Apparently hotel underwent partly renovation, some parts of the rooms look unfinished and old. Reception and concierge service could be better. However met a service crew in breakfast place that was really energetic and helpful.

An ok place but not as premium as one expects from 5-star hotels in China. Service & class off restaurant staff is relatively low as well as the overall flow and feel of the reception area. Room is ok but nothing special.

Really nice hotel, well decorated and well situated. Staff friendly at reception and concierge desk. I stayed for 6 nights in two different stays and got upgraded to an executive room on my second stay, which was a very nice gesture. The downside was the set check in time at 3pm which generates long queues especially on Saturday. I’m sure there must be a better system to avoid such issue that they admitted was a recurring one.

First day the curtain malfunctioned, and the bathtub plug broke! After hours of fixing, they allowed a room change but that wasted half of the day! Second day after the room change, it seemed fine, until I took a shower, the water flooded out due to drainage problem, the whole bathroom was filled with water! A technician was sent again, and I had to wait in the room again for it to be fixed and have all the mats and towers changed. Not the quality i was expecting for Conrad

Excellent location, poor room design (i.e. the room is meant for guest to stay not just for fancy design). Its toilet downgrades conrad's standard as a premium hotel brand.

The location is very good. However, the room design is like a white elephant, i.e. beautiful but useless: small and inconvenient toilet and shower room, plus big and useless walking hallway. It has not reached the top tier standard of a conrad (probably because it was taken over from Le Meridien).

There was a very inconvenient situation with this hotel.The hotel was very nice besides this problem.The flight to Shanghai was delayed due to a storm and o called to inform them but doe to some miscommunication within the hotel the message was not passed and they had cancelled my booking.I had chatted with Expedia and the hotel assured a full refund back which o have not received as yet.

部屋はきれいで素敵な感じです。部屋にずっと滞在する分にはゆっくりできるホテルだと思います。外灘にも近いので旅行者にはよいホテルです。残念だったのはジムとスイミング・プール。カウンターの人はけっこうな冷たさで、かつ、あんまり導線もよくないし、きれいでもなかったです。そこにいかなければその他のスタッフは皆さん親切で素敵なホテルでした。

Going up and down th elevator from lobby to room was a problem. Only 2 of 4 elevators work. And there are so many people waiting to get in. Funny hotel did not think of operating the other 2 elevators Also people cram into elevators causing hazard of getting stuck and dangerous.

The room condition is good. However, the food quality of the restaurant for breakfast is so so. The chef was not able to cook “Sun Side Up Eggs”. The first round was rejected due to the egg yolk being broken. I requested to cook the second round but the bottom of the egg was over done seriously. In general, raw materials of food are fine but the cooking skill of chef is below standard.

Great location for shopping and sightseeing.nice rooms , and I liked the breakfast buffet. The check in lobby area a little clustered.staff spoke and understood English. Would recommend le royal meridian, to others, and would return there in the future

The Hotel is in a excellent location but the property is dirty, the service is terrible! The beds were dirty , the room ceiling and walls had stains, the toilet was not flushing and the maid service was awful. I will never stay in this hotel again! the quality of food is extremely low as well.

the hotel is a bit 90s style in the room. and I was expecting much more from a 5stars about the concierge service: many people barely understand/speak English. the staff is polite and kind, but I was expecting more. the same about the room, it is good, but nothing special for the price and comparing to other hotels in shanghai. the description is "separate bath tube and shower": there is a bath tube and in the same room a rainfall on the ceiling, but not a real shower box.

Hotel was overpriced, room was smelly, damp with humidity. The hotel and guest rooms are outdated. Needs a renovation, carpets in the hallway and guest room were dirty and a dirty brown sofa. Bed was sofa and under comfortable. Terrible guest room floor plan, shower next to the tub open area, then when you step out of the shower your in the living rm. There’s no privacy! This is only a 2 star hotel. Caught in Lekima typhoon we released our room to go to the airport and then, the City Centre Marriott sold out. We had stayed there for 6 days, definitely a 5 star hotel with all the luxury and amenities.

Great location, close to shopping and restaurants. City view room has spectacular view of Bund. Rooms are a bit dated, finishes are not as new/clean as expected. Beds were not comfortable for me.

Nice place, excellent location. The lobby and other areas are newly renovated, but the rooms could really use some work too. The chair in my room showed some heavy use with the upholstery being really worn. If they are able to freshen up the rooms, I would give this a too rating.

Good location next to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street with lots of shopping and good food. Metro station nearby. Spacious Deluxe King room that was neat, clean and comfortable. Staff was generally pleasant and courteous. Enjoyable stay.

Good location - right on the nanjing road shopping street and the hotel floors just above a big shopping mall and restaurants, very convenient. The well known Bund waterfront area is is within walking distance. Great service - received great help with booking taxis, and Didi. One of our luggage was missing, didn’t arrive with the flight, the hotel staffs helped contact the airport and tracked the missing luggage which was finally delivered to the hotel same day at night. The hotel also offered help with our local delivery. We really appreciated all the help and great service!
