Friendly helpful receptionist.
Waitress at dinner very nice too.
Overall we enjoyed our stay.
No lift and steep stairs up to second floor carrying case was only disappointment on arrival. Decoration fresh and clean for an old building.

The room itself was fine. Clean, good facilities and modern decor and even had hot chocolate on offer. The bathroom was not clean. I’ll not go into details but it was pretty bad. I went to reception and the lovely lady there was horrified and offered to move my room or to clean the bathroom herself, which she did when I left for dinner. Bathroom was spotless when I returned. The staff I dealt with were lovely. Good location too.

Room and en suite were comfortable and clean. Wifi is intermittent but if you're on holiday and want to be away from that it shouldn't be a problem

Hotel was very central short walk to shops & ferry terminal. Room was comfortable and had everything you needed. I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast definitely not cooked to order and not a very good selection of continental either this was our last hotel stay of our west coast trip and glad we only booked the one night

All in all quite good. Only ten guests staying so it was quiet. Food was reasonable but alcohol dear. Service good

This hotel felt fresh and new and was very comfortable with easy wheelchair access. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The layout of the twin room we stayed in was perfect as the main part of the room was spacious and open with the second bed in a smaller room at one corner with it's own tv so each person had a bit of privacy. The accessible loo was amazing with a huge wet room shower area with a seat. I would definitely stay again.

The property had been significantly upgraded since my last visit and the rooms all those small are fashionable and very comfortable. The staff was great and the food in the dining room delicious.

Location was perfect. Hotel not so much.

The room was awful due to the excessive noise coming from rooms around and above me.
I might as well been in the shower of the person above me, I could hear the water so clear along with the squeaking of the floorboards. Could also hear them peeing like they were in my room!
Room was excessively noisy and kept me awake at times so won’t stay here again.

The Caledonian was totally fine! We're glad we got a room there--Ullapool is beautiful and it's a great location. We didn't feel like there was anything special about the hotel but it worked for our needs. Best thing we did was walk down the road to the pub at the Arch to see live music

The hotel overall was fine but first thing in the morning we were woken at 7am by music and banging from workers at the side of the hotel, we overlooked the car park. Good good. We found it overpriced for what we had.

Good location, staff friendly and helpful and a comfortable room. Shower pressure however was not good. Ample parking. No freshly made porridge nor fresh fruit amongst breakfast choices- breakfast all self service.

Needs improvement- no place to hand clothes in bathroom, no soap stand near shower, WIFI is REALLY BAD.. hardly ever connects, NO elevator

The Caley restaurant, while adjacent, is not part of the hotel. You must make reservations or they WILL turn you away. However, good news--the Argylle Hotel has a great pub for dinner. Hotel was a good value find.

Previous reviews on the property were not that great when I booked, but when I arrived hotel had been recently refurbished and was in excellent condition. Staff extremely friendly and the optional breakfast was buffet style full Scottish options and traditional. Very good! Ullapool very small so everything is short walk along water. Beautiful!. Only thing I didn't like is the seagulls in the area screech all night long. Not hotel's fault for sure but bring earplugs! Good ones! Had to have windows open too as it was a bit warm days I was there which made it worse. Overall very enjoyable stay especially for the price.

Roooms although modern and well equipped are quite small.
The TV system is poor with a remote control that is slow in response and hard work.
It’s a long walk to some of the rooms and there are three floors and no lift.
