Just a quick overnight trip to Lanesboro. Shayla at Stone Mill is super friendly and very accommodating. Looking forward to staying again at some point in time.

In a small town, unhurried atmosphere.

My husband and I stayed for just an overnight. A much needed getaway. The Stone Mill being an old granary renovated into a hotel was the perfect spot! Lots of character and uniqueness for sure. The owner was there when we checked in and gave us a little history on the place as he walked us to our room and gave us the run down on how things worked. We were within. Walking distance of everything fun to do, including the brewery right across the street. I would stay here again for sure! It was the perfect little getaway!

Staff does their job above expectations. This Hotel from cleanliness of the Carpet to the upkeep of the bathrooms are above majority of other Hotels. This Hotel is so well kept in the years that have past it don't show deterioration of the property.

Loved our room. The bathroom was really nice and clean. The water was really soft! We asked for extra pillows and sheets for the pull out sofa bed and they had everything we needed. Thank you for such a great stay!

Such a warm welcome when I arrived! My room was absolutely charming - it was in the Feed Mill with a lovely stone wall, wooden beams, and high ceiling. It also had a small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The light breakfast included hard boiled eggs, yogurt, coffee, and scrumptious pastries made at a local shop. But best of all was chatting with the host. It was a wonderful weekend.

For a B&B I was extremely disappointed in the breakfast portion of the stay, especially given the price of the room. They offered only cold continental (basically a few pastries, instant oatmeal, and hard boiled eggs you peel yourself). Also, they neglected to state that the entire city is mostly closed down in the winter months so there was much in the way of food for other meals without having to travel a fairly long distance.

This comment is not about the actual Stone Mill Hotel. I called them to confirm my reservation a couple days before. Mt reservation was in place. I called the day we intended to go, and there had been a double booking of my room. One person arranged directly with the hotel, I went through Expedia and somehow, don't know how, the room was booked for both parties. Fortunately, I called because we have Covid and needed to cancel. Has I just showed up, there would have been a problem. My paperwork from Expedia says my reservation was accepted.

Everything about this hotel was amazing!! Beds super comfy, rooms quiet, relaxed atmosphere, staff awesome and helpful, breakfast was delicious!!!

We had the full Amish experience with the Amish tour along wuth our stay in the very comfortable Amish room at the stone mill hotel. Lanesboro is the perfect back drop excelling in old world cham with lovly views and quaint shops. The root river beckons all for a float down the river and bike trail next to it was one the first rails to trails transitions in the country in the 1980s.

Clean and comfortable, friendly and helpful staff, within walking distance to dining and entertainment. Bike Storage area is very nice and only a couple blocks away from the trails!
