We loved Hopkins Bay Resort!! Comfortable room, amazing beach, pool and restaurant. We also loved the kayaks, paddle boards and bicycles ( for use at no extra charge). A friendly and helpful staff was a bonus. We'll be back.

We traveled to 3 different areas in Belize. All Hotels/Lodging was top notch, but Hopkins Bay was our favorite. The staff is AMAZING!!!! The property gorgeous and the vibe was exactly what we needed.

Everything about Hopkins Bay Resort is top notch! The staff is very friendly, attentive to guests every need. FREE bicycles, FREE paddle boards, FREE kayaks are only a few of the perks. The Rhum Shack restaurant is amazing and the prices are reasonable. My wife and I started our stay in Hopkins Village at another property but ended our stay at Hopkins Bay Resort - Praise God we did!! We will definitely be back

Everybody was extremely friendly and helpful. We had an ocean front room and it was wonderful listening to the waves crashing when we went to sleep and woke up. Special shout out to Wilber, the best barman ever! Food and drinks were excellent. Just north of the village, so nice and peaceful but close enough to cycle in on the complimentary bicycles.

We stayed at Hopkins Bay for 7 nights. We were in a one-bedroom oceanfront with an amazing view! The rooms are huge and have a front and back balcony. Our room was on the beach and right next to one pool. The free bike rentals are very convenient for trips into town if you don’t want to walk or have a car. There are many restaurants within walking or biking distance as well as the rum shack, the food was delicious! It was off season when we went so there was some construction and repairs being done but did not interfere with our stay. The staff were all very friendly and helpful! We would stay there in the future!

Hopkins Bay Belize Resort, is a fantastic property. It's located at one end of the beautiful little beach village of Hopkins easily walking distance to some great local food places and local culture. We had a one-bedroom upper suite with views of the beach and the ocean. It was so quiet and beautiful. The team running the resort were all very friendly and helpful, everyone called me by name and vibe was very relaxed and comfortable. The room was cleaned and the drinking water refilled every day. I loved that it was clean and cool inside but not sterile like a corporate hotel. We were getting scuba certified so most of our days we were going to and from the Belize Underwater dive center. Transportation was arranged by the resort and we had lovely friendly drivers. There was a fantastic activity desk, but since we were diving, we didn't book any additional tours through them. The lobby has a small shop built in with a few necessities (sunscreen etc) in case you need them and a few treats (candy, soda and chips) in case you just want a snack. The Rhum Shack restaurant/bar is really delicious and reasonably priced. The drinks are cold, delicious and refreshing. The food was so fresh, delicious well-seasoned flavors and good variety. We enjoyed all our meals there, but particularly the stuffed fry jacks at breakfast and the lobster, pastas and salads at dinner. I also tried the ribeye and it was wonderful. Overall, I'd recommend this property to anyone, it was a perfect stay.

Hopkins Bay Muy Ono is wonderful for its service and food at the restaurant. It is a small and quiet resort, perfect for relaxing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

I liked the location at the sea, with great sunsets. There were kayaks,, bikes and two pools. The room was smaller than appeared on the website. One bed is exactly what took up most of the space. It was a small studio. Great hot water ĺd shower pressure. The food in the restaurant was okay, but nothing special. The bar service and staff were good, as was the entertainment.

I didn't Like my room I LOVED it. Studio includes whole too floor. They happily helped trans me in my wheelchair. I sat by beach waiting for Manatee to swim by. Hot water shower!!! I've been many times. The help told me the story is still being told when a worker carried me on his back to office through knee deep H2O. Thanks for daring dedicated from Hopkins resort.

Hopkins Bay is a beautiful resort with great food and great service. My room was beautiful just as advertised and had a lovely view of the bay. It was windy and the bay was a little rough when we were there but that's why there is also a pool to swim in. Highly recommended.

My husband and I were treated like gold at this resort. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The property was clean, the restaurant was tasty, the ground well maintained daily and the accommodations were top of the line. If there was only one item to improve upon, it would be the "spa". We got massages, and there is no enclosed indoor facility to have those services, or even change clothes. Nevertheless, it was a unique experience and I was not disappointed with my massage. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to have a quiet, safe, resort stay that is relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable.

The accommodation (2-bedroom villa, kitchen, beach view) was really spacious and comfortable for 4 adults. The beds were decorated with flowers to welcome us, which was a nice touch. One of the pools and the beach were very close by, as was the Rhum Shack Restaurant which has open air dining. Food was delicious - the fish burger especially so (had it twice!) We enjoyed spending time at the beach which had loungers and hammocks, plus kayaks and paddle boards to use. There was a fair amount of rubbish on the beach the first night of our stay, but it was cleaned up and raked by the next day. Although the resort is north of Hopkins, the village is walking distance and has some great dining options.

Our room was a few steps from the beach. Beach and pools were uncrowded - we sometimes had them to ourselves. The restaurant was great. Everyone was gracious, warm, happy and helpful. The property was doing a lot to contribute to the community, a village of 1400 with kids playing, chickens roaming, etc. There were free kayaks and bikes, although they could have used mire bikes. All in all, lovely stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Hopkins Bay Resort. The location was great - right on the prefect beach and close to town with dinning options. Our family stayed in the 3 bedroom house and there was plenty of room to spread out. The Rhum Shack was great with friendly service.

Wonderful view from villa 1801. We looked out on the water, over the pool and at the campus bar. The staff was very friendly and quick to make sure we were happy. The food always takes a long time - but that was true for everywhere we went in Belize. Our place was very comfortable and the grounds were easy to get around. The beach was not usable while we were there due to high winds and so much sea grass on the shoreline, but the pool made up for it. The grounds go quiet by 8:30 at night which is great for us early to bed people!

As we have never been to Belize before I wasn't looking forward to a 3 hr drive to Hopkins Bay, but man it was worth it. This was a fantastic experience. Everyone working there was great. Our room was fantastic. The food as delicious. We have ZERO complaints. We will go back!

All the staff were friendly and personable. The beach was steps away and the views were beautiful. They had an array of different excursions to pick from and made everything so easy. The food and drinks at the Rhum Shack were delicious. I have absolutely no complaints but all praise!

The pictures on Expedia completely misrepresented the resort. “Beach View” was no such thing. The conditions of the grounds was not good - broken stones, broken lighting, etc. Two villas, including the one right next to us, were under significant repair that destroyed the view and created significant noise. The van used to transport us to town was unsafe on many levels. There was on place to eat/drink on property and while the food was good the drinks were very expensive. The villa kitchens were terribly equipped. Even though we had eight people on the reservation, there was only dishes/towels/etc. for six people. There were other issues. The staff were nice and responsive. I would not recommend the property.
