Relaxing get away a short distance from Quito. Papallacta feels like luxury in nature.

While Expedia was a big problem, this beautiful spa and hotel are not to be missed. The thermal pools, cute cabins, privacy and world class spa treatments make this a must visit if you are in Ecuador.

The hot tubs were lovely and well kept. The hiking trail was gorgeous. Jennyfer at the front desk was very kind and helpful. I resented the high cost in the restaurants. There is no way to leave the property to eat so they have you captive and charge a very high amount for poor quality food. The free breakfast was terrible tasting.. inedible.

Everything and everyone who works here were excellent. This is the prettiest hot springs resort I have ever seen.

Everything was wanderfull

From the minute we arrived, we knew this place would be an awesome experience. And it was! Friendly staff, nicely appointed rooms, hot spring pools right outside our door. Food was great, and everything felt just right our entire stay.

The property is wonderful. The gardens around the pools are magical. A lovely experience only marred by an unfortunate experience in the restaurant. Somehow, service was abysmal. My friends got their dinners, mine (the same dish as theirs) came 30 minures later. We couldn't seem to get our server's attebtion at all for a second round of drinks, dessert or even just a slice of lemon for the trout which wasn't on their plate but was on mine. My friends ended up sharing their dinner with me before my dinner arrived. After another 30 minutes waiting for a check since it was clear we couldn't get dessert, we finally got up and found another server since ours had abandoned us so we could pay. Possibly there was a communication problem but not sure what it could have been.

Just a wonderful experience, surrounded by mountains and fresh air. Room was comfortable with heated floors and quiet. Many pools surrounding the rooms at different temperatures and available at night for guests. Great hiking and trails with waterfalls a short distance away. Restaurant on site with great food and service. Amazing place, wished I could stay longer.

Great place to relax and enjoy nature. Hot baths in front of your room very private. Would have like to stay longer but more certainly will come back.

It is an amazing place to stay, we had a cabina and it was 100% over the top, roomy, comfortable, ideally located and the amenities were excellent. The included breakfast was huge and the access to the hiking trails and pools was truly a treat, especially after traveling for a couple of weeks. We did not use the spa. One precaution - DO NOT USE their laundry service! They charge a lot by the piece and what would be one load of laundry became a $75 load of laundry and they lost items - not great when we had a couple of more weeks of travel.

All the staff were excellent, and the girls at the desk spoke excellent English and didn’t even laugh at our attempts in Spanish! Loved all the thermal pools, especially nice right outside the room. We had access to the public area pools, but those right outside our room were so nice and convenient, we stayed there. The restaurant was a bit pricey, so we walked down the road for dinner and had several options. The included breakfast was amazing, so many options! The room was beautiful and smelled so nice, and we enjoyed the trail along the energetic stream-several nice rapids.

The property is beautiful, great ambience. I would love to stay here again. Also got two massages which were very reasonably priced. Food at the hotel restaurant was good.

Wonderful experience

The staff was efficient and profesional, however, they could have been friendlier.

Staff was fantastic. They even have a doctor on staff available for guests free of charge. Thermal pools were fantastic and we relaxed while watching the hummingbirds attacking the multitude of beautiful flowers everywhere around the pools.

One of the best hot spring hotels we have seen – pools are beautifully built into the grounds; the restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices; the spa is excellent and so is the hike up into the national park starting from the doorstep. The hotel was very helpful in accommodating late arrival as well as early departure with take-away breakfast. The road to Quito airport is good.

Our room was spectacular! Surrounded by beautiful scenery and we loved the thermal pools around it! Staff was astounding!
