink even though there was hot water in the shower. There are not any close dining options but that was not a big deal. Sleeping was the plan and we didn't get to do a lot of that.

I haven't been able to sleep yet thanks to the construction equipment running around behind the property past 22:00. Other patrons were out in front of my room for at least half an hour - and there goes another train horn again.

The hot water took about 10 minutes to heat up before we were able to shower. The lights in the walk ways were shining in through the blinds the whole night making it hard to sleep.

Our room was over the office... We couldn't sleep because people kept going in and out slamming the door ... You can hear cars passing all day in night because of the highway. No Microwave or mini refrigerator in rooms .. house keeping could clean better and if you stay more than two days she didn't come clean or change towels. Personally I wouldn't book again but I guess others might like it for those on a budget .

me and my dad have been staying at this motel 6 for 10 years once a week. we come down there from okc to go deep sea fishing. they have fixed it up a lot. every year they have done some type of improvement. i would like to see some visible security cameras on site. the back corner by the dumpster seems to be the area nefarious characters like to rent a room and post up. if some one up to no good sees a visible deterrent that will be enough to move them on to another property to do their deeds.we always enjoy our stay here. pops is very social and talks to everyone. he really enjoys his stays here. we request a 1st floor room when we reserve and they always come through

The location of the hotel is great, it’s right at the entrance of the island and is minutes away from the beach and local attractions. The check in was smooth and easy, the attendants were efficient and quick. The price per night was fair, compared to what the surrounding hotels were quoting. No breakfast options were available, which is understandable considering that it is a drive by hotel. The room is big enough for what is intended for, an overnight stay. Overall the experience was worth the price.
