We stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Ventura Simi Valley when we visited the Ronald Reagan Library. It was a lovely stay. The room was clean and well-appointed. There were several restaurants within walking distance as well as a Walmart. The staff was friendly and helpful. The price was reasonable. All-around, a great stay.

Everyone (the staff) was courteous & friendly. I appreciate the convenience of location, close to everything that we need, including dining options & cute Makena coffee next door, & yet still quiet & safe. Would definitely come back & stay longer.

The room was clean, the bed was super comfy. But coming back each day to the bed not being made was very disappointing. I get not chaing the linens. I get not getting fresh towels but at least make the beds. I paid plenty for that. My opinion only.

I feel safe here, and i have some mobility issues at the moment, so having an elevator, and inside room access checked 2 boxes. Also, I've stayed here before, and its convenient, clean and very hospitable

We had a terrible stay due to loud music by DJ for private party all evening until 10pm. Our room was 2 floors above the party, and the music was ridiculously loud. We asked front desk staff several times to have it turned down, and their only response was that the party was booked and they could only "ask" that the music volume be lowered. Whether they ever asked I have no idea, but the loud music continued solidly until 10pm. What a nightmare!!! We booked this hotel with an expectation of good service due to brand name but never again. The morning front desk staff offered free Starbucks breakfast for our trouble, but we declined. We did get coffee though which we would have had to buy as there was no free coffee. Room was ok, beds ok not great. As mentioned, Starbucks in lobby is only coffee option other than typical room coffee with one sugar and one creamer per person.

After driving from San Francisco I was looking forward to my room and then having dinner in the hotel while working on my laptop. Instead I was told that I would have to stay at a nearby Best Western. Huge difference in price between these two properties and huge difference in comfort and safety. So I loaded all my belongings back into my car and headed to Best Western. I'm a woman who travels alone for business so I choose properties that I feel are secure. Not properties where the door is facing a street. Despite the fact that I had already paid almost $250 for my room, they would not find another room for me in their hotel. Said there was a plumbing issue. I'm sorry, the parking lot was not full, it was a Tuesday and it's a huge hotel...I'm not believing that it was sold out. I have no idea why they booted me and had no choice but to go to Best Western where my sleep was interrupted by loud banging and loud voices arguing at 3:30 in the morning. Although Marriott refunded my money and paid for my night at Best Western, they should have at the very least offered me a one nights stay in one of their properties for the HUGE inconvenience they caused. I may not ever again stay at a Marriott if this is their norm.

Nice and well maintained hotel, comfy beds with all the needed amenities. Stayed only one night and the surroundings were quiet. There was a variety of nearby restaurants. Will stay here again next time I visit.

Newly renovated rooms are very clean and comfortable. Area is safe with ample parking. Coffee shop and a few restaurants are in walking distance. Conveniently located to highway. Staff is always friendly and highly recommend.

Clerk checking us in talked very fast and didn't face us. Had to ask her to repeat herself several times. Needs training on looking directly at customer and speaking clearly and at better volume.

Check in was terrible. Started out the room I reserved wasn’t available. Don’t understand when I reserved and paid in advance. Why the hotel wouldn’t hold the room. Then the lady tried to make a joke out of the situation, which made it worse. This experience was so bad. I am not staying at this property again. This was my go to property when visiting family in Simi Valley. Several times each year.

It is a nice property and kept clean. But it would’ve been nice to have an actual restaurant in the hotel and not just Starbucks and also there were no bottled waters in the room refrigerator. Otherwise it is a nice place to stay. Also, the bed(s) were comfortable.
