The staff was amazing and the room was perfect for me. I enjoyed the free breakfast and the fruits and recommendations from the staff on where to get food and what to do. A very pleasant stay I would recommend and stay here again

The overall stay was nice. There was a few things that hindered the comfort level of everything. For one the tv in bedroom did not work at all. Couldn’t get it to connect to Wi-Fi. The WIfi itself is no good at all the service is terrible. So we had no way to watch a movie while in bed during our stay.

Good, smooth check-in. Quiet. Clean lobby, rooms and grounds. Spacious rooms. Large frig, stove and microwave. Comfortable for 3 ladies to share. Clean bathroom and tub a plus. One small downside -- the breakfast. It was biscuits and gravy. The gravy was starting to dry out. No eggs. Sausage not cooked well. Then the next day was the same. Gravy so unappealing. Apples, bagels, boiled eggs, yogurt was other options.

The breakfast consisted of bagels and bread. That was it, the normal breakfast Mainstay was not out. The food ran out and no one was working to replace it.

Room has a bad smell…we thought turning on AC and spraying some room spray would help but the bad smell kept returning…smelled something like urine.

We traveled the country from California to florida staying at hotels like this close to the road, this was the most expensive and worst. You couldn’t walk barefoot in the room how dirty, it smelled and the breakfast was a joke just bread, yogurt and oatmeal

Not a great place to stay. I had reserved three rooms of a certain type, but they only had two. They gave me a pet friendly room on the first floor that had windows that did not lock. When I said, I wanted the room I had reserved they said I had to pay extra for it. I refused, and said that is not acceptable and I want the room that I had reserved for the price I had reserved at for. The woman at the front desk called a manager, and they gave in. On another note, the breakfast is a joke, with some of the worst selections for food I’ve seen in a hotel that offers free breakfast.

Nice folks manning the front desk. Breakfast area was very tidy and clean with usual limited continental breakfast. Room was just weird - not nearly enough light and the single light fixture in the ceiling didn't provide enough light for the shower or the sink. Impossible to shave due to low lighting levels from the only overhead light. Tiny television that couldn't be easily seen from anywhere in the room due to poor positioning.

We stayed here for the New Year celebration in Port Saint Joe and we will do it again. The staff was very friendly and there was a shuttle to town.

As soon as we walked into the room a cockroach ran across the counter, then on the last night we were there the entire hotel lost power and all the way until we checked out still had no power.

Great location for port st joe and scalloping. The bed was very comfortable. Rooms were dark and quiet. Spacious and really enjoyed the full size frig and the kitchen area. Pool was nice and the breakfast suited us just fine. The property was very clean. The only suggestion would be updating some. We would definitely stay here again.

For the price of the room and to have no TV Service and a mediocre breakfast at best, i was very disappointed. Had stayed there before and the service was much better! The young lady at the check in counter was very nice and tried to fix the TV and /or find another room, but the TV Service in all the rooms were inoperative. Breakfast consisted of hot oatmeal and and boiled eggs and bagels!

The hotel is nice enough. It’s older and worn and our room smelled of mildew, staff was able to get us a de-humidifier. They were extremely nice. The bed was comfy.

The rooms are old and need remodeling. The room had a very moldy smell that spraying disinfectant couldn’t hide. The bathroom was a disaster. The drains were very slow, mold around the wood trim and tile and hunks of grout were missing between the tiles. The furniture in the room has seen better days. The tv was too small for the room. The maintenance guy and the front desks staff were extremely friendly and helpful but their great attitude could not overcome the deplorable conditions of the room. MainStay Suites should be embarrassed for allowing this property to deteriorate.

The front desk person was no where to be found at check out. The "breakfast" person could not keep up with the coffee. The TV reception was in and out with most channels. The room was nice and clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The problems are not enough to keep us away for another stay especially with the prices in the area.

When we opened door to room yoy could smell mold and carpet was wet. A Dehumitiferwea running the entire stay. Killed 5 roaches in room! Sad!!!

The breakfast was horrible and not at all what is advertised but worse was the malfunctioning mold ridden ac unit in our room. The staff does their best with what they are given & they seemed very kind but the hotel needs to be more honest about what they can deliver and the condition of the rooms/equipment.
