Nice spot but very isolated - perfect if you want to lie by the pool all day, every day. Not so good if you want easy access to activities or dining etc.
5.0
Overall it was good however the beach front bure rooms had unfinished construction site just right in front of our balcony which made it not a great view. Hope to see it finished next time
6.0
Pretty average property, food was not good at all nor was breakie, property had heaps of insects and AC was not the best also - overall average experience

Great place to stay and would love to go back
8.0
Great place to stay, only the restaurants are a bit expensive and not much choice if you choose to dinning.

Staff - lots of positives with some negatives that can be worked on. No split beds on arrival, one toilet role for 4 people, 2 towels for 4 people - all workable
6.0
Food at the beach restaurant is terrible the dinner buffet is ok both are way overpriced

The property had a lovely view and bure on the beach had fans and ac. The staff were lovely but the place was very unorganised. Mis information thoughout our stay. We needed to request a towel and bed linin change after 4 days.

Overall the place was beautiful full of trees and nature

The huts at the property were very impressive as most of them had sea view. They let us check in very early as we landed early in the morning and room was available.
Breakfast and food was ok.

The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas. I booked a bure with ocean view but my bure was all the in the back. Also the staff was very friendly but the service was slow.

Staff were lovely and very friendly. Taxis recommended by Resort too expensive

The shower did not drain properly and overflowed into the rest of the bathroom. Had mold in the corners of the shower. On the first day we found the bed sheet had stains and had to be replaced. The standard of the breakfast could be improved.
Overall had a very enjoyable stay. The staff are amazing, and they are an asset the hotel.

I liked the people and the the property, but was a bit disappointed with the location

A disappointing experience compared to other Fiji resorts and other Double Tree locations. I stayed in one of the Bure rooms, which are spacious and have Fijian styling. Unfortunately my bathroom smelled terrible upon check in and there were lingering smells of something like body odor throughout the room. The physical condition of the property appeared to be lacking – most of the roofs of the Bure rooms had tarps covering sections or had missing sections of roof shingles and several sidewalks and paths have crumbling cement. The restaurant music was so loud that conversation was difficult and the food quality was below average and not on par with other Double Tree locations. I ordered room service on the second night and after waiting nearly an hour I called back and room service had to ask me for my order again, which was finally delivered 90 minutes after my first call. The breakfast buffet had sufficient variety but several items such as the scrambled eggs were stone cold. My wife was interested in a spa service, but upon visiting the spa 1 hour after their opening time, no one was present and the front desk staff could not locate the spa attendant. The beach access was also disappointing, as there is a beach at one end of the property but only about a 100 meter section was usable - the rest was covered with trees and old tires. The staff are very friendly but this property was low value for the premium price and did not have the expected experience of a Hilton property.

A nice property that is set in beautiful lush garden grounds. Fiji attracts us time and again not just because of its beautiful beaches and setting, but because of the beautiful people. The staff at Double Tree were no exception to this - open, friendly, always willing to help and greet you with a warm "Bula!". This was a particularly difficult time for them... we arrived a day before Cyclone Mal hit after transferring (last-minute) from one of the island resorts so that we could make our connecting flight back to NZ before the ferries were cancelled (the flight ended up being cancelled anyway). We were told to remain in our rooms for our safety during the cyclone, and food was delivered to us. This was a brilliant arrangement, and after the winds passed, staff immediately sprung into action around the resort to clear the debris, reinstate normality, and reassure visitors.
Where the resort is really lacking is in the food/dining space - perhaps this was due to the weather events. The buffet selection for breakfast and dinner was average at best, often seemed to be random (choices that just didn't seem to go together), and serving dishes regularly empty for long periods due to the piggish buffet mentality of some guests. We watched a couple next to us bring their own bottled softdrink, tell staff that "only one of us will be having buffet thanks", then proceed to mound several plates which they shared between them. No wonder they have to crank the buffet prices up!

The only thing that was not good was the food. They need to make the food better. Breakfast was ok. There was a good choice and the fresh omelettes are beautiful. The boost juice for the day was exceptional. However, the evening dining needs to be worked on. The only evening that had good food is the Fijian night. The entertainment was great and when the staff all sang together it was exceptional. It is a quiet resort which was what we wanted. So if you want a night life there isn't one. Apart from this the resort and the staff were fantastic.

Not the same experience anymore, been here before couple times but disappointed this trip.
Front desk and kitchen staff could definitely use customer service training.
Wouldn't go here again

Great little resort that I would highly recommend for a short stay. Not a lot of eating options (Buffet or A La Carte only), but decent pricing for a Fijian resort. Staff are extremely attentive and friendly. Less family orientated, so was a much quieter, relaxed vibe. Stayed in a bure which was worth the extra money. Cannot recommend this place enough. Photo's online don't do it justice! Beautiful property to walk around.

I would highly recommend this property because it was always clean and well maintained. The staff there were absolutely beautiful an so welcoming. We enjoyed our stay for the 1 week we were there. Breakfast staff Toks, Jim & Tia were so lovely to us every morning never failed to let us down definitely 10/10 for them. Our Bar staff Amini & Pate hands down the most sociable staff to connect with an communicate with 10/10 customer service was on point an all the laughs. Our Buggy driver Jone always kept us safe an attended to bring us what we needed in the room everyday when he was on shift. Thank you very much double tree we will be back again xxx from the B78 girls 😊

I like the privacy of the island resort. The staff are very courteous, helpful and go out of their way to be of help.
It's a bit far from the shopping precinct.

Fantastic hotel, everything works. Great grounds, pool, restaurant and Wi-Fi. The rooms are outstanding

The service was exceptional

Unfortunately the food really let this property down. The buffet was overpriced for what it was and both dinner and breakfast buffet was not good. The outdoor restaurant took over an hour and a half to serve us before we opted to get snacks from the convenience store as a make shift dinner instead. Not up to Hilton standards.

The property was pretty run down and very very basic. There is no beach access and the island is quite far out of the way. The staff were fanatsic, we enjoyed pool, swim up bar and food and drinks.

Substantial complex, catering to everybody. Clean and tidy rooms.

The staff were very friendly and ready to offer their services. Beautiful resort!

The staff were very friendly and we were greeted with a cookie and popsicle which was nice.
I did not like the poor lighting in the room. We were trying to pack our bags around 7pm and couldn’t see anything in the room. There’s minimal lighting next to the beds and that’s it. Also makes it hard to get ready. There was an awful smell from the bathroom as well. The air conditioning was quite poor. It was basically a fan and the only place it felt cool was standing directly under it. We had trouble sleeping for 2 of the 3 nights because it was so hot in the room. Also, the breakfast was expensive for what you get. The options were very limited. I could’ve paid $10 in Canada for a breakfast like that and here I paid the equivalent of about $25 Canadian. We tried to opt out on the second day because it wasn’t worth it and we were told we couldn’t opt out. So basically I just took 4 apples and a muffin with me in my bag to try and make it somewhat worthwhile.

Great stay and staff were awesome and super friendly. Just our room wasn’t serviced and no towels when we arrived. But was sorted quick Pool was awesome and Fiji celebration day in the pool was great we played volleyball and the staff joined. My son loved the golf cart that takes you around the island. No snorkeling or swimming beach but we booked day trips to south sea which I highly recommend. Breakfast and the food was awesome and no complaints throughout love the different theme every night with the buffet. Great stay.

Very beautiful surroundings with tropical plants around and water. But if need to go somewhere, it is very far from anywhere. Taxi booked from hotel are very expensive compare to local taxis. They have fixed price and expensive. Breakfast
Buffet is the best however, dinner buffe is expensive and not worth it.
